Ok so I agree with you on the first point, and I know you don't know me or my work but I'm the kind of person if there is something wrong and I have already put the who,e car back together and I need to take it apart to adjust something by .5 of a mm then I will, so I will make sure it's hidden and not easily accessed.
The other thing is making sure it can't be bypassed. If I make my own then nobody but me will know how it works, and being hidden they won't be able to get to it either.
The problem here is I need ideas that people aren't going to know how to get passed, or make it so difficult they don't bother.
Yeah I park far away as possible, it's less chNce of damage and quicker then driving around the car park for an hour trying to find a spot.
As for leaving the keys in an obvious spot, they pretty much live in my pocket or under my pillow.
Haha having said that I did loose my keys once, for hours I looked, then my partner said, "they wouldn't be in the car would they?"
"No because it's locked and I dont have my spares so if they are we are in trouble"
Where were they you ask???
...in the ignition, windows down car unlocked...
The only time I e done it and I felt like such an idiot lol.
But back to now, I want it so even if they have the keys they can't go anywhere unless they know what to do.
Kill switches are to obvious.
I need something they wouldn't even think of.
I heard a good saying, hide it In plain sight and it won't be found...
I need the same logic.

Ok so it's a bit complex to hook it up to the factory settings if you don't k ow what you're doing.
So.. I would just suggest getting a driving light wiring harness and just going with that.
It's not factory but it will work.
With out being there, being in the wrong head space or having an atx I can't do much.
Sorry mate, was hoping we could solve this.

Hi all,
I have read a bit about Aurions being targeted so I have come to see what people have done in the lines of making it harder to steal.
I know you can just put it on a tow truck and take it away but I also now Viper do an alarm system that compliments the stock one by adding a few sensors so if it's tilted the alarm goes off.
I know you can probably get around this so I thought we could add on to this again.
I was thinking along the lines of secondary starter switch.
Open to suggestions.
Have read about a flash drive being used as a key...

Hey mate, sorry I have been looking and don't think I can do much more without being there.
Sorry mate 😕

Hi all, I'm wanting to change the colour of my instrument cluster.
The stock is nice I just want it a bit more blue.
I think they are LED but I don't know how to get them out.
Any ideas?

$72 from Toyota
$110 from the wreckers I asked and its used
Cover is about $60 from memory.

sorry I'm not understanding which are what?
Are the HID H1R1?
Just a note, so you all know, you can legally fit HID as long as the headlights have a washing system and will self level.

I did have a sub and amp in my car but took it out due to it was killing my battery.
I want to upgrade my speakers, think Kenwood or pioneer 6-9.
I like my stock HU looks nice sounds good enough for me

Ok fair call,
The reason for the 8080 is you can use two and you can't see anything but the remote.
And when I said get on I ment replace what you have with them.
Two in one, saves space.
I don't know if it's analog or digital though.
Would have to visit there website
-
Ok so what you need to do is go get the Uniden UH8080NB, small unit that hides under the dash, just have the mic come out.
Have multiple if you like
Has all UHF functions and is a scanner also.
Do you use analog or digital scanners?
-
I was hoping this would be about making the cluster light a bit more blue.
Any ideas?

Oh and 3 clicks roughly when it's had a service but after 12 months it's about a foot
-
Mine gets adjusted when ever it has a service, if who ever is servicing you car isn't doing it then they aren't doing a proper service.

Hello all,
I have read somewhere in here about a sticker that was made up, something along the lines of:
TOCA
www.toyotaownersclubaustralia.com.au
I was wonder if anyone had these to buy or if TOCA sell them?
Or if someone gets some made up and distribute them?
I know this is a bit off topic so my apologies if I wasn't supposed to stay this thread, I just couldn't find them anywhere.
-
Ok, so ford had the same issue with there reds/maroons.
I guess Toyota are having this issue with the Black.
-
Oh and they will sometimes trade your battery in and fit it for free.
-
Get the battery tested.
I had a similar issue with my Prodigy, turned out the battery was on its last legs, was at about 150k too.
I prefer Battery world in Beenleigh, the guys there look after you.
Once it was change started instantly.

Haha I had my car serviced the other day, they didn't notice my park light was out, so I took it back so they could change it.
It was in for about 15 minutes, then the tech came out and told me "we have to pull the headlight unit out change it, put it back in and realign it."
I said well that's interesting because I have changed them before with out removing it. I took the inner guard off, reached up and took it out and put LEDs in, then when the LED died I changed it back.
They looked at me, oh well we will have to have another look.
Haha they soon changed it lol

MrMeToo: that sounds great, can't wait to see your pics and updates.
Kanmuri: what do you mean by its marking?
Do you have shade too or is it still the plastic?
Could you upload a pic showing the problem?
Thanks

Hey mate, sorry I'm in the process of moving so I haven't had a chance to do much.
I think it it may need to go into the inside fuse box.
Had a look at mine and I couldn't find what I needed so I think it's inside, I'll have to pull my car apart and get back to you.
-
I have only got what's above, but happy to help if you need it.
It's not to hard, if you can get your door cards off without breaking them you will be fine.
The hardest part I found was getting the fabric on without sticking itself together.
Once you get the hang of it it's easy.
What are you planing for yours?

Toothpaste and toothbrush

Ok so I'm still unsure if you have found out if you have the spot connected for the relay?
Please don't think I'm rude, I'm not trying to be, but going on what I can read here, you are not the best when it come to the electrical side. (This is fine not everybody is)
But this is going to make it difficult for us.
So I need to know if you have the connectors for the fog lamp relay in the fuse box under the bonnet be fore we go any further.
When you open the fuse box, there will be a diagram on the inside of the lid, if you can find the spot for the relay then have a look in the little slots for that relay spot, if it looks like there is metal connectors in there it's a good thing. If not we can get around it.
