Actually the last melting was the day I took the avatar shot.... just off of Gorge Road, thought the twisty road sign was a good touch... :P

Can't work out how to post pics... could someone please PM me how.... But anyway, they first cut a small part of the lip off and attatched an extention to the standard tip to divert the hot air down rather then direcly onto the skirt (hence the melting) but the extention was still touching the skirt (slightly) so monitored it for a while and was OK until I did a big drive through the Adelaide Hills (gorge road, corkscrew road, lobethal road and norton summit road, the guys in SA will know where....) and noticed on one of my photo stops that the skirt was melting again.... So wen't back and got them to cut a little more (to about 5mm on the vertical) and no problems since!!!! :D You'll get the idea when I post the pics (both the skirt and exhaust).... but nothing to cover the cut, just cut and smoothed out with sanding. My guys at Cornes Toyota in Adelaide use Adelaide Special Vehicles for all skirts and wings and they have a good rep! Looking for service as good as them over here in Wollongong.... Best of all it was all under warranty, because they did the mods, so free!!!! :D

Cheers Zee... I live just around the corner from the Hospital, doing a PhD at the uni. I'll keep a look out for the yellow plates, should be easy to spot on black (are they personalised or standard?), I've got the white sport style ones because they were the most similar to the ones in SA and look better then the standard yellow, tempted by the Pommy style ones too but thought better of it!!!! Be great to catch you guys on the road and head for a cruise some time. Catch ya

Would make a good comprimise for a CAI inlet and spotties, rather then taking the spotties out to allow the cold air in.....

Hey guys, I've made a few posts already but thouht I'd start a new string as an intro... Moved over to the Wollongong area driving a Blue Sportivo (Stock) with sportivo grille and bumber skirt (cut with exhaust extention to aliviate a bumper melting issue, now solved on the third attempt!!!!). But if you see me cruising the streets or along the highway to Sydney, Picton Rd, Hume hwy to Canberra, Maquarie Pass, Kangaroo Valley Rd.... well anything with some good twists in it.... :) give us a big cheezy grin and a wave!!!!! Yeah, I've also heard that in Japan they have a remap for the computer (celica) that allows you to rev out to 12,000 but again don't know about the longevity of the engine out there, and what other mods where done. Those crazy Japanese....

Hey guys new to the forum. I was from Adelaide, Southern Suburbs though, close to Marion Shopping Centre, but had to move over to Wollongong to take up a PhD. But ofter back there during holidays, mines a blue stock Sportivo with rear skirt and sportivo grille and tint, hope to see you over christmas when I'm next back there with the baby, will have NSW plates on it too so will be more noticeable! Did notice a grey one similar to mine (but no rear skirt) before I left, around western suburbs (Mile End area near Bunnings). There are a few I've seen there, but notice much more over here....

Damn missed it, only found the Forum today, bugga... Lemmi know when the next one is and I'll be there for sure, love to see what you guys are running, mines stock as and looking for inspiration!!!!!

Just got mine done by and was just over $200. They also give you the option of doing P/S and A/C service (I think that was what they were) for about $75 each (procautionary services that I opted against due to lack of fundage)

the 'gong' as in Wollongong, 80kms south of Sydney straight down the coast, a good 1400kms from Adelaide, quite a move I know but moved over for a PhD after getting sick of being stuck in a job where I wasn't gonna move any higher!!!

Hey guys, new to the club... My Sportivo is now just over 12 months old and I had a similar thing with my coolant at the 10000 service, was just a split seal on the cap which was promptly replaced. Recently moved to the Gong from Adelaide and got the 12 mth (20K) service done at Wollongong Toyota, and they seemed OK, the new showroom and service area are good, but the service standard was not quite up to what I was used to back in Adelaide (Cornes Toyota, if you are ever in the are, say hi for me, they know me well!!! Best Toyota dealer in SA). So Zee maybe you could try there if you don't want the 1 hour drive!!!!
