  1. For the guys who have problems with noisey sway bars from the bushes. Just use plumbers tape (white tape for pipes) to wrap around the bar before fitting the bushes on to the bar. Should get rid of the noise 100% and last a very long time. As for quality control. CONROD is right. But you should try to claim it on warranty. Goodluck on it. Got a mate with an 22mm Ultra Racing Sway bar on his yaris. Not troubles from that yet. But i guess its different to the Aurion as it doesnt have much weight to balance.
  2. Congrats on the new car. But thats unlucky that it came with problems too. Did they end up replacing the transponder ECU? Assuming they did cause you will have to take apart the dash to get to it. Also for the exhaust i think i may know someone that might buy it depending on what brand exhaust.
  3. My pants are becoming tight. Looking good. Any plans on a lip kit?
  4. I would love one, but the price tag is a bit dear for what it is.
  5. Here is a link that kolourhero is selling. CR Kai. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=25894 I got BC Coilovers from justjap/ebay for $1200. They are ok. Would be nicer if they had stiffer spring rates.
  6. Those rims look nice. Work CR Kai style. I would personally go with 15 or 16 so you get more tyre sidewall to make the car more comfortable for everyday driving. As for offset, anything around 38+ is ok. I've been through 17s and 16s but swapped back down to stock wheels due to comfort. I do have coilovers. Always loved the wide wheels with stretched tyre look.
  7. Yeah goodridge is ADR approved. They are awesome. Have you got them in yet? It will be like stepping on a stone, nice and hard.
  8. Thats a nice hilux. You must get heaps of wheel spin with that supercharger. I get wheelspin with just the plain V6.. So anymore performance mods?
  9. Thanks Kenneth for your reply, very helpful. I'll change the tyre pressures tomorrow to what you recommend but I've also got it booked in for a wheel alignment at a Tyre place on Tuesday. The Toyota dealer didn't give me any alignment values from the wheel alignment they did. I wonder whether they keep them on record? Toyota should have gave you a sheet of the correction they did. I suspect they didn't do the wheel alignment. But to be honest, i would take it to a tyre specialist. I know it will cost you for the wheel alignment, but im sure they will give you a decent wheel alignment and a print out.
  10. Hey, Yeah went to check them out. Apparently none of the repco stores had any. Saw that last time. But i got a set now. Thanks anyway. =)
  11. Cheers Mick and Andy. Will try my luck there. The one in Maddington dont have any. So i was thinking they dont sell them no more. Doing that throttle body chip swap.. is there anything to look out for that can be damaged in the process?
  12. Hey Mick. Im curious to know where you got the jaycar splits from? As far as i know jaycar doesnt sell them anymore. The yaris is coming along nicely. Oh yeah with the 1ZZ throttle body, did you buy it ready to fit or did you have to swap the guts over?
  13. 1 - AE92 CSI Corolla, white. Good car to thrash around. 2 - Gen 2 CRX, black. great handling monster and powerful for what it is. 3 - 05 Facelift Corolla, didnt have it for long, passed it on to one of my family members 4 - R33 Four Door. Most powerful car i've ever owned. Very fun to drive especially it being rear wheel. 5 - NCP90 Yaris, blue. Good daily and bashing around corners. Still have it. 6 - 05 SR5 V6 Hilux 4x4. New addition. Very comfortable, and goes pretty good.
  14. Yeah was thinking of second hand ones. Usually go around $100 mark. But cheers for that ad. Will go check it out on thursday. $29 for 5inch fusion splits is a bargain.
  15. spotted Jayme on albany highway around 4.30 going towards nicholson road. Surprised i spotted you this time.
  16. Have you lifted and fitted muddies on the Hilux? I might go for abit Unfortunately not yet. But just researching on which lift kit to get and how high i want to go. Surprisingly 4WD suspension isn't cheap compared to 2WD car suspension. Meet point is pretty far.
  17. Hi, Just after a cheap set of 6" or 6.5" splits/component speakers. Preferably after Alpine, Pioneer and Jaycar Response Splits.. Let me know what you got. Cheers. Vincent.
  18. Nice. It's tempting to cruise. Which toyota shall i bring out if i go. Hmm. =)
  19. Tempting. But do you have any idea if these are any good?
  20. Nice rims. Assuming they are 16s? haha you've finally found some. They look two piece...
  21. I never had a problem with the OEM pads, but I changed them after 35,000kms anyway. The main difference I've noticed is better resistance to brake fade (Nebo runs were the reason I upgraded :P) and cold bite has improved. Everytime I put the brakes on the first couple of times in the morning I'm always jerking them on because I'm not expecting them to bite so well. Performance during general driving is pretty much the same as OEM but they are there when you need that extra braking force. Coupled with the Brake Assist they work incredibly well :) Thanks for the info on the ACRE pads. Keen on upgrading brake pads. Already got braided lines and im very happy with them. But one think i want to know, do these pads produce a lot of brake dust? Its just i hate cleaning my rims all the time. OEM doesnt produce much, if not ill just stick to OEM.
  22. Aww that sucks. You got hit, and you only just got your car resprayed. But i feel sorry for the dealerships up in osborne park.. Good luck on getting that fixed. My mates corolla is worse, mirror cover is missing, roof, bonnet, taillights and front windscreen all have hail damage.
