  1. Yes you may, I have to switch to my iPad for that I'll get back to you in regards to that.

I understand you want to hook it up to a switch in the dash.

I'll explain it a bit better, sorry I've been a bit all over the place lately.

Ok so if we use the factory wiring all we have to do is connect your switch to the factory wiring and put in a relay and it will work legally because there is already stuff there so all we have to do is tap into the control wiring and illumination wiring and it's done.

If the factory wiring is not there, we have to run cables into the the cabin, get control power and load power as well as the illumination and connect them all up so it works legally.

    Does this make sense?

  2. Hmm,

How comfortable are you with taking your trim panels off?

Reason I ask, if you take off your trim panels around the drivers seat and drive it you may be able to find where it's coming from.

If it an electronic buzzer then you will find it, then we can figure out what that buzzer is for.

If it's not an electric buzzer then we are on step closer to figuring out what it is.

    Does this make sense?

  3. This sounds like fun....

I have taken the carpet up and there is not much there, a wiring loom, ac vent for the rear passengers feet, some insulting material and I think there may be a couple of clips to hold down the carpet.

On the drivers seat there are multiple plastic items... Even clips to hold your fabric/leather on to the seat frame.

There are holes in the carpet for the ac vents and wiring loom, maybe something has fallen in?

The best way to find out is up someone in there with a light and get them to have a look while driving around.

Just don't get caught by the cops.

Another thing, check under the car, I know you might think I'm stupid but still do it, there may be something stuck that bangs in the wind.

I'm interested to see how you get on.

  4. Im sorry but this doesn't sound right. I don't own a 50 series but I still don't think its the ABS. It sounds odd that'd it would make a buzz. Mine does the clunk which you get use to and I actually like, it's nice to hear the car do something, because if you don't hea it you know there is an issue.

I'm Going to try and see if I can get my hands on the 50 series .

On a side note, the company I use to work for had multiple 50 series camrys and none of them made this sound. And what makes it even more odd is that you have to wait 20k or two years before it starts doing it, which means something is wearing away or its not doing its job.

Sorry guys but I think Toyota is just saying this so they do t have to deal with it.

I have worked at a dealership before and they tell you bs all the time so you go away.

  5. Ok so I'm currently looking at the wiring diagram for the Camry/Aurion.

The factory set up has a relay in the fuse box under the bonnet. Does yours have connections in the spot where the fog relay would live? You can tell because there will be metal connectors in the holes/sockets.

If you can't find the spot turn the lid upside down and it should show you.

If not then it has to be done a bit differently.

If it does we can just tap into a couple of cables/wires under the dash and maybe put in a fuse if it doesn't have one.

  6. Hey mate, sorry but I have to disagree. It has been proven that there is a problem with the Aurion, Toyota in some cases will actually fix it for you, the only down side is you have to get them to do a wheel alignment fist which will set you back about $66, but if this doesn't fix it they will supply and fit a Ki t to correct the issue.
