  1. The OziExplorerCE version I am successfully is 2.31.

To use it with your unit you have to first of all install OziExplorerCE and

    maps onto the memory card.

Install the card back into the unit and check to see if it goes to the IGO8

    navigation Program.

In map mode select the "Menu" at the bottom right hand side of screen.

You are now in the "Navigation Menu" screen.

Select "Exit" at bottom right hand side of screen and on screen display asks

"Are you sure you want to exit program?"

Select "Exit" and you should be at "Navi & Option screen". Push "Option" and

it will then go to a screen showing "Calibrate & Navipath".

Push "Navipath" and you will the Mini SD card's contents in a "file tree"

    view.

Select the + sign next to OziExplorer file. "file tree" will change.

Select the OziExplorerCE.EXE file and it will then appear the top of screen

    black window.

Tick the "Autorun" box and use the "blue back indicator arrow" next to that

and it will take you back to the "Calibrate & Navipath" window.

Push that same arrow again and it will take you back to the "Navi & Option"

screen and select "Navi" and OziExplorerCE will run.

To go back to the IGO8 software, select "File" in Oziexplorer menu and

    "Quit".

Unit will then go to "Navi & Option" window.

    Select "Option"

    Select "Navipath"

    Select +next to Map

Select + next to Igo8 Australia PNA withR15 Map

Select + next to igo8 Australia PNA version with R15 Map

    Select + next to ig08

    Select igo8.exe

Check that it appears in the black window at top of screen.

Tick "Autorun" box and use the "blue back indicator arrow" next that and it

will take you back to the "Calibrate & Navipath" window.

Push that same arrow again and it will take you back to the "Navi & Options"

screen and select "Navi" and Igo8 will run.

Sounds hard but it isn't really, once you've done it a few times.

Probably could simplify the tree for Igo8 and it would be simpler.

Let me know how you go.

  2. Hi, I own a 03 corolla it has 70k on the clock which im quite happy with

i just started travelling 650 K's a week. So it looks like il clock up 30,000 a year!

when does a corolla engine start to deteriate? 150, 170 ?

DO you plan on keeping it serviced? If so the sky is the limit. No reason why you cant get 300k out of a corolla if not more. CAI's will reduce your engine life as the allow more dust ect into the combustion chamber by nature even with a good filter. 150k and the engine is only just getting worn in :P

  3. Yeah bursons is best value for sways and strut brace etc.

sway is best bang for buck i reckon at $118........and it wont affect boot space at all as its under the car etc.

as for good oil, the toyota service centre i go to will get whatever oil i want across on the day and put it in for you if you ask.....maybe dependent on service place

yeah CAI can be expensive they dont really depreciate too much

I got quoted $213 for a rear bar today from Bursons up here. Apparently they are not a big customer :S

  4. Hey all,

The wife has finally approved a budget of $1000 to spend on my 04 prefacelift sportivo.

My car is stock except for super low springs.

I need your help, whats your thoughts on the best combo of parts that can I get as this is probably the last time in my life that I can spend this kind of $$ on my car. (not including insurance)

Is this enough for a CAI and Strut bars???

Apologies for my lack of price knowledge.

    cheers

    post-535-1251876816_thumb.jpg

    Thats just enough for

A set of Koni adjustables or

Front strut brace rear sway bar and a CAI

if you are after noise go for the CAI

If you like the twisties get the konis as they will do wonders. (works better witha rear sway var as well though.

Strut braces look cool but are a bit overated.

  5. light mod means no t66r turbo hanging off the side, ha

spot on gav. was definite light mod.

i was driving like a demon that day. i keep thinking now i'll take it easy, but then some shtty vtec will go past me and the 2zz gremlin will reappear

    whitestivo

    I'm impressed! :D

    should be an awesome day!

  6. t

i think you have my stivo confused, just a light mod stock stivo giving it to the lancer.

also, i read the best time was 1.05.3, not sure about this 1.04.5 business, don't tell me, dash mounted gtech...

    whitestivo

Sorry to be a pain....just one more Q.

What is a "light mod stock stivo"? Forgive my ignorance but once a modification is done to a car, doesn't that make it a modified car? Fair bit of difference saying a stock stivo does a 65. It's just that I heard you have Koni's, Kings, exhaust and an intake???? not exactally stock?

What mods did you have doing that time?

  7. swatch watch, you know those things are put together in a toy factory

we shall see. I think my ability may stop short before then. won't stop me trying.

i'm going to draft off superdave if i can. i know first session write off, but second and third session, i'll be going for it.

    whitestivo

    ;)

No rules against drafting....should be a good day.

nah timing off my swatch watch

Only one way to settle this. If you pull a 105.0 or better i will owe you a carton! :D Hahaha what a deal!

  9. All i know is a certain ralliart lancer couldn't catch the stivo, and everyone loves to see that (well everyone here)

If i go and pull a sub 1.02, i will conceede the timing is probably out

I just enjoy being out there, and seeing if i can improve on my times during the day, learning about my car.

    whitestivo

    :P Oh how true!

This may be one of the reasons why a certain ralliart lancer is being sold and a sportivo is being bought

Oh and further more a 104.5 isnt too bad for a car on street rubber that weighs 1600kg/s and is way down on power to weight compared to a stivo (stivo = 8.5 kg:kw, lancer = 9kg:kw). compared to a stivo with semi's power fc, coils ect(not to mention SD's super powers) I'm surprised I even pulled that.

  11. I've decided, it's back to the track in September to test out the mods, see what I've gained.

Anyone else keen? I'll be registering early August to ensure i get a pit spot. Best if we register together so we got a pit group.

Not to mention all that drifting has got me excited to see if I can do it in the stivo

    whitestivo

Mmmmm last time SD and I were out there the timing system was playing up.....I wonder if that happened the first time you were out there?

Are you implying that perhaps he's not as fast around QR as he thinks he is?

:o How could you suggest such a thing! All im saying is that the timing at QR does have a tendency to be slightly flawed. Take form my comment what you will.

Haha, yeah it was diesel, makes it a bit easier :P Maybe time to invest in a snorkel? Might stop any water issues. Nice mud tyres none the less!

  14. Lol.. I would have died!

Meh, I have been strait through the middle of that pond in the work Hilux and it gets through easy, give it a try next time! Haha one day when i was trying to miss the traffic along Stanmore Road I went down that track and there were ducks sitting in the puddle :P Yatala FTW!
