  5. i never got a dell, but saying that i wouldnt get a nec either.. :) friend has an nec and its disasterous.. i've used sony all my life and they i recon are built to last and all quality parts in them. Make sure they are the one from jap, the ones from china im not too sure :P .. like the IBMs, the sony will NOT die.. lol it even poured a bowl of cereal on it.. :) i would have to disagree with you on that one. i have literally pulled apart laptops of every single brand. the sony's screens are very easily damaged. IBM laptops are built with titanium conposites in there chasis so are very strong structurally. NEC has been rated japan's no1 brand last year. and all laptops are made in china and also all laptops are built by 3 major companies. the companies are MSI LG and another company which i cant remember now. i know for a fact that IBM and Apple laptops are made by LG. i got myself a LG laptop from work and i think it is one of the best brands out there althought not known very well. haha well, i suppose thats the diff when u buy top end laptop vs the normal laptop, i now use an hp.. coz i dont see the point of getting another sony but all the ones i had since i bought them once they r released, they are all made in japan (or claimed to be) and i had no problem with anything, on the other hand my friend has a dead batt within months, dead cooling fan within the year in his nec.. and nth has gone right.. speaking of which a guy i know that got a LG laptop has sent it back 3 times and he is still hving problems with it.. u mite have pulled apart millions of laptops but i'd still like to hear the amount of complains u get for nec/lg vs sony and ibm.. but again, if smeone is afta something thts below 800 bucks whatsoever.. yeh maybe go nec or what not that if ur expecting to replace it in a year or two time unless ur lucky or ur DAMN careful with it :) - and that does not involve pouring cereal onto ur lappy ;) I guess im going to have to give you monthly updates on my nec and see if your right (fingers crossed your not) ...:) Its the same with dell , with every five people that like dell i know five people that hate them <_< . Thanks simon , i told your boss that he owes you the commission 2 .

  16. Where abouts in Melbourne? I need a place soon too. the place i got it is from moorabin(spell correctly?) you should be close, coz freddy is nearby.. how big is the dent? how deep? Nice. I know which place your talking about. Doesn't really matter where as I travel all over Melbourne. It's tiny (5 cent coin size), but it's annoying because I know it's there. 5 cent size? then DIY, just hv to find out where to get dry ice. most BOC places have it .
  17. You got it direct from Toyota Motorsport (www.tte.de) right? I am looking for a few parts which are normal Toyota Accesories in Europe but not available here. However as far as Toyota Motorsport parts go I am orderring the Lowering Springs in the next few weeks, just trying to hunt down the best price option www.tte.de vs. European Dealer vs. Toyota Australia. Toyota Motorsport actually believe that dealers here sell the parts. If I can find the right price for it I will get the twin exhaust even if it is just for rice value you mean this one

  22. here's the full article , bloody good result though . Toyota's HiLux was the best-selling vehicle in Australia last month: the first time a ute has achieved the feat. Toyota also had the number two seller with Corolla, which has extended its lead as the top-selling car so far this year. It is the first time Toyota has achieved the "quinella" by having the two best-selling vehicles in the country in one month. Other firsts for Toyota in April were: * Record sales of 20,838 vehicles, up 27.2 per cent on April 2007, * Record market share of 24.8 per cent, up from 21.7 per cent in the previous April, * More than doubling the sales of its nearest competitor, * Achieving the top four positions in the SUV market - Kluger (1268), RAV (1191), Prado (1157) and LandCruiser 200 Series wagon (1124). Sales of HiLux 4x2 and 4x4 models totalled 3814 vehicles in April, an increase of more than 27.1 per cent on the same month last year. Corolla was next with 3722 sales - almost 400 ahead of the third-placed vehicle. So far this year, Australian motorists have bought 15,724 Corollas - at least 890 more than any other vehicle. The company's divisional manager of national sales, Tony Cramb, said strong sales of Toyota commercial vehicles such as HiLux were due to improved supply and favourable economic conditions in key sectors. "Demand has been running hot for vehicles such as HiLux because of the mining boom and the easing of the drought in many places," Mr Cramb said. "We have been short of stock, especially for turbo diesel models, but we were able to get additional supply last month. "In the passenger car market, Corolla continues to thrive because it offers fuel efficient four-cylinder motoring in the face of rising fuel prices," he said. "Consumers are clearly turning to vehicles with a proven track record of reliability and durability along with a reputation for fuel economy and affordable running costs."
