  1. Personal choice would be buy a good filter and leave the whole car stock for performance, only thing you gain from it is a headache from the noise xD The car already gets relatively cool air as the intake is mounted at the front of the car as is. Pop bonnet to see MY2CENTS B)
  2. Wow after reading about this now I want to get one too :)..i use an android phone so I should be able to use that software too..if not i could try Dashcommand as well..but i want to make sure I get the right OBD tool..can you guys confirm if this is the one that works with the Aurion?http://www.ebay.com....#ht_3890wt_1139Cheers :) i have that exact one from ebay... Find the connector near the bonnet release :) This one does stick out a fair way from the dash so no good to leave there permanently! Bluetooth may restrict the software you can use, the most common seems to be WiFi based (hence my question about softwares :D DJ - Can that dashcommand work with Bluetooth OBD readers ? or is it WiFi only ?
  3. Ok got my Bluetooth OBD2 Reader, it came with software that works fine, now i want software that does a little more (dashboards, Live reads ) that arnt restricted by demo version or purchasing. If not what is the best one to purchase at the price for what it has with it ? Otherwise I'm EXTREMELY impressed by what this simple little gadget can do ! Price: $23 AUD on Ebay. (Once again expecting Lord DJKOR to reply with his big brain of Toyota Wisdom )

  5. have yout tried putting it on hot, and turning onn the a/c as well ? Yeah, but saying that it doesn't go hot :s I set it to like 30 degrees it doesn't warm up even abit Wait till engine is hot ( run car for a few minutes before you leave home ) Whilst its warming up have the Heat set to hottest setting with it also set to the windscreen Press the button to turn AC on aswelll AC + Heat causes the fog to dissipate, If left long enough it will demist the entire car. Also press the rear Defog button and that will enable the rear defog lines to warm up and clear the rear window ( takes 5 minutes ) Get back to us and see how this goes !
  6. Yes all wired by myself (soldered and taped up tight with clips etc for quick release when more tampering is required) All helped from the TOCAU Forums, Its members && DJKOR <-- I could sex him and I'm straight !?! I would resize them but i am to lazy to try and do that <-- This fella hates Photoshop most days (I really need to find some automated software on the interwebz )
  7. police attention is hard to get in Perth when u drive a Aurion..... its all the West Coast Commodores and the Perth Falcons they target lol.... Aurion is a nanna's car... since when did a 20 year old hoon drive one :P!
  8. 1) IT WILL STAY STANDARD RIDE HEIGHT !!!!! I will not lower it at all, hate lowered cars because i sometimes think they are 4x4 vehicles and scraping is just a bitch in perth lol :P 2) I'm 100% sure they are powder coated (doesn't have the "painted" look at all.) and i asked for it to be done that way / was told that is was done that way @ a cost of $100.00 per rim from B.BOSS Company (all covered under warranty then :D) 3) Sound system is fine... puts out the right amount of bass to clarity for my taste in music. Yes its not the top end of the spectrum but for now it plays a CD and it don't skip I'm happy ! ( however i do lust for my iPod and BT connectivity !)
  9. Next is the sound system, the stock one is great and i have no complaints hence why its the last thing to be done (for now). But i need the funds to support my ideas...and well i aint got them now hahaha!

  11. in WA legality states you can go 3 rim sizes up from standard factory release.... My ATX comes with 16" so i can go maximum 19" again not sure if there is limit to width but 8 to 8.5 should be plenty without being to noticeable or cause you any issues with scrubbing! If a copper pulls you over first things they check is, Rego, Licence, Tyres, Windscreen (cracks), seat belts and do the RBT most of the time now too!
  12. Ok where do you obtain such quality in Perth lol as i dont trust EBAY (bad dealings in past with HID's) And my alignment should be ok ill have to get it checked later.
  13. someone here in perth has 22" rims and their mint but i wouldn't recommend it lol, unsure of width.. 19" on left 22" on Right (also see slight camber on rear no camber on front) 22" Rims from LHS View
  14. So had my 45000 other day too.... all 4 rotors need skimming All tires bald <- Not my Fault... Honest Drivers side window motor needs to be replaced <- warranty otherwise oil change, handbrake adjustment and she was all good to go
  15. Brand - Unknown just some cheap ***** from Motorquipe in Carosmell >_> Me using HID's about 2-3 years, first time using them with projector assembly tho.... I have a feeling i may need a different Kelvin maybe 4300 ? just hate using them in the wet as its really bad light on the road........ Break in time is normaly about 16-20 hours burn time (mine be around the 50 mark now as i drive day and night with lights on )
  16. Yea i wanted 5000k but the Cnut's at the shop refused to get them in so i had no option but to go for 6000k. long story short i got my HID's eventually but now very unimpressed with the quality of light. I want the white look of the globe but also a good performance (may need to bight the bullet and go even lower in the Scale as u say 4300 :\ . I might have to repurchase another set of HID's in the future when i get a new job that dosen't actually pay peanuts as currency :P Thanks for your input there Hamster
  17. Ok got the 35W 6000K HID kit installed in the low beam, i find during the night and especially during rainy periods they don't seem to be bright enough and don't produce enough light like i thought they would (compared to my 2000 Camry) What i want to know is what wattage are people running 35 or 55 watts for low beams... Is there any way to make them slightly brighter from what i have ? Thanks in advance
  18. actually the brochure says they do, i had a look and to me they are halogens :\ but a set of 5000K 55Watters would be nice :D
  19. Ive just been through the highs and lows of adding features to the 09 ATX..... BUY SPORTIVO and you wont have regrets.... long term you will save, where in WA are you as my mate works at toyota and i can ask him to get you a good deal (on new car sale) side note - Spoiler alone will set you back around $1300 for a genuine and its a F*ck around if the dealership dosen't know what there doing like they did when i bought mine 2 months ago...
  20. Thats what she said :P
  21. Yea but i needed the XP on doing the bumper removal lol.... plus i wasn't sure on the best location on fitting. + also was alot easyer having the room to be able to move - my hands aint exactly small !
  22. I'm extremely pleased with the end result. Really sets the ar55 end off nicely :P Next thing... hmmmm..... I've 90% complete the foot well lighting just some minor changes needed for rear section. Done new boot interior light with LED strips. Done Darkest legal Tint Done Towbar Custom Rims ? I need rims and im aiming to get the B.BOSS Eleanor's then get the powder coated Gloss black. Its looking to set me back around $2200 for 4 Mags + Tyres (Rim=$300+$100 for Powder Coat / $600 For 4 Tyres) Then a nice sound system which will be last as the stock one is sufficient for now :)
  23. The coppers in WA don't really give a sheet about HID's only when you go over the pits they care lol. & This is where my ballast's are located on top of the chassis under the black wiring harness. They are behind the headlight assembly and are high enough that they shouldn't get wet, they don't rattle as i bedded them on some double sided tape but even with out the tape the screws held it in place snug ! I'll re do some more photo's for high beam in the coming weeks and do a run through on those because at my last glance at the back of the headlight assembly i have to do a little more modding to the headlight assembly for the wiring to protrude out....:P
  24. That statement makes me LOL: It is completely hidden under the plastic that goes on top: :(could of posted that pic a couple weeks back :( but again mine are down low and work well there with a couple tec screws lol
