  1. There are no wires to swap! The bus works by varying resistance on each function. For example you press the Vol+ button, this puts 2k2 on the bus, you press Vol- and this puts 1.8k on the bus (examples only). The only way to fix this (as writeen above in an earlier post) is to locate and switch the SMD resistors on the Seek+ and Seek- buttons. Of course this is not going to be practical for most so i would trust Auspack to come up with a solution from the chinese manufacturer. It should operate the same way as the OEM unit did irrespective of any logic. Edit - The speedo is interfaced with the stereo for the ASM function to operate in the OEM head unit.
  2. I never installed the TV Antenna but i did install the GPS Antenna inside the dash board on top of one of the centre vents (another member suggested this). It works flawlessly and is totally out of sight. Whilst the steering wheel controls work it is annoying having them work in reverse. It is documented that the ACC is fully compatible with the steering wheel controls however this is not quite correct. I am sure they will get this small but annoying problem resolved soon.
  3. Finally went to use the seek buttons today - and they're backwards! My radio reception sounds alright though, but I think I'll double check the pins anyway. Did you end up with a resolution to the backwards buttons? If not I'll shoot an email through to Rob so there's more than one customer waiting on a fix. bok No fix as of yet. Please do tell Rob asap that you have the same problem.
  4. Here is a link - http://rapidshare.com/files/122782141/IGO8_PNA.zip.html (It should have the sys file configured for you already) Now you need to find the Australian Maps file to go with it.
  5. My loom had the blue (antenna amplifer) and the cutoff grey/black wire pushed in the wrong way around. I simply looked at the service manual pages to workout the pinouts. I have been told by others that their looms were fine so i assume it was just an isolated case.
  6. LOL - I'll have to cut some holes in the floor (Flintstone style) to get it up a hill!
  7. I'm sorry but no-one is going to hand out the software to you. We all have spent days looking and downloading ourselves to get it working. It's all a frustrating but a learning excersize.
  8. Google IGO8 PNA. There are many sources for it online
  9. Looks like i spoke too soon. The loud noise between the screen and dashboard is back and this morning (very cold) it was horrible. I think this car has to go as i am not returning it for the 16th time. Any suggestions for other makes and models?
  10. I could do with some help. I have a copy of IGO8 aand Aussie Maps but not sure if it's the right one. If it is how do i get this to work on the AVC? Oh, radio reception issue resolved. It was an issue with two transposed pins on the supplied loom. Check your messages. Once you have the right version installed, it really is a peace of cake - trust me! All done. I'n now running IGO8, Finean and Route66 on the one SD Card. You don't happen to have an Australian language file for IGO8 do you?

  12. Where do you find said setting? Having the same problem here.. bok Is your seek buttons on the steering wheel working around the wrong way? a/ with the radio working push the SRC key to go to the main menu. b/ Go to the set up menu in the bottom right hand corner. c/ Where it says RDS push this and turn off. d/ Go back to the radio setting and in the bottom right hand corner there is a ST button which you can push. e/ The unit should now be in Stereo. Greg
  13. The stereo issue was a setting but since the manual is very basic and doesn't mention this setting on how to get to the "ST" function i didn't know it existed. I am waiting for a response from Rob in regards to the transposed seek buttons on the steering wheel and the weak radio reception.
  14. Pickup the unit up for $899.00. After speaking with Auspack the Stereo issue has been resolved. I noticed the tuners are very weak on these units, anyone else notice this? I am wondering if it has something to do with the antenna booster behind the right rear cover (between rear door and window).
  15. I am wondering about the same thing. I looked behind mine this morning and the manual controls ARE electronic. There are no vacumm lines or anything like that there. An electrical connector is all that plugs into the back of it. What we need is someone with a ZR6 to try it in a SX6/ATX.
  16. I had my Auspack unit installed this morning and dissapointingly the skip left and skip right buttons on the steering wheel work the wrong way around. Furthermore i can't find any button to enable Stereo on the radio as it's full time on mono. I have emailed Rob awaiting a response.
  17. Well i thought i would post up some results from my 10 month dilemma i have had with the Aurion. I ended up in contact with the Toyota Regional Office and had a face to face meeting a few weeks ago. I could tell the employee (David) was rather concerned with my complaints and the 5 page report i submitted to him. Shortly after he had arranged for a huge inventory of parts to be shipped to a dealer including a new dash pad (dash board), full console, all front airbags and covers, tweeter grills, various seals, airconditioning valves all new clips and a host of other stuff. David also ensured an open cheque book for the dealer to replace anything they felt neccessary without further questioning or delay. After three days of work i picked up the car and it's as quiet as a mouse. The dashboard no longer can be moved and the console is a tighter then it was when i bought the car. There are no rattles at all and the car feels a pleasure to drive, finally! I should add the dealer was fantastic throughout the entire process (CMI Eastside) and they remained in full contact with me, took the time to come for a drive to hear the complaints and to subsequently fix them once and for all. They also provided me with a free current model loan car over the three days without hesitation. EDIT - The problem is back. It appears that Toyota just cannot fix this car. Off to get some legal advice right now.
  18. I pay $497.00/yr with Rating 1 protection for life and replacement value of $37,500.00 through the RAA in Adelaide. I do have 2 other policies plus RAA Premium which brings it down a bit but i am 100% confident that the RAA will look after me in the event of an accident. My wife had a large accident in her Lancer and the very next day the RAA assessor had been out to the repairer (MMAL dealer crash shop) and approved his quote without hesitation so work started in less then 24hrs from the accident!
  19. I have one of the Auspack units and to my dissapointment all it shows when playing normal CD's is the Toyota Logo and a small line indicating track number, time elapsed etc. At least some other image should be displayed similar to that of the CDC Changer etc..
  20. That yellow stick is known as a "cavity queen" or "yellow snake" and is availible at all electrical wholesalers. I use them all the time to feed cables up wall cavities.
  21. Mine goes back for the 15th time this week to have the entire dash pad (dashboard), entire console, glovebox, airbags and all the trim up the front replaced to see if they fixes the countless squeaks and rattles in my car. I again asked for a new car and still no joy and this was organised after a meeting at the Toyota Regional Office here in Adelaide. I took it up to the riverland over the last 4 days and i almost traded in the car. Just unbeleivable.
