  1. Yeh, you should be able to spot the "weld" and also, the difference in price is common. I found that there was a price variance of about 30 between 4 different places, everyone is just trying to make a buck and whoever is willing to go the lowest usually wins I purchased my Potenzas from a Bridgestone place and naturally they were cheaper then bob jane and beaurepaires
  2. don't believe this has been covered in this thread, is it true V-power and other higher octane fuels damage injectors/engine on cars which have not been tuned for this type of fuel? i.e. i use v-power or whatever high octane fuel i can get my hands on all the time but only drive a conquest and not a sportivo cheers
  3. v-power is back in Sydney, pumped in some today
  4. Yeah, I probably need more patience here and go through all the procedure. As I mention before, I am not quite familiar with this country and things like that. Thanks for your help. Any support is essential to me. I heard of statutory declaration before but is it need to be done under the witness of people like "police officer" etc? Or just sign it? the problem is my neighbour told me that if anyone contact her, she will happy to told them what happen that day. And she give me her name and working contact phone number. As I rent a house there, not really very know each other before this incident. I don't know whether it is appropriate to ask her to make that declaration and whether it is necessary before I contact the city council by myself. I am really tired of dealing with this problem after the whole procedure of it. I just feel alone and no one gonna to help me out. Every party involve here seem not want to do any job physically. They just keep tell me to investigate and find everything they need. Indeed, I feel lack of power as I am oversea student here. May be I should calm down and wait until the holiday finish. Then I can give the council a call and try to get the registration number to my insurance company. If not, I will try the police. At the end of the day, if I still can't prove anything, I just spend that $500 and fix my lovely rolla. Any one have experience with those two repairer before? Zenith Automotive Body Repairs CATEGORY: Body Repairs ADDRESS: Fac 2/20 Brex Court, RESERVOIR, VIC, 3073 Phone: Fax: (03) 9462 2381 (03) 9462 0834 Mill Park & South Morang Smash Repairs CATEGORY: Body Repairs ADDRESS: 63 Yale Drive, EPPING, VIC, 3076 Phone: Fax: (03) 9401 6100 (03) 9401 6101 Email: Website: admin@millparksmash.com.au www.millparksmash.com.au I will get two quote from them. Seems they are VACC accredit. Should be ok, am I right? Anyway, Happy new year to you and your car. :P Can't say too much about the repairers since Im in Sydney, but with the statutory declaration, I think your neighbour can say what they saw and it only has to be signed by a JP (justice of the peace) happy new year
  5. congrats on finishing the hsc, just remember if u dont get into the course you want theres more then 2 ways to skin a cat
  6. No, they can be engineered if they're enclosed. The guy that purchased my old 4agte powered KE70 had to enclose the pod for engineering in NSW. My old chaser that was sold to a guy in newcastle already had it's pod enclosed and passed engineering without a problem. thanks for the heads up, im sure most people dont have enclosures
  7. Aren't pods considered defects in NSW?
  8. I've been reading your "progress" on the incident. As mentioned before a certain truck should be doing the same rubbish route, and I'd say for certain there HAS to be a record at the Council of which truck did which route on a particular day. So all you have to do is get your neighbour to sign a statutory declaration stating he saw a city council rubbish truck hit your car on that day and it should be good to go catch the ******ers
  9. that's what I was putting in, but because they thought it would be a good idea to close down for a month I've been forced to use crap fuel....
  10. if you guys look hard enough on the net you can find the actual videos of the hanging now the way is paved for the USofA to steal all of Iraq's oil, thank goodness for justice (btw the death toll for the US army is 3000)
  11. For all of those in NSW I suggest you dont turn on your foglights if it isn't raining, hailing or tsunami because if the cops want to be dicks about it they will and can fine you for it LOL fining for using foggies? Damn never thought it was that bad. Sorry guys, I've read through the whole post and i still couldn't find the distinction between Xenon lights and HID Kits? A friend told me HID has a mixture of the gas used in Xenon lights, giving it a Xenon look. Let me know If Im wrong, i wont believe anything he school's me on ever again :D I'm not an expert but I think I can shed a little light to the topic HID = High Intensity Discharge (so its a more intense bulb) Xenon = xenon gas is a rare gas which is heated inside the bulb (this is found in most high end european cars, the japs prefer to use HID's eg. accord euro, S2k) A set of xenons can cost thousands where as HID's can he had for a few hundred bux

Hey Ohbaby, would you know the name of the park in Watson's Bay? cheers
  15. Just an update one the V-Power fuel, I spoke with one of the servo attendants and he said there's no V-Power at all at the moment because the plant is on holidays (no joke) so I was forced to pump in crap "optimax 95" so be patient or go to caltex/mobil
  16. so it was 2 lanes each direction? u should've just stopped when u were in front of him and smashed his head in bloody fool
  17. I'd put money on inside job. Honestly, how does a "gang" (it would have to be at least 5ppl) get the knowledge and access prior to the job and pull it off. As far as I'm aware the Evo 9 can only be stolen if u drag it onto a tilt tray truck because it has quite a few immobilisers installed well I hope they catch the punks who did it, people have no respect for other people's hard earned money or maybe they'll drive the cars and have a fatal accident (karma will get ya)
  18. don't race any fords with a "000 race team" sticker on the rear window either I think it might be a good idea to also start a list of unmarked police cars (i.e when you see someone being pulled over by an undercover, remember the plates and post them here. A location of incident would also help isolate the zones they cover) just an idea
  19. nice photo of lightning, what camera+other equipment do you have? (yeh, I know this is a toyota forum but photography is my other hobby)
  20. pure pwnage
  21. Hey buddy, to be honest if I had that car I'd do things a little different. Not loving the paint or the silver "zig zag" on the car Id get a pearl white paint job, black rims and drop it
  22. they open at 10am
