  1. the rattle happens under mild acceleration and braking. is there a way to pull the whole dash off? and has anyone tried it (whats the difficulty level) thanks
  2. hey guys, wondering if anyone has the same problem. i've noticed that the shakes and rattles in my 2003 corolla are getting more noticeable, has anyone else experienced this? and is there a DIY way to fix the problem, the main rattle seems to be coming from the dash area thanks
  3. taken a few weeks ago comments/criticism welcome =)
  4. saw 2 on the back of a truck on the way to work this morning (southern cross drive) didnt even recognise what they were, kind of look like a pugeot 307 from the rear
  5. who's your cousin? ohh i've seen ur nickname around.. on xanga.. umm steven (or farmz) ah steve
  6. i thought i posted a reply...? basically said he was a very close friend and to all you guys out there, drive safe
  7. i dont recommend lying to insurance companies, especially about the 10% driving part I have heard from others about people being involved in accidents and insurance company employees snooping around their neighbours and asking questions like "how often do you see them driving the car...." and if they say "everyday" then theres a good chance the policy will be voided
  8. not sure about u guys but i get sick of chocolate pretty quickly if you really love your chocolate check out one of many max brenner's around sydney highly recommend the waffles with chocolate sauce and ice cream **be warned** its extremely sweet
  9. Hi All, I need to get my brake pads changed in the near future, currently have the oem pads on. Im not too mechanically savvy but from a scale of 1 to 10 how hard is it to DIY? (time consuming?) and any recommendations on brake pads, my mechanic told me bendix arents so good anymore because they took out the asbestos from them i dont mind paying a little extra if it means it will save my life p.s. I have a 2003 corolla conquest - doesnt have ABS if that makes a difference
  10. i s'pose they thought it would be the cheapest way to get into the car. instead of smashing the drivers window they just smashed the rear one and also less obvious when driving away
  11. these kinds of jobs are usually done by panel beaters out to make a bigger margin. does anyone remember a while back airbags out of corollas were being stolen like there was no tomorrow? the reason they steal them is because it costs them nothing to get the parts and then charge a ****load for them if in doubt of repairs, ask for an invoice for each individual damaged item just to curb this kind of behaviour
  12. exactly like how certain cars are not allowed to have foggies becuz they werent fitted from factory ..... but yet the exact same car that had them fitted from the factory they are legal ..... double standards? .... YES ..... is it fair? .... NO ..... can we do anything about it ..... NOPE ...... 1. fog lights arent "illegal", they can only be used in adverse weather conditions, if you decide to turn them on constantly (like those ****** holden ute drivers) then you can get fined ($75) 2. HID's which arent stock are defectable, this is straight forward. 3 components are the projectors, washers and self levelling system which come as a "set" 3. unsure why the dealer would tell you those cars come with cf bonnets, they're definitely not legal here and with good reason (metal crumples, cf doesnt)
  13. any idea on the cost of building the vtec mini?
  14. as negatron mentioned, its a bit stupid to uproot and move to sydney based on "opinions" of forum members. unless you have a guaranteed job and you know how much you will be earning i say dont bother (unless you have some money saved up to cover yourself) 1. Sydney people are rude 2. Public transport is a joke (late, delayed, non existent, get bashed, robbed OR all of these in the one day if you're lucky) 3. Very expensive (everything) so think hard about what you want to do, ultimately its your future cheers
  15. i think its lens flare and not an intentional effect
  16. you guys have awesome locations! where is that carpark with the pool tables?
  17. I stand in queues and get my handouts....(jokes) Offically I work in the freight industry Im a n00b photographer, thats about it really
