  1. Hiya, I suppose this would be better as a pole, but here goes... Are personalised plates pretentious? I admit I have them, but I just want all those *^#@%%^ to know they've just been beaten by a girl... What's the general opinion though???? Jen
  2. It bloody better be on! I just spent the vast majority of my Saturday getting my car up to standard! Car lovers, lots of Leather protector and Amorall. Bring it on! :)
  3. Where abouts is the other car park? Though I suppose I won't miss the group of very sexy cars
  4. Yay! I can make it finally 11 am... Is that the dirt car park or another car park I'm not aware of? I'm going to have to go clean my car.........
  5. WOOHOO! Spotted! I thought I saw a Stivo headed that other way.... I'll check out the meets now :) There's another red stivo round Queanbeyan somewhere too, plates starting with AMR....
  6. have a look at the servo at the airport, who knows u might see several more Yeah, when I first got mine from Victoria I had a chat to the guy at the airport servo (flew down in the morning and drove it back, was picking up the other car)- he owned a sportivo and commented on my sunroof..... Wasn't you was it Micky??? :)
  7. Thanks guys, I found the fuse no worries, it was getting out that was problematic, mainly cause I just don't own that many tools..... BUT... May the makers of thin tipped needle nose pliers from this point on live healthy and happy lives
  8. Thanks Micky. Tried the "other end of the white thing" but to no avail. Looks like I'll have to look like an idiot in front of the boys at toyota. I'll try again tomorrow, but I don't think I can go much longer without music! Thanks for your help though. I'll be at the next meet hopefully with a fully working sound system.
  9. Spotted at Canberra Airport YEN52U Nice Sportivo. Is it ok to say mine's better though? :)
  10. Hey Guys, A question and a warning! I've been using a dodgy car charger for my phone. On Saturday the thing broke. All fine and dandy except it took the CD player, A/C display and clock with it! I'm sure it's just a fuse, but the problem is which one? I'm going to start with the Cig. lighter fuse, but the ^%$#$&^* problem is I can't get the bloody thing out! I've tried the white tweezer things and normal tweezers, and my finger nails and yelling at it and having an evil look competition with it but nothings worked. I'm probably going to have to take it to a Toyota dealership to ask them to change the FUSE!!! (which is just waay too girly and embarrassing)! Unless anyone's got any ideas??? Thanks, Jen
  11. Thanks for asking that Rolla Boy. I was just about to.

    JOKES !!!!

I got this one through an email in 2003 and I still love it: > Pilot Gripe Sheets > > >After every flight, pilots fill out a form called a gripe sheet, which >conveys to the mechanics problems encountered with the aircraft during the >flight that need repair or correction. The mechanics read and correct the >problem, and then respond in writing on the lower half of the form what >remedial action was taken, and the pilot reviews the gripe sheets before >the >next flight. Never let it be said that ground crews and engineers lack a >sense of humour. Here are some actual logged maintenance complaints and >problems as submitted by Qantas pilots and the solution recorded by >maintenance engineers. By the way, Qantas is the only major airline that >has never had an accident. > >(P = The problem logged by the pilot.) >(S = The solution and action taken by the engineers.) > >P: Left inside main tyre almost needs replacement. >S: Almost replaced left inside main tyre. > >P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough. >S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft. > >P: Something loose in cockpit. >S: Something tightened in cockpit. > >P: Dead bugs on windshield. >S: Live bugs on back-order. > >P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent. >S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground. > >P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear. >S: Evidence removed. > >P: DME volume unbelievably loud. >S: DME volume set to more believable level. > >P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick. >S: That's what they're there for. > >P: IFF inoperative. >S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode. > >P: Suspected crack in windshield. >S: Suspect you're right. > >P: Number 3 engine missing. >S: Engine found on right wing after brief search. > >P: Aircraft handles funny. >S: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right, and be serious. > >P: Target radar hums. >S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics. > >P: Mouse in cockpit. >S: Cat installed. > >P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding >on something with a hammer. >S: Took hammer away from midget.
  13. Anyone know why they made them the grey-ish colour in the first place and not the solid black they should be??!!!! It's another mod I want to do on mine as well.
  14. Thanks mate, I'll take you up on that offer! I haven't got the hang of lift yet, I seem to automatically change gear before it hits the 6000 mark, I'm learning, but slowly! I love lift, but first thing in the morning I seem to forget that I have it. I'll have fun learning though
  15. Make that 5 :P Jen (unimaginative user name I know!) 28yrs old, I'm in Queanbeyan (hence the ACT/NSW) I like to drive B)
  16. Maybe it's a girl thing, but I like the subtlety of this one. Plus I haven't been a member long..... I like the black and red first one from B Rad too though.....
  17. Hi guys, I'll make myself available any night you guys decide on. I may be going to Brisbane next week for work, but that'd just be overnight anyway. Jen
  18. Micky-Tee! I only discovered this site a few days ago, it's great. I love my car! Whenever you guys meet up again I'll be there :)
  19. Hiya, Has anyone managed to get the same effect as the youtube vid?
  20. YEE25X Black Sportivo in Queanbeyan- Broken Talked to the bloke and he had a flat a couple of days ago and had another tonight :o My sympathy. Murphy's bloody law!
  21. No, not a red headed rolla driver. :P I hit the lift today, then I did it again and again and again, AND I plan to do it again and again and again, it was waaay too much fun. Hear that sound? it's my rising petrol bill.
  22. Point taken, for my own health and benefit I will, from now on, ensure that I push my car into the "Lift Zone" on a daily basis!
  23. Bare feet/socks is best for me, I've had my car for 4 months now and shoes make a difference. I can't drive it smoothly with my steel caps, my work shoes or thongs, my Converse are fine though. I had a passenger in the car the other day, I got in, took my shoes off and they said it's illegal to drive shoeless! Is this actually true? If so, what a load of bollocks! You get such a better feel for the car and the clutch without the inch of rubber sole!
