it is supposed to be checked at rego but Ive never been tested or know anyone who has, I know of people who have been knocked back for blue slip though. Depends how fussy and a **** the inspection station wants to be. Not sure how they test it if your pulled over, Think it just visual,you would probably have more noticeable mods anyway they would pick on first. They would defect you and you have to get the defect passed, but if you know the person who does your pickslips they might just pass it anyway

I have a mates mate who does all my window tinting for me. I have 20% on both of my cars, It is illegal but looks sick. One car is white and one car is silver. He is mobile in Sydney. I dont drive like a nutbag so ive never been hassled. He will do any tint you want. If you have more than 1 car to do you will might get a better price.

had the same problem when I bought my 95 SX. Without any working remotes, you have to replace the module which comes with remotes. Its cheaper to get a aftermarket alarm system which is what I did not sure if cruise control was a factory option, If its looks bodgy its a aftermarket system you probably wont find a decent parcel tray without speaker holes in it

the guard indicators came and they fit sweet, I contacted the place where I bought them to ask them about the bar lenses, they said they dont carry them and there supplier doesnt either. I know they exist cause I see them all the time, I dont if I should take a chance and get some 184 ones hope they fit

hi fellow celica owners I have a 95 ST204 celica, I want to fit some clear indicators lenses to the front bar, I recently bought some used lenses off Ebay, They stated they were off a 97 model, but of course they dont fit, All I can find is 91-94 ST 184. Would anyone know if ST184 will fit ST204 or where I could find some, Hopefully my guard indicators fit when they arrive Thanks

thats true, that happened to corolla I was doing some work on once, the fluid got low, I topped it up and the light was still on. Gave it a shake and it was all good

check the level of brake fluid in the reservior. They share the same warning light.if the level is low, the light will stay on

It slight hail damage, nothing that isnt repairable, The biggest dent is shown in the pics attached, It great for a spare or a replacement for a excessively damaged one. looking for about $100 for it, or make me a offer. sounds like a dizzy problem, In the mrs ST184 and ST204 I have had problems with the dizzy,coil. The coil is in the dizzy on these models. With mine they both stalled and did not restart, first time coil, 2nd time it shorted out in the dizzy and blew the main fuse, 3rd time it was the coil again. no engine light on though,When it doesnt start check if it has spark, if no spark, I would lean towards a dizzy. You can change the coil itself, about $180,thats what I put in the 184, when it shat itself in the 204, I just got a 2nd hand dizzy from the wreckers, that was $50. The 3rd time I made 1 good dizzy out of 2. still running good

Hi guys and girls Its time to put the celica in for the panel work as the mrs tends to bump into things, I need the replace the guard indicators, want to upgrade the to the clear lenses, Been looking on ebay for some,used to be some on there for the ST204 but not at the moment,only ST184, could you guys steer me in the right direction to finding some. which hose did you replace? is it engine oil or transmission oil its leaking. It sounds like transmission oil, if it leaking from the transmission pretty bad that will be why its not selecting gears, transmission oil does more than lubricate, it uses the oil under pressure to activate the clutches/bands in the transmission to select gears, if no oil, theres no gears

starter motor?, they said the car stalled, when cranking the engine, does the crankshaft pulley rotate? if the crank pulley rotates and the cam gear doesnt , your timing belt has crapped its self. the teeth have probably sheared off the belt Has the car every had it changed, they should be changed every 90-100,000kms

what do you mean the cam doesnt turn? With the distributor cap off and you crank the engine over does the rotor button rotate?

you want to change from EFI to carby???? The wiring harness will be completely different, carby is basic wiring harness which really includes coolant temp, oil pressure, ignition, starter and various other things,and being a Toyota, plenty of vaccum hoses. EFI has alot more sensors, fuel pump is different, wiring for tacho and guages usually come from the ECU, There would be a fair bit of stuffing around,plus your playing around with emmisions of the car too.

you know why those welds are s%#T, they have welded a stainless pipe to a mild steel flange with a MIG welder by the look of it (you can see the MIG wire in the weld) For a nice clean weld they should used a TIG welder. Im only a novice welder but I can weld better than that

the welds will be only as good as the metal your welding, do you have mild steel or stainless? If your car is lowered you will have ask your exhaust shop to tuck it up as high as possible. downside to this it could be more prone to rattling on the body and increased heat through the floor

if its blowing smoke thats not a good sign. Does it use water, ie do you have to keep topping up the level? If you remove the radiator cap when the car is cold is their any pressure evident? when you remove the cap can you smell petrol/ oil in the coolant? If you have these signs its likely you have a blown headgasket or cracked head. If so its time to do a compression test.

I think they are a limited edition of 1500. We had our first 1 come into work the other week and it was already sold. With the pumped guards they look orsome. Hopefully they dont suffer the camshaft/ fuel pump concerns of the 135/335

23,000 is way too much between services mate. personally I change oil and filter every 5,000 or 6 months on my car,this has been done since new. my engine has done over 250,000kms and doesnt burn oil or blow smoke.For $4000 I would suspect they will desludge the engine, remove the head and put new valve seals in it. Where I work I see sludgey engines all the time, even with low KMs. The way I see it, oil is cheap, engines are not

honestly mate with if theres sand and paint in engine, if your insured, It will probably be written off. no one knows if the engine been started with sand in it, if it has, will require rebuild or replacement,

check your rear sway bar D link bushes, had the same noise in my ST184 and my ST204. Sounds like a shock. Grab the sway bar and see if there is any movement.If is moves up and down or slides sideways its had it.
