  1. been running them at max camber adjustment for about 2 months now, no issues whatsoever, eibach is a trusty well known brand. their quality is high in most of thier products. theyre made as multi compaitble bolts for alot of cars, for example my cousin bought the same exact set for his 91 gti rolla.
  2. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/5-81270K-EIBACH-Front-Camber-Bolts-Toyota-Corolla-03-08-/160838187591?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2572b3fa47 heres an example for you.
  3. dont go whiteline in the link provided, they're more expensive than everything else, they're more than likely just reboxed eibach's. i just bought some genuine eibach's off ebay for $40 posted. 1.75 degree max adjustability.
  4. i'd say it's abit silly if toyota designed thier motor and gearbox to sit at roughly 4k at 120kph if there was any risk of internal damage with extended periods of use at those rpm's. toyota are alot smarter then that.
  5. im currently looking into this topic, have emailed a guy i bought my bc coilovers for my old s14, i got them $200+ cheaper than anywhere else delivered to my door. i think the k-sport kontrol pro series are around 900-1100 delivered through my guy. have to wait for confirmation though. will report back here with what he has on offer for our cars.
  6. pretty sure i can get them for a couple hundred less then that. just jap is usually a rip off. i really wanna know if the 03-07 matrix and 03-07 corolla coilovers fit. all ive read is you have to drill out the holes on the perch for the camber bolts. but that's all i've read, surely being on the same platform everything else is alright?
  7. im keen on seeing a few options too, maybe some confirmation if the american variant matrix coilovers fit?
  8. Agreed, I would say reset the ECU then drive it hard. I got a custom exhaust (not CES) and an injen CAI, didn't feel like there were much gains at all till i managed to pull away from my mates stock sportivo in 2nd gear *correction* didn't feel like there were any gains at all, but my car did come with a unichip ECU. don't know how it was tuned or anything and not planning to spend money on finding out :) yeah after i tune it...that'll be all i'm spending on it.. ever... lol. Or the gf will definately go ballistic.. mmm well that makes alot of sense then. The noise is really bad when going up a hill or slight hill... it's so boomy and droney it makes my ears ache. Also torque down low feels as though it has dropped off a little bit after the mods, did you get this too? Feels like it was replaced with noise power lol. mines the same with noise although doesn't make my ears ache, i'm not used to loud farty n/a car's since my previous 2 cars before the stivo were turbo, each having a nice throaty burble rather than fartyness. so to me it may not be as bad as i make it to be. if you can take a video of your car driving away at normal accel and full accel, it will give us a better idea as to what needs to be done to your exhaust to fix it. i will be doing one on mine soon when i stop being lazy and charge my camera :P my stivo basically stayed the same from what i can tell in the torque and power department. but my race with my brother proves otherwise. just isnt enough of a gain to really notice.
  9. they say anything less than a 10% gain in power @ the wheels over stock figures you won't notice, 6-9kw is less than 10% of our power outputs. i installed a simota CAI and varex muffler on mine, didn't notice any torque or power differences, not even on the butt dyno. but lining up against my brother in his mk3 swift GTI turbo when i was stock was an even race all through 2nd and 3rd. now with simota and varex i slightly pull on him in 3rd. definite increase in power and pull but to the average joe it isn't that noticable. my varex by itself on stock diameter piping has as nice tone but also has a nice fartyness to it from 3k -4k rpm. considering getting a resonator put in to help combat this. it's also incredibly loud for just a muffler only.
  10. should do, i don't think there is any difference between pre facelift and facelift. will let you guys know what postage costs turn out to be. still waiting on a reply.
  11. indeed it is confirmed. currently awaiting postage costs on it from a site other than the one you suggested. but i will ask a quote from them too. as for the strut brace, i have already lined up a used cusco strut brace that i should be picking up tomorrow i think. still gotta confirm it with the guy. kinda realised that a cheapie wouldn't be the best choice since i'm primarily doing it to stiffen my ride up abit, i am running +15 offset wheels and need as little body roll/flex as possible.
  12. hi guy's, new to the forums. i have been doing quite abit of searching and research on what is available to us in swaybars and strut braces, up until now i have found just about nothing, since most have been discontinued or are too heavy/large to post internationally and incure a postage fee double to triple the parts cost itself. i have taken whiteline out of the mix as they are just too expensive, i know that they are quality and well trusted and have dealt with thier products before. but i am willing to take on other lesser known companies. this is what i have found in my searches. the PROGRESS rear sway bar, 24mm diameter, solid type. designed and made for the toyota matrix in the US, still awaiting confirmation that this will fit our aus spec sportivo's and postage cost's aren't going to kill my wallet. although if anyone has a TRD, CUSCO or C-one rear sway bar they wan't to get rid of i'm more than willing to take that off your hands for the right price! http://www.vividraci...08-p-74719.html there is an assortment of strut braces for the us variant corolla XRS and matrix, one of which i'm particularly interested in because of it's design, they seem to have moulded it to sit corectly in place on the strut tower, where as whiteline and other variants simply have a flat surface only. i'm pretty sure after researching picture's that all dimension's are equal between the XRS, matrix, runX and sportivo. heres a photo of my strut tower. http://imageshack.us...0603093053.jpg/ and here's the strut brace. see current listing here: http://www.ebay.com....984.m1423.l2649 mould's perfectly, and the price is well within my budget opposed to whiteline's rediculous $215 not including postage! i know what your going to say, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. but let's face it, it's a strut brace, not a moving mechanical part that can potentially be a safety issue if it does happen to break or bend. if it does, then my $70 or so is well worth the knowledge for all of us + others to never deal with cheap crap again. im willing to take the plunge. can anyone here confirm that both part's are a guaranteed fit for our variant? anyone with previous experiences? any help on the matter will be greatly appreciated. thanks! ps: how do i post photo's without making them attatchments? says cannot use that particular image format in this community when i direct link them?
  13. see my post on page 3. im lowered on king super lows with 16x9 +15 and it scrubs heavily with rolled an flared guards IF you carry more than 1 extra passenger. if you drive by yourself only all the time then i'd say +15 is about the lowest you could go comfortably
  14. here it is! second pic is them running straight of the bat, no guard rolling or flaring done. had major scrub and gouges happening on the rear left tyre during normal driving. first pic is with both rolling and about half an inch of flaring (done DIY or rear arches only :D) on king super lows with no to minimal scrub during normal or spirited driving. :D so yes low offset IS possible IF rolling and flaring is done, with king spring superlows. will get much better pics soon when i have acces to a better camera.
  15. i have been following this thread with eagle eyes, waiting for pics to pop of of peoples setups. i am going to go test fit some staggered offset esm 008's with 16x7.5 +20 fronts and 16x9 +15 rears tomorrow arvo, still unsure if it will be a wise choice to buy them with just king superlows installed. will take a shot or 2 just for this thread though for refference.
