If the SA delivered brakes cause so much trouble, shouldn't that mean that they shoud be replacing it???..........and no its not normal for disc to be replaced after 50k km.....thats utter bs, maybe pads but definitely not the disc!!!

Keep annoying them.....and if all else fails get a good set yourself and call your local mech to put it in, much cheaper and better..............For some reason I don't really trust dealer mechs, but thats cause my local mech is damn good

Corolla is the 2nd most sold car of 2006......Commodore is first as usual.

When I mentioned the word 'design' I ment the car overall not just the external appearance.............To be honest, I like the corolla over any of the other cars that are competing in that segment, but thats cause my family are a bunch of loyal Toyota customers lol.

No offense I love my corolla but...........isn't the design a bit dated guys.....it was released in 2002.......although the corolla is the best selling small/medium car going around, all the reviews that I have read lately says that it is nowhere near with competing the current lineup of cars offerred by other manufacturers.

Time for the new corolla to come out and kick *****!!

Also.....dunno if you guys will be disappointed or not but the next most likely contender for the TRD range will be the Yaris

A drop in filter will prolly give you more performance (which in this case would be like 1kw.......at the flywheel)

each to their own whether your using a SRI setup or CAI setup....SRI has superior throttle response, but for everyday driving most people will be happy with the CAI cause they can then have more power....Also with a SRI I don't think mine was designed properly, the length and ID of the intake pipe makes a difference to power production if most people don't know.

Our UK brothers/sisters on TOC swear by the K&N Typhoon SRI kit....

But this topic of SRI Vs CAI is boring.....

My stock setup performed better then the SRI. I have already ordered a CES CAI, waiting for payment details. Hopefully I'll get it by the beginning of next week..........which is not good with double demerits weekend coming up next week

My CRV has side air bags on the seat itself, it clearly on the side says SRS airbag on the airbag cover. But then again, my seats are leather....

I believe the CAI is louder then the SRI....but then again my experience was with a CAI fitted to my Conquest.....whereas my SRI was fitted to my Sportivo until you hit lift

Extractor Removal UPDATE:

Waving the white flag at the moment. Stupid bolts won't come off..........I wished I had an air compressor and impact wrench!!

Could run a basic greddy celica kit........I've looked into it.......but still alot of mucking around....there is one that is currently in progress at 9thgen. New radiator too...forgot whatelse

The bloody radiator..........we have less room to work with then the celica owners....but then again their engine is closer to the firewall I think. I just removed my manifold heat shield, plenty of room...whereas the celica owners have to remove the cam cover to make life much easier. Then we have the problem of the ABS unit...if there was some room we could prolly mount it inline across from the alternator....hmmmm

Master cylinder brace?? Can't you just get a generic one bolted up to the chasis to brace it??

BTW JJCRU23R did you sound deaden your door trims??

Lets put it this way....if you had say $600 to spend on your front speakers.

Spend say $200 on sound deadening and installation and $400 on your speakers.....and they will out perform a pair of say $600 splits by themselves....Its a huge difference.

From my point of view and most experienced people (I'm in no way experienced BTW) I would upgrade in the following order.

Front Splits

Sound Deadening

HU

SUB + AMP

AMP (For Splits)

If you wanted it to be loud

SUB + AMP

Thats it...lol

If your really Hardcore then you could also get custom or DIY made angled pods for superior imaging!!

With removing door trims and console I believe there is already a write up on how to remove it....its really easy

Cool then, thats all I needed to know. Dunno why on the celica site the DIY guide said to unplug it from the inside....guess a trip to bunnings for some tools and I'm ready to rock!!
