  6. The only Australian Corolla's that came with 2ZZ-GE engine are the Corolla Sportivo's This link may be helpful to you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_ZZ_engine grima88 to the rescue again your champ thanks again now i know what ive got where do you get all this info? No probs man... it all comes down to boredom and therefore just searching the net for random stuff
  7. im on the gold coast. good one day crappy the next.. lol nah its not that bad we dont seem to have many rollers up here that are done up. its a fresh scence for them. hence why i got one. somthing different. 10. Hey... handling's much better but then anything's better than how it was stock. comfort... its firmer and nicer on the road its not so soft, abit harder ride = nicer ride. over all its a good combo for a car that is a daily driver. low enough and handles great. Cheers C-rolla Thanks mate ;) :)
  11. Hmm is that an inside joke there?
  12. Hav u got a 20V 4A-GE in that rolla? If so is it Silver or Black Top?
  13. Yea thats wat I meant (double DIN splitter), thanks champ ;) :)
  14. Is that JB Hi Fi you meant, also can u please post a picture of u splitter, thankyou :)
  15. Hey daniel 2inspire nice and tidy ride, I like... So what city are you from?
  16. That can be dangerous tho if u go thru water (and it sucks it up), so make sure if u get heavy rain that u disconnect the duct goin down to near the bottom of the bumper otherwise u may find urself in a lil bit of trouble. If I could b bothered I was goin to (with the help of my cousin who's a plumber) to make up an intake pipe with a screw on bypass pipe which will sit high up in the engine if it rains (so I just unscrew the lid and screw on a pipe wen I hav to if u know what I mean).
  17. 1zz-fe - The one refers to it being the 1st generation of the ZZ series engines, fe is Toyota speak for economy tune. 2zz-ge - The 2 refers to it being the 2nd generation of the ZZ series engines, ge is Toyota speak for performance tune. FE = Economy GE = Performance GZE = Performance Supercharged GTE = Performance Turbo Charged. ZZE121, ZZE122, ZZE123 denote what model it is, ZZE122 is the hatch in 1zz-fe engine form, ZZE123 is the hatch in 2zz-fe form. so should your car say if its the first or second gen (1zz/2zz)? if not how do you know wich one it is? bought mine second hand so i dont know. 18. Big O Tyres (its in Moorebank near Liverpool) they r pretty much the cheapest place u can get springs installed around here. I'll try n set up a group buy for these maybe early next yr cos there are a couple of us now that want to get springs. O btw I added u on MSN, so if u get a lil thingy saying this person has added u blah blah blah its probably me.
  19. Nice man I really like it... How do u find the King Springs with stock shocks (handling and comfort wise)???
  20. Nah man I'll only go King Lows (35mm drop), becos I still want a decent ride as well as the ability to negotiate steep driveways and approach speedhumps without coming to a near standstill. But each to their own and thanks for ur advice anyway :) Hey grima88.. have you lowered your car yet ? I am going to lower my car at the start of the year when I come back from holidays.. I'll PM you later on maybe if we do it at the same time we'll get a discount ;) :)
  21. this sounds really offensive please read my previous post. i said i would rather go for handling mods over engine mods. i suggested tom's ECU and the rev to 11000rpm thingy because grima88 mainly concerned about power at the moment. i know it sounds very extreme but isn't that you guys after? not sure if you guys like this one this is even better than normal CAI i'm just suggesting possibilities. are we not discussing about potential and stuffs? now grima88, i would really suggest an AE111 firstly because i'm biased. and secondly they look heaps better :) I'm not buying one anytime soon its more of a longer trm aim to get one n do it up :) :D (finding one in Australia or to import will be the hardest part ) O btw there are no filters on that setup with the intake is there (great for the track but highly illegal on the street) Thanks guys for all ur discussion I'm actually learning a fair bit about this car from u guys.
  22. Found this awesome website where u can compare all the models of Sprinter Trueno's AE91-AE111: http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/toyota/sprinter_trueno/ Apparently there are several more versions of the AE111 than we thought (these are in order from bottom of the line to top): *FZ (Manual + 4-speed Auto) *XZ (Manual + ECT-S) *BZ-G (Manual + ECT-S) *BZ-V (ECT-S only) *BZ-R (Manual only) Note 1: ECT-S = Electronic control type 4 speed automatic (sport) Note 2: Some of the Manual's are 5-speed and some are 6-speed Note 3: There are three engine's used: 5A-FE (1.5L), 4A-FE (1.6L) and 4A-GE (1.6L) Note 4: If you want a detailed comparison use the website I have provided (as there is a compare function)
