  1. The question is, have we done anything right?

    I'll be there.

We do it right every week Trent. But constant exposure breeds familiarity, which in turns breeds comfort which in turn breeds contempt. We just have to mix it up a little.

I'll be out tonight, short a pair of TRD calipers

    edit: and tomorrow too! <_<

Where's your sense of adventure Andrew?? You have a handbrake dont you LOL I'll be out with a heap of stickers.

  2. My way of thinking is also to look at the list of those nominees and see which also covers the diferent models of Toyota. Gone and the days of TOCAU when all the mods drove Sportivo corolla's LOL. Diversity of the members here is growing immensely so all bases of models etc now need to be moderated. Plus some states need just a mod to be a representative to begin with and the more active states need mods to replace the inactive ones.

Expect an announcement of new mods within a week or so.

  3. Slightly off topic, but wondering if the above mentioned bar would fit a Gen 5.5 (2005) V6? By the sound of the discussion it appears that it should be ok?

    Thanks in advance.

Yeah, the strut brace will fit the facelift Gen5 with no problems.

Thanks Andrew for the confirmation, will have to try to source one now :)

I am back online now kids and can source stuff if you need it. Had to wait an eternity to get adsl connected to get back on here again....

  4. Mish who is the 3 mods in Qld?? ATM I'm the only one as Northy hung up his mouse and big red button from here a while ago although he still attends events etc from time to time.

Out of all the old mods who isn't active on here anymore apart from Northy? I'm on here every 2 days or so. what is everyone else doing??

  5. I'm going to throw a few ideas around for this years national meet. At our last meeting the majority agreed that a shorter cruise on the sunday morning followed by an organised racing session at a go kart track would be good.

Plenty of time to stand and chat, race, talk crap about who was better and everyone goes home with all their license points and straight unbent cars due to heroism!!

Interstaters what do you think? It will prolly cost about $80 but think about the amount of fuel and wear and tear that your car wont see!!

Dinner on the saturday night would be in Brissy CBD followed by some night sight seeing for the photography buffs!!

show and shine is still on sat arvo with the meet up at my car wash early in the morning for all the dirty cars to get a bath. friday night would be for those who could make it with a meet up at our usual spot followed by a short mountain cruise.

Let us know what you think guys(and ladies)!!!

  6. Pics to me look like it has collapsed a piston as the rod is still intact. Rod damage porlly occurred after the piston has failed. My guess is the bore is going to be badly damaged and if the ZRE's ahve the same bore construction as the ZZE's then the block is a throw away.

Might make a nice coffee table and talking piece in the loungeroom though :(

  7. dee in with the first lame excuse... :P hahaha kidding... (SUPER JEALOUS! of the cruise part, not the marriage part! haha)

    im there...

just saying from now... shot gun in someone elses car for the nebo run...

Mate front seat of the Hilux is up for grabs but bring a seat cover as I dont want any stains on the seat LOL

Meeting this thursday night at 8pm at the pool for all interested parties wanting to help out.

  8. Has anyone with a Sportivo had an issue with the CES piping tapping on the chassis, just before you hit the muffler? Any suggested solutions? I have already had different length hangars mentioned in my "Member Rides" thread, but do we have any other experiences or solutions?

    Adrian

did you put new hanger bushes on? Or are you using the old ones?? Cause the system is different to the stock system the weight is a lil more and your rubber mounts are prolly a bit on the soft side. They are 5 plus years old now!! I think energy suspension make replacement exhaust hanger bushes. Fit them and there will be no more probs. I modified my stock ones and stopped the system moving and touching in one spot. Took me about 10 minutes to rectify.

sportivo keeping up with bmw 130i ..... Surely not arnt they like twin turbo with tourqe kicking in at 1500rpm or some thing lol ...... does ces really make that much of a difference.... think i might need to start investing in the stivos breathing. :o

i was just reading on a pulsar sss forum that they were able to keep up with our sportivos ...... i don’t know what to believe lol

    Dave

SSS pulsar owners think because they have a SR20 they are unbeatable LOL. Truth is a Stock Sportivo will beat a stock SSS easily. there is 30odd KW difference inpower and weight is almost the same. I remember absolutely eating a SSS that has headers, exhaust and intake with my Sportivo that only had CES catback system. Top end of 2nd gear and all he was seeing was my tail lights dissappearing in the distance......

  9. 76 Kombi - 747 655kms - original engine rebuilt completely once and top end recently(mildly modified LOL)

    99 Hilux - 249 600kms

    09 City - 32 400kms

I had a Tarago maxi taxi come into work 2 weeks ago and it had 823 000kms on it!!! and when I moved it it felt like it had 823 000kms on it LOL
