  1. Yea I liked the Black-top as I wouldn't want to modify it (only intake and exhaust stuff e.g. CAI, headers, high flow cat, 2.25 exhaust etc.). Whereas the Silver-top has a lil less power out of the factory but lots more modification potential (not really for me)
  2. Geez Japan would be a mad country to live in... Cheap cars, interest rates at 0.25% (and were at 0% a few months ago)
  3. Now that would b some serious fun throwin that cardboard box with a 3S-GTE around
  4. Are manufactuers obliged to have the exhaust system (e.g. manifold, cat, resonator, mufflers n piping) fitted when they give it a rating at the flywheel or are the gases aloud to freely flow out of the chambers into the air???
  5. Not cheap and I was lookin at AE111 (after I've worked a couple of yrs n saved up)
  6. Man I'm lovin these Trueno's/Levin's (especially the ones with black headlights and tail lights), are they extremely hard to find in Aus. (it would probably be easier impoirting one from Japan hey)?
  7. Hey ppl instead of starting a new topic I thought I would slot it in here... I'm really loving the JDM AE111 Levin/Trueno's at the moment, but am just wondering is there a difference between the AE111 Levin, Trueno and Sprinter, are they just different names in different markets (e.g. Corolla in Australia and RunX in Japan), or is it like the name together (e.g. Trueno Levin or Sprinter Trueno like Corolla Seca here in Aus). I hope that sought of made sense, cos I'm tryin to find out a bit more about this car cos its really HOT!!! ...

  11. i had just fitted black tail lights to my 03 stivo yesterday (from ebay $237 including post) plug didn't fit but im no sparky and i was able to rewire them. the aftermarket have 4 lights and standard only have 3 so trail and error cam into play, final verdict is they look great and worth the stuffing around. If anyone wants a photo of the wires that are hooked up (colour to colour) let me know. yes please can you please post up some pics of your tails light re-wired and everything...if you dont mind... cheerz ive tried to put up pics in other topics and it hasn't worked, dont no what im doing wrong but i'll try again, in case it doesn't you can pm your email address to me and i can send them via that, but i'll let you know what goes with what anyway(this is for the alteza tail lights from e-bay to an 03).... new wires to old connection wires... red to green/white stripe.....yellow to green/yellow stripe.....blue & green wires both join to green/no stripe.....all three blacks to black & white striped wire..... white to red/blue stripe wire.... and thats it your set. its not hard just time consuming. I hope this helps you and anyone else, good luck. ps.... final result looks great. This should help you out buddy: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...st&p=113293

There were only two tyres that met the 88 load rating when I tried searching for 205/50R16 and they were Yokohama A-Drive's and Falken Ziex ZE-512 (I think they were the two, search it on the net n find out). And they were fairly pricey (hence I stuck to 15 inch :( )
  15. Hey dude awesome ride, good on ya :) Quick question tho, is that the shark fin antenna off american ebay (if not where did u get it)? Does it have good reception?
  16. I'm trying to swap my set for a set of facelift stockies. So Blue_Steel (I think ur name's Jason isn't it?) if u can find a set of facelift stock tail lights (e.g. buy them from a wreckers) I'll swap u for my set :) . See here: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...ic=8640&hl=
  17. Nah man I'll only go King Lows (35mm drop), becos I still want a decent ride as well as the ability to negotiate steep driveways and approach speedhumps without coming to a near standstill. But each to their own and thanks for ur advice anyway :)
  18. Hey Big Pete photoshop off the guy's number plates (blur it or paint over it or sumfin), cos it's sort of a privacy issue (never know the guy may get offended or sumfin)
  19. I'm no expert, but possibly give it an ECU reset (search it, it's covered here somewhere). As these problems may be relating to how the previous owner drove the car (and hence how the ECU adapted). I hope I've helped :)
  20. Ahh gotta love good old slapstick comedy
  21. Our Corolla's only need front wheel alignment (rear is not camber adjustable) so tell them that becos they hav quoted u for a 4 wheel alignment instead of 2
