Hey champ,
Before posting check the relevant sections of this forum. There is a whole section dedicated to car sound that will be able to help you out :)
Do a search for the custom sub boxes that people have put in their cars, they mold nicely into the right hand side boot space (come out on a Thursday night and see fudge bottoms), obviously negating the need for a stand alone sub box. There is also no need to see speakers or amps...speakers fit nicely behind the door trim in molds and amps can be hidden underneath the things you sit on...i think they are called seats There are plenty of options...just check in the car sound section! :)
Cheers

hehe play nice! :P
And to answer your original question... the biggest size rim you can legally put on your car will be a 17 inch, however 18's will also fit, and yes to stop people getting P***ed off at you i would post in the correct section. Not everyone is a nice as me...Northy and SB have their mean streaks! :P

Hey Mate,
Great to see you on board with TOC! The easiest way to find things for you car is by doing a search for performance mods i.e search '1zz parts' and im sure you will get a few hits. There are plenty of mods out there if you want to spend the money. CES do after market exhausts tailored for the 1zz, there are a few different Cold Air Intakes you can use including TRD. Suspension mods can also be done with plenty of parts after market parts made to fit your model corolla including new sway bars/strut braces/springs/struts and coilovers
Just keep in mind the majority of performance parts that the 2zz boys use can also be utilized on the 1zz. (with a few exemptions)
I noticed you were in Brisbane. To see what you can do come out to the regular Thursday night meets and catch up with everyone. I can assure you that you will pick up a few ideas from us all. PM me if you want more details!
Cheers

And they sell these cars?????

hmmm...nasty. Why is it the Japanese people seem to get excited when people are getting hurt?
-
from what i have heard, you play with the reverse beep anywhere but with the speaker, the ecu will go into limp mode.
if u get rid of the speaker, u loose the speaker for all beeping reminders.
Its just a beep... its not like u are in reverse for more than 30 seconds max... get over it and deal with it, the rest of us do.
Agreed!

Its not a fog light indicator, rather a headlamp on indicator. It comes on in a greeny yellow colour. It would just be an LED that has blown. In all honesty there is little point replacing it. I'd imagine that if you did there would be a bit of soldering involved. Personally I would just check my headlight stem to see whether the foggies are on or not. Best of luck

What state are you in? If you are in Qld I can recommend a few places that would take up the challenge. PM me if you want details
-
aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh... and i know know how you broke the bolt :P
-
hey buddy,
Simply take you wheel off and have a look at the pads and rotors. If there is one fifth of f*&k meat left on the pads its a reasonable assumption that it is th wear indicator on the pad making the noise. If there is still a bit of meat and a nice etched section of the disc, which will be smooth as a babies bum if in good condition, you may well have a small stone stuck in/under under or around the pad.
Another reason the pad may make a squealing noise is if the pads are not fitted properly, ie on a dodgey angle. this is unlikely though unless you have taken them out at some point to have a ;look at them and then reinstalled them incorrectly.
Hope this has been of help.

sorry i was confused as to which bolt we were talking about
Listen to rollamods....he is so wise! 2 welds much better than one!!!!
-
yeah that is really impressive!
-
Also take a look at some of the sound deadening products that JayCar stock. Did my car with them. Did the job nicely and not expensive at all. Did all 4 doors for $150. The sound is so much better.
-
Mine has been doing it for 2 years and i have had no issues. It is just an issue with the rear hand break drum lining coming loose at one of tis 4 contact points. It sounds crap but not an issue in the long run. It can be fixed with a rear drum overhaul kit if it really worries you. :)

Synforce oils mate!!!. They claim pretty good power gains if all oils in the car are changes. These are dyno proven results so probably worth a try. the website has all details.
Certainly one of the cheapest options
-
depending on size and desired set up around $600 would just about cover it!
-
Hey mate,
The ecu is generally quite slow to pick up on changes after the first 400km (the learning stage). Once you have made a modification it is worth while doing a reset. It won't hurt your car in any way and will only increase your performance, not reduce it.
-
Hey champ. A tac weld will do the job. Before you do it i would be weary of letting people use the seat for the time being. In an accident there is a slim change it will come loose and could be a little ouchy for your passenger. :D
Obviously putting a whole new bolt would be preferable. I have seen this done...not on a corolla though. Took a bit of effort but it is obviously a lot safer and more structurally sound than a weld but will cot a little more to have done. Good luck!

adapters FWT!!! Should be able to pick one up for $20 at supercheap. They go from Toyota to generic then you joint the generic wires to you pioneer ones. (The colors will all be the same) very simple and very easy!
-
couldn't hurt to try the new filter. If that doesn't work go and chuck a tantrum at Toyota until they fix something.
