  1. When I had my D2 installed, my mechanic had to use the original top mount from the standard shocks. He said the D2s are lot harder to install compare to the teins I got the D2, i ike the ride height and the price , cos koni they charge around the same price and you need to modify the original shocks.
  2. Hmmm my opinion is to get coilover kit or shocks and springs together. Based on my previous, I had kings with standard shocks. After 2 years of hard driving, the shocks are leaking with oil and I had to get konis to replace them. Coilover kit will give u the comfort and ride height you want.
  3. jsut becareful when u order any jap suspension, cos they have the zze123G which is the wagon version with softer spring rate I purchased my D2 on april and it was awesome, very comforatble as well. probably not as hard as the jap ones. Make sure you ordered the street one. Cos its only 60% price of the tein and 50% of the cusco, so u can afford buying another one when the first breaks
  4. Guys, I know that we have problems with shifting from 2 to 3 gear and the only solution is changing the trd clutch and flywheel. Will the installation of the trd short shift kit make the gear change harder? Can anyone help me? cos i am interested in getting it also
  5. Hi Guys, I have just joined this forum recently, bought zze123 few months ago, just want to meet anyone in melb and share some thoughts with the car. I dont see any future meets for melb ppl, only in sydney and bris. why? So far I have only met MarioX last time and can we organise something like go kart day or a drive along the mt dandelong? Cos I want to exchange some ideas on car audio stuff and car mod on sportivos!!!
  6. Hmm, they are charging me $600 bucks including wiring and and all the fuse boxes and stuff. When I did my last car it cost me around $300 of wiring, so i guess i paying $300 bucks for install. hmm, i guess ppl needs to make money, cheap install dont get good quality job (what I heard from others) Also I dont have time to do this stuff as I work full time. Dont mind meeting melb ppl and you can check out the install
  7. Thanks guys, For some reason, the noise didnt appear at all when the car is fully warmed up, like driving for 1/2 hr. Maybe I am just a paranoid person, but i like picking up things like that. Maybe someone here can help or we should collect this issue with other fellow sportivo ppl and let toyota know

  9. I m getting my stereo system installed in 2 weeks time, full alpine stuff with MB Quart speakers. I getting Tower audio to install them in Vic, they look pro cos they did the alpine show cars years back. I let you know once ive done it. They suggested me I only need the front doors only as I am using the MB Quart premium range at the front. Cost me a fortune!!!!
  10. Guys, It only happened when, The car is in gear Throttle is down 1000-1800 rpm However, when I took it to the dealer, the car didnt make the noise, guess the car is warmed up, I dont know, but they keep on making statements that I shouldnt rev the car above 700rpm, it can crack the pistons. But I left the car there, I told them to check the timing and hopefully when i pick up the car today, everything is good.
  11. Guys, The noise never happened before when I had the car, it was only noticable for the last 1-2 months. Not sure, but it would be glad if you guys have a next meet ups in melb so you can check it out. (anyone) cos I am new to the forum and i only brought the car 6 months ago. Just wondering what size are the standard speakers, cos i ll be upgrading my sound system. thanks P.S. By the way, my previous car didnt have this chain sound noise at all..
  12. Guys... By the way... The guy I talked on the phone, when I told him that I was revving the car above 7000rpm and see any problem, he said I shouldnt be doing it and it will cause damage on the rings and pistons. Lot of crap.... as Toyota claimed the max power at 7800 rpm. If they cant fix my car, I will seriously lodge a huge complain. Guys, do you know anyone can help me with this. I heard ppl been talking about dealers they rip ppl off when they service and fixing cars.
  13. Guys the noise only happened when: 1. when any gear is engaged 2. between (1000-1800 rpm) 3. When my right foot is on the accelerator pedal (on full throttle) I dont think its the engine problem, cos when the gear is not engaged, there is no noise. ***, I have already booked a time for service next week. If they cant fix it, I will lodge a complain to toyota directly.
  14. HI, Does anyone know the size of the front and rear speaker for corolla sportivo zze123. Thanks
  15. Hi Guys, Recently I have noticed that I heard a weird chain sound form the engine bay when the car is running between 1200-1800 rpm. I know it is normal to hear a vibration noise if the engine is lack of power, but i also hear this chain sound when the gear is engaged and the acceletor is down to around 2nd or thrid gear. I send the car back to toyata dealer and they said its normal. But when I took my car to the mechanics, they think it can be timing problems with the car. So any suggestions?
