Hey ive just installed my powerfc and i rewired the standard sportivo harness with everything going good the only thing thats hard to get working is the temp gauage but everything else even the electronic idle load or whatever it is mine idles at about 1k and when i play around with the hand controller it responds almost instanlty so i dont know whats playing up witt yours maybe the harness has something to do with it
your not in brisbane by any chance are you ?
PM me and ill put you in contact with someone that will be happy to help you

Apparently the MWR manifold works for the RHD Celicas so long as you are happy to run a very skinny filter connected directly to the side of the turbo.
-
They sit inside the vehicle on your dash. It would have to be a decent crash if you were to destroy one - plastic or not. You can find these a lot cheaper at www.dealextreme.com ($70-$80). These are all good if the accident wasn’t your fault, but if you are to blame I would be hiding this pretty quickly to ensure your insurance company can’t get a hold of the video.
Interesting Fact - QLD police are finally catching up with the times and implementing similar devices in their vehicles which are activated once lights and sirens go on. Nothing like having video evidence. Shame they aren’t meant o partake in vehicle pursuits anymore.

I broke my car on the way home last night :( soem ******* left a chock of wood in my engine bay under the cv joint while changing the gearbox - right CV now destroyed. $2500 in the last month and counting....i hate this car
-
I thought you loved me ash!? Haha
-
I should be there - been way too long since my last visit

CES have a set of ported headers sitting on the shelf you could buy. proven gains of 6kw's :)
-
Damper settings have nothing to do with the overall ride height. you will need to compress the springs more on the coil to give yourself more height in the rear.
-
troll
but anyway - why not do this if you want a drag car - does 10's at 200mph ;)
-
Correct!
Headers alone will give you more torque and around 6kw (CES figure). The stock headers ported are pretty damn good. I havent heard any reviews of eBay jobs so can't comment on them.
to get any decent power out of a 2zz you will need a 2.5 inch system. mandrel bent is a must to allow for smoother flow. cat back system is fine as the stock cat flows very well, not to mention the pipe between the cat and headers is a dual cell setup to give more torque through extending the 4-2-1 setup.
depending on your setup - a full exhaust and headers might land you between 8-12kw's
I have heard a full cat back system with ss magnaflow resonator and muffler and it had a decent sound. Not too noisy just tough and aggressive particularly in lift.
-
Hahahaha
you have way to much faith in an iPhone app dude!
sub 7's not really possible - sub 8's are there if you try!
-
get a 2.5 inch system - that will actually make power :)
So long as there is a decent sized resonator in the system, the sound should not be an issue for you. The muffler is a wierd setup on the celica so something custom might be required. If it is a good exhaust shop, they should eb able to make something reasonably quiet in a 2.5 inch system.

use the search funtion bud.
be kind to superdave - he is still hung over from the weekend :P
-
Hey Bud
GT = 1zz celica
GTS = 2zz celica
You want to buy the GTS part as they will probably use a larger diameter pipe to accommodate the higher exhaust flow of the 2zz engine.
As for it fitting they look as though they would buy buyer beware I guess.
Also these systems are not genuine cat back systems - they are axle back systems. For $500-$600 you would be able to get an exhaust shop to knock up a 2.5 inch ss mandrel bet system no worries. This is probably your best option.

If you disconnect it from the shifter your reverse lights will not come on. you can cut the sensor wire at the back of the cluster - that would stop it.
-
The buzzer itself is located on the circuit board of the dash cluster. can be removed with a soldering iron. but considering it is an important safety feature of the vehicle why not leave it! i went into reverse a couple of times when going for first at the lights (while not thinking) when i had a Stivo - and it saved me.
how often are you in reverse? It also works as the headlight warning light so probably best to leave it.

Hi JT3, I'm very interested in your Gen7 Celica TRD body kit you have for sale, firstly are you prepared to ship to Brisbane? I'm most interested in the front lip and rear wing but you probably want to sell the whole lot, thats fine. Can you provide side on shots of the wing please.
but i want it too!!!!
-
do a search buddy. these do not fit our cars. will only fit left hand drive models.
-
buy a celica!! :P
-
Hey Dude,
You should really have a look at a ZZT celica. Having owned a 05 sportivo for 6 months before my ZZT, I can confidently say the Celica is 100 fold better in almost every way (apart from the 5 door thing).
I suppose it really depends what you are chasing, but don't knock them until you try them. (you get used to the looks after a while :P)
-
yeah. no chance in hell. celica system sucks nuts anyway...way too restrictive in so many ways!
-
Should have bought a celica! :P
do as SD says. i'd make it go around corners properly first before making power.
