  1. With the 03-05 Corolla i have only found one grommet in the firewall to allow user to feed lines or cables from the engine area into the inside cabin. The grommet is about 1cm.

Is is this the only hole for users to get things through into the cabin?

i have already filled that hole and have more accessories to patch thru to the inside of the car. Any thoughts

  2. hid retrofit generally not legal because of issues such as you mentioned and not self levelling. Most get away if the colour and brightness is not too dazzling but some are concerned with insurance cover or having to get a rwc

    anyhow

Hid though is old tech stuff. LED is an easier and reliable technology you should consider mod with. Led goes on straight away too and lasts long

  3. Seeing that you have left the service that long you might not be interested but for someone careful they would also replace the transmission fluid and just maybe the power steering fluid but that is not really a complex system that has lots of friction.

Radiator coolant should be replaced every 2 years. Fuel filter is one of those recommended items when you reach 100k.

bendix has multiple lines and the one I really like is GCT they have great bite and really low dust. Saves you from cleaning and keeps looking clean linger

  4. Hi suresh welcome

    the oem part no 55420-28300

yiu can try Toyota but don't be shocked if they asking $100 for it

online databases may not be updated so I would call around the wreckers including on the east coast as they will ship.

    good luck

  5. JB sounds like you want to do it. It isn't hard to do the basic drain &?refill.

    Mat 200k it's good maintenance.

drop the old red most likely brown by now fluid from the bottom of the transmission pan. Once the fluid has drained out, replace the bolt and tighten.

Then find the transmission dipstick from the top engine bay. Remove the stick and via that tube you pour in the new fluid. Use the dipstick level to see how much fluid to add or measure the quantity of fluid that you dropped out from the bottom earlier.

    It takes 10-20 mins

there's friction and best to replace the filter as well inside the pan but that is a bigger job

  6. I'm of the view that tech wax is for easy apply and good results. Carnauba generally is more pro and requires more effort but it gives off well that professional result.

i park in a garage so there is not the constant elements. Anyhow I always thought by the time the paint was aged I would consider a respray. I know some people are pedantic but then there are people who don't have the time or want to spend the effort.

  7. Dt panels and jet speed are the type of business that work on imports day in day out. Different to sheen panels.

sheen in my opinion does more standard body shop repairs. DT and Jet however built their reputations in the mod car scene. Years of experience and likely to have done what you're thinking of

  8. The 3M product, like all 3M is engineered to perform. It works to shield against stone chips.

Another solution is clear vinyl spray. Put it down thick and several coats good.
