Hey i have an ATX and i feel that the front seats don't really support me enough when going around corners as much as i like. So are the seats in the sportivo models any better? i presume that this would be the best swap as they also made for the front airbags. How much would you expect to pay for them?

Forgot to mention that is about half you would pay if you went to a exhaust shop.

if anyone wants to purchase them, they come as a direct bolt on all made up with nice tips and as easy to put on. All that is needed is to jack up car a little and undo 4 bolts and put these on. Sound amazing like a high end sports car. if you are interested then let me know.

Once someone can answer this question ill be happy for this thread to be deleted, so anyone who has the straight pipe muffler delete is yours just a pipe or does it look like a muffler? and on a side not would painting it black look better :P

Hey all, got some custom made axel back straight through exhaust coming which is a muffler delete read on this fourm that it sounds great. I really should have found this out instead before ordering but has anyone had any problems with police or noise tests? I am presuming they are not legal? Still considering if i am going to use them or not (might be a pair for sale..lol). so to the many people that have had this done have you had any issues?

i will be trying 5w-40 next oil change and see if there is any difference.

it seems that i will have to use a 5w-40 oil in the brand, which is fine with me but why does everyone reccomend 5w-30?

Hi, got a qucik question about oil now i know that the aurion can use different grades of oil. I currently use a 5w-30 oil which is fully snytheic my question is can i only use a semi-syn or fully-syn? As during a disscusion with a famliy member said that i should be / reccommeded a 15w-40 oil or a it might of been a 10w-60 now i can get this in the current brand i am using but i want to try a different brand and in those viscositys they are only mineral. So can i use a mineral oil? and is running a 5w-30 good? all the online lube match guides reccomend it as the best choice. - Cheers

Hi, I am planning on getting some HID's for my headlights and want to do both high and low beam now the low beams will not present a problem as they are a direct fit. The high beams will be a issue as currently they are H1R1 bulb and standard HB3 wont lock into place. reading a older thread here: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/24130-xenon-bulb-upgrade-07-sx6/ It states by DJKOR that some modification is needed. what do i need to do to make them fit looking at some hb3 halogens i have here i can't seem to work out if its the thickness or legenth? Someone who has do this upgrade could you please shead some light on what i need to do? - AJ

I was cleaning my car oneday and a chunk of the dash came off about 1cm long, now have a dash mate but it still bothers me :( ohh.. it's also a 2007 aurion atx.

My aurion has done just over 122,000 on the clock and i have been using the 5w-30 grade oil, nulon to be exact when should you change to a higher grade of oil? say 10w-40 for example?

if you don't have the money to take it to toyota maybe try going to an auto electrian and asking there since it might be a fault with the wiring?

maybe disconnect the battery or remove the ECU fuse? that might help reset a setting.

Neither would anyone who lives in QLD, SA, NSW, ACT or Vic.The only good thing WA has is the fuel watch site, so that's a pro i guess. It gets to hot weather wise in summer so no go it is!

i would like a big V8 or maybe a XR6T but i am on my p's for at least another year so that's a no go, also have to pay back the loan for the car :P I was just curious to what mods you could do for performance of really i take it you the best mod's might be air intake and exhaust?

You might be write on this, but the new 2014 range of aurions have the same engine? or is it slightly different?

I wonder if custom headers would do anything or not?

Hello Ladies & Gents Thought i would create this topic as i can't seem to find another on the forum for the aurion and we could use this as a reference. Now there has been lot's of great ideas for upgrading air intakes and exhausts ect... What could you do to upgrade the engine to run better, faster and harder? - Change the Air filter to a high flow panel filter or K&N Typhoon 69' Series Intake. - Change the exhaust, have read that it's best to get header-back as changing the manifold might throw up a error code. (i have not seen any proof it could be a myth) or cat-back. - Get and ecu tune or flash or performance chip (ebay chip, not sure if it works) Not really engine related but if you doing performance upgrades it's a good idea to get better brakes, tyres and suspension and strut braces. If i have missed anything that is worth doing for performance, handling ect.. mention it below and ill add it. What i have done to my aurion is change the air filter to a K&N high flow panel filter and done the vacuum hose swap. Am looking to do more but have run out of ideas Let the think tank begin! - AJ

Good point Luke, headlights in something you should not try and compromise same goes with tyres.
