  1. Is it true that the stock ECU will override the unichips after a few months back to normal?
  2. Thinking of leaving on fri nite or early sat morning and come back on sun lo. I plan to stay at mecure hotel at parramatta, or rydges at olympic park, around $130 a nite. If you go , it would be nice if someone shares the cost lo.
  3. HI Guys, I am planning to drive up to Sydney for the autosalon and meet a few Sydney ppl there on the weekend 1-2 Dec. Is anyone up for this? I am planning to visit David from AAI motorsports which they might be a srand there too... If not I might just catch a plane up or so?
  4. Hi, It comes to my mind, since after i have my blitz intake and CES exhaust and extractors, I have been looking for an ECU upgrade to fin tune my car. Now, I have been searching with the following options: 1. Apexi NEO SAFC - cheapest option, but no timing change and need to find the wiring diagram (total $700-800 inc dyno tuned) 2. Unichips - They claim 15KW atw but some ppl said the claim figure is incorrect ($1350 dyno tuned) 3. Motec M400 $2800 + install + tune So which one is better?
  5. Guys, I work on sats normally, so I will need some advance notice or perhaps fri and sun suits me better. Otherwise I can join up very late on sat..... Why dont we organise a supper night and I guess many ppl will able to turn up.
  6. HI Guys, I have recently installed my CES system. What I find is the tip (perhaps the muffler) is not sitting straight (aligned) with the bumper. It tends to lean on a downward angle. Is this true? The guy from sabbabin automotive in melb (CES fitter) claims the stock mufflers are like that, but I dont think so. Can anyone post some pictures for me so I can refer this to the guy and get him to refit it.?
  7. Call david from AAI motorsports, I think he still have 2-3 left lo.
  8. I agree.... If you want speedy service you should got to a shop and pay the premium price for it. You always get what you are paid for.
  9. Have you got this on your car at the moment ? how good it is compared to the stock one ? are they the same size compared to the stock one ? The reason i ask is bcoz i have spoken to few people and they said if you change it to "too big', it will make you car becomes too stiff to drive or the worse case is oversteer on cornering ? is that true ? All i know is the stock sway bar is thin and crap.... But if you go for TRD, i think TRD will make it suitable for the car handling. BUt overall handling is determined by tires, wheels, shocks, bars and the driver. Guess what! I compared mine with my bro's standard corolla sedan, his sway bar is much thicker than mine. That really makes me wonder why? is that bcoz the size of the car is bigger and that is why the sedan has the bigger rod? Anyway, i already send my order and david said is going to ready for everyone in 2 weeks time. For those that in WA, could someone suggests where can i get someone to install that for me? or DIY ? DIY the damn thing, should only take 10 mins Or any mechanic should do it for $10-20 bucks
  10. By the way... David from AAI motorsport has stocked some TRD and Toms filter. Ring him if you are interested in the TRD stuff, and tell him I sent you there, he might try to do a good price. Reason I know: I talk to him on msn everyday.
  11. D2 Coilovers Buddy club P1 Racing II + Buddy Club P1 Racing racing nuts B4: Dunloop Sport Max 215/45/17 (hitting the guard) Now: Bridgestones Potenza RE750 215/40/17 (no problems - runs like a mad man)
  12. Cos the states has a bigger market than Australia, different complaint levels. They all want slightly bigger engines, with better torque and driveability. I know this cos I work in the car design industry.
  13. Buddy club competition entered. http://forum.jdmstyletuning.com/showthread.php?t=5529

  17. Wheel alignment done, camber fixed, changed from 215/45/17 dunlops to 215/40/17 Bridgestones. Wheels inside the guard, no scrubbing, now i can go crazy on corners. So I can get swaybars and install CES on the 8th! And also looks better too.!
  18. Wheel alignment done. Camber adjusted, still hitting the guard, but not as aggressive.! I m going to change my tyres to 215/40/17. at the moment 215/45/17 is 6mm bigger in diameter than my stock. with Bridgestone Potenze Re750 Hopefully will be ok. 'New pics coming soon. Apparently this will fix the issue. But I am hoping to sell my rims! So i will get some special ones!.. Please help me pass around!
  19. Yeah i have done some negative camber, but the tires are still hitting. There is no room to roll teh guard. I taking it back to the tire shop and adjust the camber again. Otherwise I will change the tires to 40 profile.
