  1. Oh well, best of luck with it. I guess it just goes to show, it's not always the best product that sells - like how people still buy crap cars instead of getting a good toyota... LOL
  2. I don't know how true it is, but I heard that Apple can remove apps you've paid for (or not paid for as the case may be) and installed on your iPhone if they so choose to. I also HIGHLY DISLIKE iTunes, and refuse to install it on any of my computers - I think the last time I saw software so buggy and crap was Windows ME! Finally, I don't like how Apple controls the market place for apps like it does - I have read about a great C64 emulator that was released that let you play old C64 games on it. Apple pulled the plug on it once someone realised there was a way to get to a basic prompt on it. WTF?!? And I realise some of these might be fake, but I'm sure some are not, and most of them are funny as (although probably not too work safe): http://damnyouautoco...y/best-of-dyac/ I know my next phone will be Android based, and there is no way I'd even consider an iFail. My opinion only, add salt/sugar/milk as necessary...
  3. NOT WORK FRIENDLY, LOTS OF USE OF THE F WORD!
  4. I should be able to make whatever, just name a place and time guys.
  5. LOL. Completely didn't realise that the email notifications contain post content as well. Considering our Brisbane meet is pretty much only guys, didn't want to put across the wrong message. Could have easily have been interpreted the wrong way which would be a little creepy. *deep thinking mood*.. even the meet is fill with guys, all you guys have ''sports cars'' for me is not a sport car :) Nah, not at all, my Corolla is no sports car, no mater how much I'd like it to be one. B) Come along, we have a great bunch of friendly people on this site.
  6. Damn, sounds like I missed a top night. Sorry I didn't update to say I wouldn't be there, was very much a last second thing. Long story massively shortened, I didn't get back to Melbourne until about 10pm last night, because my little Corolla had left Melbourne to get to Adelaide 11pm Friday night with 3 mates in it, then we picked up a car in Adelaide at about 9:30am and drove back. Took it easy both ways, stopped a good number of times to get out and stretch our legs and get something to eat and drink, and also to change drivers. By the time I got back in to Melbourne all I wanted to do was finally get some sleep! My Corolla did me proud, filled the tank before leaving Melbourne, then 410kms later (after the decent climb before Ballarat), I filled the tank again and it only took 26 litres. Not bad, particularly considering that was with 4 adults and a heck of alot of luggage stuffed into the back - it looked lowered, hahaha. And it got that same sort of economy all the way there and all the way back, so I'm very happy indeed with that. Sill got to wash all the bugs off the front - particularly the locusts - but I think doing over 1500kms in 24 hours is a fairly marathon effort, and to do it on less then 3 x 50 litre tanks of petrol is very good for a car that's nearly 20 years old! Oh what a feeling!!! Anyway, I'm shattered I missed this one, I was hoping that I'd be back in time, but it wasn't worth rushing and perhaps having an accident - the last few hundred kms were tough as it was! So... When's the next one? B)
  7. my name is Tim and i'm not white ;) sos john and tommy and others i cant think of names :P But come on. Troy of all names sounds the most Aussie or non-asian... I hope This is me with my son: And I'd forgive anyone for thinking not only "Aussie" but adding "Bogan" to that, hahaha. At least now you'll know who the practically blad guy is, LOL So glad you said that. I'd imagine Johnny would have cried if there wouldn't be enough food. So would I.... BTW, what food are we talking about here?
  8. Hahaha after these last few days with plenty of sun, I'm not so much white as red, hahaha. Damn I hate sunburn!
  9. Because the TV isn't quoting RRP price, it is quoting driveaway price (which all dealers must now do), which includes stamp duty, dealer delivery fee (the "$2000 car wash") etc etc. Good point, I hadn't thought of that.
  10. Probably so when the salesman in the Honda dealership "negotiates you a better price" he can drop down to under $30,000, and you think "Wow, he's giving me a good price, I'll take it".
  11. oh please do come... then the boys will give her ideas about modging her rolla! Not modgin. Improving! fuqn hell you're quick i thought i edited that in time Sorry mate, no offence intended, I still would have said the same thing, just with the correct spelling, because improving sounds better then modding to non-car people I'd say
  12. Well if you know Essendon, then you should know Broadmeadows? I can meet you at broady if you like and we could go from there??? Or.. to make it easier for you, I can meet you closer to your area. Sunshine Ave? Just off the Calder. Really easy to get to the meet from there. Edit: I said 'closer to your area,' then realised you still need to drive over 120km on the Calder anyway Could we organise that as a pre-meeet meet or something like that? I'll be coming over from Mitcham (near Ringwood, pretty much the opposite side of Melbourne for those who don't know), and wouldn't mind meeting up with a few others and then heading there as a convoy, what do others think? Well I'm only 1 man.. but because I'm up north, not Tash style north.. but still north, I am willing/can drive to either side of Melb. Troy if you need someone to show you where to go, I'm pretty familiar with the eastern suburbs so it wont me hard to meet you anywhere you want. As for Tash, Probably best if you can just check in google maps how to get there. You travel down the Calder Freeway for about 1hr 30min, then turn right into Sunshine Ave. Follow Sunshine Ave and it'll turn into McIntyre Rd after you pass the Western Ring Rd. Keep going down that rd till you reach Ballarat Rd. Turn left into the first st after Ballarat Rd, should be a massive carpark. We'll be there ;) Edit: Man.. I could be the ultimate undercover cop. Not against any of you guys, you're all awesome :P Nah mate, no need for you to come all the way over here, I know exactly where Sunshine Vicroads is - I used to live within walking distance of it, and also used to work at Sunshine Centrecom (Computer store). But I really appreciate the offer. I was just thinking if anyone was going to meet northside it's not THAT far out of my way, and it'd be a bit less daunting for me, seeing as I don't know any of you yet.

  15. Yes. Without a doubt. Food is Awesome. AND HEY. Will we be seeing you this weekend? Most likely. I would have been there for the last one, but didn't make it because I had a date that night. Kicker is that she didn't show, and instead sent me a txt message saying sorry she couldn't make it, by that time it was too late to get over to where you guys were.<_<
  16. Holy crap. You can turn numbers off now too?! I'm so behind in technology... fark ur sig trips me out man... It's almost as awesome as a rolla isn't it? nah lift trips me out 10 times more times that by 2 with saturday night hamburgers :P LOL. It always comes back to the food. :D With good reason... Food is AWESOME!
  17. what does a/c power mean? Alternating Current - the sort of power that comes out of the power point mate. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alternating_current The battery power is sometimes referred to as D/C (Direct Current): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_current
  18. Sorry mate, I can't see any pictures :(
  19. How old is the laptop, how much use does it get and when it's being used is it usually used plugged into the power or on battery power? the laptop is 4 years old.. i use it almost everyday.. i use the battery power and once the battery runs out i charge it and when its full i still use it on the battery charger and when im done i turn the charger off and next time i use the laptop i run it on battery power and repeat the cycle(re charging when the battery is low and etc) Sounds like the battery is pretty much dead then to me. If it's unplugged and run off the battery until it's say 10% flat, then plugged in again, does it then charge back to 35% then stop again? yes it does charge to 35% then stops again Well given it's age, use and the fact that it charges to 35% still, I'd say you're up for either a new batter or a new laptop. All rechargable batteries lose capacity over time, and this effect is made worse if you use the device while it's plugged into mains power. 4 years being used most days is actally a pretty good effort I'd say!
