  1. ive used niteshades (on my motorbike) before, but found the result to be a little too matte for my liking. Also had a friend use window tint on foggies which seem to be holding up quite well (only been 1 month though) with much better clarity than niteshades
  2. i have had the foam backing disintegrate INTO the seat itself. Its a real bitch to clean out (but thats after 10yrs of use). Personally im over the use of any form of seat cover. I find you're better off steam cleaning the seats whenever they become dirty.
  3. This is by far my favourite AE92. Mate had one a while back till some idiot [P] plater drifted into it whilst it was parked. It was so much fun to drive, its like a go kart for the street! Such a shame to hear that its being parted out =[
  4. Can be done, but will take ALOT of time and effort. (and tools). Probably not worth it tbh. Try a different wrecker and/or mechanic. What part of the rear wheel/suspension is damaged?
  5. see edit: just realised they were for different V6's
  6. Where are u located? I have a complete left hand side hub assembly from a Kluger (left over from brake upgrade) which u can have for free. (im in western sydney) Im assuming it should also work? (only have one side though)
  7. Recently picked up a complete 329mm Kluger setup from the wreckers for just $300. (Calipers, rotors and pads) Did a prelim test fit, and the calipers cleared the circumference of my SP23 rims by no more than 2mm!! Getting the rotors machined today. Will be painting the calipers next week, but wont be installing them till my current pads wear out. (I also have a set of 14" jellybean slot mags (8" wide and +5 offset) which i want to get a photoshoot done with first, and that can only be done with stock brakes on my camry)
  8. Cleaned the injectors recently. I figured i'd kill two birds with one stone and sanded the rocker cover whilst it was off with some 1000grit wet and dry. Combined with a timing belt change & new leads the engine revv's alot more freely and smoothly!
  9. Thats one clean chaser! Do you have a page for ur corolla?
  10. holy crap that sounds good!
  11. Ah. i've noticed your aurion for a while. I remember it was one of the fisrt aurions i saw lowered with nice aftermarket wheels. Always wondered if you were on TOCAU (i was barely active on this forum until recently) The camber pins were $95 per pair. I got them from Jim Hunters Suspension in Third Ave, Blacktown.
  12. ta SuperPro Engine Steady Bushings: There is a bit of vibration during idle, but its a small price to pay for the gains. The difference during driving is huge. The front end of the chassis feels stiffer. Engine doesn't slosh around - car is more composed when going over bumps/potholes and especially high speeds in general. Less sway during turning and direction change is alot more snappy. Acceleration is more immediate and gear changes are smoother. Not to mention, the engine's note has also changed! If you can stand a bit of vibration during idle, then this mod is a MUST.
  13. ^The red "brembo" is just a cover for the OE calipers. The other two seem real enough though. Sorry mate, had a buyer before I even had them off the vehicle. Ahh, no worries. I think i'll be following in your footsteps and going the Kluger setup as well! :D
  14. cheers jeffy! Some info on the mod: I did the conversion as per http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t65507.html. The celica sub antenna and antenna nut were not available domestically due to Aussie celicas having an electric antenna whereas the ones in America didnt. So i had to get the sub antenna and antenna nut shipped from the US. There was one problem though - the celica sub antenna was not a straight fit for the gen4 due to the angle of the mounting hole being greatly different for the gen4 camry vs the celica/gen3 camry. Had to modify the sub antenna by grinding down/cutting the mounting face (the bit of the antenna top plate that touches the antenna hole from the inside of the car). After that everything was pretty straight forward. The result: Reception is pretty decent too, not as good as the stock antenna, but im not complaining considering the huge improvement in asthetics.
  15. As Dave stated, toe has the greatest effect on tyre wear. However camber definitely does cause increased wear. The ideal setup is to have no camber on the rear, and a little on the front. Have you looked into Nolathane camber kits? Thats what im running atm to eliminate the camber caused by lowering. PS. Is that your Aurion i see parked on grandview ave?
  16. Steven, are u looking to sell ur old brake setup?

  18. Do u still have ur old setup for sale Anthony? I was thinking of popping em on my gen4 ^^. Say, you wouldnt happen to know how many mm's in diameter the gen6 rotors are?
  19. Who is this Pharmacist you speak of Andrew? Ive done a search but to no avail. I'm after a brake upgrade for my 4cyl gen4 camry and at the moment planning on going the 323mm Supra Rotor route
  20. Ah learn a new thing everyday!! Clearly don't see the point of enforcing wiper blade changes tho. I mean I don't see the authorities "profiting" from this exercise, unless they get some sort of kickback from wiper companies <_< Does anyone know a cheap place to get replacement blades for Toyota Aurion. Some *&%$ thought they'd help themselves to mine. The new blades look like AUDI ones and Toyota said they don't have a problem replacing them.....for $84 freakin dollars....What a RIP.... If I catch the idiot who nicked my wipers...I'm gonna glue the wiper on him.... get the MTEC wipers. they're so good IMO. :) and yet they're cheap and MADE IN JAPAN. hahaha.. i couldnt resist continuign the quoting chain.. ^^ ONTOPIC: I might also get myself some MTECs... one of my current wiper's metal thingy is broken :( .. but its a very minor part of the wiper.. :) OMG: my 1st post!!!!
