  1. haha u sikc** please let me know how it goes man. I know its easy to take the cover off. just not the rest :P hopefully everything goes well for you man.
  2. will doing this mean i got no filtration? you goin to tafe tommorow? maybe you can show me if you bring your car No it doesnt mean you have no filtration, it just means that its sorta like an SRI i guess, allowing more air into the airbox. if u c me, just come straight to me, and ill take u to the car.
  3. the pipe i think is the snorkel, just leave it their... but look at your pic, on the right handside, about 3/4 of the way down, you will see a silver clip thing, unclip it, and then look at the left side of the airbox, at the back, you should see another one of these silver clips, unclip that aswell, and the push the lid back, and lift, and set it a little to the left, ill take a picture of mine for you soon and show you, that will give an increase in intake sound.
  4. Hey guys, so this is my ZRE 07 model Ascent Pretty much started doing main mods about two months ago. Number Plates NCT.39L Nocturnal or what most people really pronounce it as. Nocternal. So far, have 2x12 Alpine Type R's in boot. ( done March 2008 ) King Springs Lows apparently lowered 30mm all round, but for some reason sits dead flat :P ( July 09 ) 18*7.5 on 225/40/18 Fox Racing R5 ( July 09 ) Wouldn't mind getting some 35 profile later on. If not, i may go 19" looks soo much better. Will probably lower another 20mm all round. 8000k Low beam HID ( 08 ) After Market Fog Lights ( July 09 ) 16000k HID Fog Lights ( July 09 ) After Market Alarm System ( June 09 ) 35% Tint ( Nov 07 ) was too light, soo my tinter said he could put another layer of tint, apparently he put 20% ( June 09 ) onto the 35%, but it doesnt really look like it. 18metres or something like that, of chrome styling strips. ( June - August 09 ) Removed all Badges Slimline Weather Shields imported from the UK. Used to have blue parkers in 08, but have lost the bulbs under the headlight casing, so getting some white ones soon. Oh and, to any one out their after an Intake, and if your too tight, the best thing to do is unclip the lid of the airbox, and sit it a little to the side, i will take a picture for anyone interested. But it makes a huge difference in the amount of sound produced at 3000rpm, and has this really nice growl in third at 1-2000 rpm. Highly Recommended, probably the best free mod anyone can do. Finally did my exhaust, its a 2.25" catback, Dual Outlet ( 4" tips on either side ) it screams :P ( Oct 09 ) Future mods, White walls LED Mirror Indicators Front Lip LED Angel Eyes Tinted Tail Lights Red painted Brake Calipers
  5. found the pic site, its off a japan auction site. sorta like ebay. http://page12.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/p166862380
  6. Hey guys, i was just wondering if anyone knew if we could get the Side Mirror Indicator Covers for the ZRE Corolla Hatch. Or atleast if anyone knew if for example, maybe the Hilux / or even corolla sedan (ZRE) mirror covers would fit the ZRE Hatch. Been searching around, and the closest thing i could find was the corolla sedan mirror covers on ebay from the US. But i am not sure whether they are the same size or even if they will fit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys.
  7. Haha, are you serious ? its prewired ?, and what do you mean by main harness. I just bought the fog light kit from mars warehouse earlier today :P :( But atleast it comes with the relay, the lamps, screws, and push switch ( didnt want the oem stalk ) So now tomorrow i'll just order the shrouds / plastic covers.
  8. hey man, there are aftermarket kits available... and the castle hill kit i got quoted 1300$ installed or something a while back, if you look hard enough you will find the quotes i posted here somewhere. if you go to this site http://www.ozeparts.com.au/ you will be able to find the fog light covers for the hatch, i will be purchasing these in the next few days. but also if you go onto ebay, and search corolla fog, you will see a 'mars performance' item, which is the corolla sedan fog light kit, with everything needed for the foggies. however, i read somewhere that the sedan and hatch have the same fog lights, just the cover is different, so i will be buying this kit aswell in the next few days, and hopefully everything turns out alright ... the link to the ebay item is here. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MARS-OEM-FOG-LIGHT-...93%3A1|294%3A50 EDIT: so basically if you want to wait a week or something, i will hopefully have everything installed. and will let you know how it goes. Just a quick question to the more experienced. Will any auto-electrician be able to install the fog light kit for me. Not very technical minded myself, so dont want to do it by myself. But, i wouldnt mind paying someone from the forum to help me install it. Will pay by cash, and/or case of beers. ( Don't mind driving, sydney area, city, ryde, parramatta, PM me if you can help. ) Thanks in advance, and it will be greatly appreciated.
  9. yeh i know. i think they gave me a dodgey price, so i sent them an e-mail aswell. i might call next week again, and let them know that their price does say 425$ for the kit, but the guy said because it didnt originally have foglights, it requires wiring to be done, and a switch in the dashboard, but that wouldnt cost more than 100$. plus it is an australian site, by a company located in australia, why would it be in another currency? ? ? ( btw not having a go at you, just shocked about the price aswell). so yeh, feel free to give them a call, and get a quote, also tell them that it states 425$ for the COMPLETE KIT... so i dont know. ill give them a call by the end of the week. EDIT: Just got a reply from e-mail heres it in full - bar the hyphens for personal details. Hi Reza Thank you for your enquiry $425.00 for the lamp kit $150.00 to fit total $575.00 All prices are GST inclusive. I have a 2007 Toyota Corolla Ascent Hatch, ZRE152H, and I am after some fog lights for this model. I saw, your parts website, and I saw the ad for the Driving/Fog Lamp Kit, for this model. I was wondering if you would do installation and how much it would cost?. Kind Regards Reza J
  10. Hey guys, just got quoted by Castle Hill Toyota, roughly 950$ to get foglights for the ZRE Ascent. not including 100 - 200$ labour. soo all up roughly 1200$ just for foglights. EDIT: oh and took it to service at Sydney City Toyota, but they said it was "illegal" for them to install foglights, on a car that didnt have foglights, and then tried to direct me to the RTA site, to the foglight section, or something or rather, where it states that the use of foglights when not needed is illegal :P ... and then told me to go read some articles, on "the making of foglights illegal" ... so yeh what a laugh. ... and yes i know you can get fined for unaccepted use of foglights, but come on. Anyway, if you guys could give a castle hill toyota parts a call, maybe try and get a better price. to make it easier for you, heres their number :P 8831 8831
  11. I might be able to make it. Depends on Exam Timetable. Will be driving, might already have full car, so sorry guys. Accomodation plans? Rent Holiday House, or F1?
  12. I actually think the eyelids are pretty sleek. good work on being the pioneer.
  13. I would also be keen aswell, but im in sydney. I'm guessing they haven't told you the price?. Could you find out please?
  14. I'm actually also thinking of putting 19x8's on my ZRE, but not 100% sure yet, they tend to cost alot more than 18, and dont want the ride to be too sh*t, if its bearable i will go with it ( coupled with some springs ofcourse).
  15. if you can get a good grab on the wiring just after the brown thing that holds the parkers, you can twist the wires a little, and it should pop out... well thats how i did it .... but the number plate lights, are sooo much worse, i kept trying, till i could actually not lift a screw driver anymore :P. if there is a trick, please let me now.
  16. anyone know if there are coilovers out for the ZRE, in australia ? been looking, but seems no one has updated their catalogues yet :P ?
  17. Hey guys been looking for some new brakes, for the new model corolla, dont want anything over the top, just something to stop me quicker, without having to get into flooring the brakes and activating ABS, was thinking of putting them in after i get new rims, but wanted to know what my options where, in brand and price. I have been looking, but i guess i don't know where to look , MEGA-NOOB.
  18. Honestly, the mob on this forum are becoming di*kh**ds, seems like you don't understand, that with the new p plater laws we cant get a turbo, or high performance car, or let alone, do a single engine mod to our car, ( well u can, such as cai and etc), but if u get pulled over, and the cop knows his sh*t then your gone(even if you do have a cai, you can still get shat on for it), honestly, let the bloke do whatever he wants, so what if he may have crappy ideas. And yes he did ask for your opinion, but you don't have to flame him for it. So what he likes stickers, so what he likes to "Rice" his car up, i can honestly find better "riced" cars than yours, that look better, and probably perform better :P, so stop winging ;). So what, you have bad days at work, at school, at home, don't bring your tension-release sessions here, go do something useful with your life, like taking a walk. Yes there is a freedom of speech, but to a certain extent, if you haven't grown up yet, and not learnt this yet, then may someone help you. I'll say this again, just to make sure it goes through your head. He did, ask for your opinion, but you don't have to flame the bloke for it, you can give constructive criticism you don't always have to treat people like sh*t. Know, yes maybe he has made some not needed threads about what not, but so what, get over it, and stop dwelling over the past. Honestly if you cant make a constructive criticism post, then don't make one, or when you do, and your replying to him asking for your opinion, then you can simply say, Nah not my TYPE, I Don't Like. You don't have to all get ****ty about it. EDIT: for leroy's sake, the stripes probably do not look good in the photoshop, but could look good / have potential to look good, if worked on, blue a bit darker, and a bit thinner, plus if goes onto the roof aswell. now its bronze :P
  19. i reckon you should go for the stripes, its not my style, but if its yours why not. maybe make the stripes go all the way through, but also a bit thinner, and alot less brighter, they may actually end up looking good.
  20. i know its a bit late, but i think i was a bit late, and didnt get to see the picture .... i would actually like to see what the gt stripes would look like... as they are also on the xr4, and i think "can"/ have the potential to look good, so if you could re-post the photo again, that would be great, .... plus take it as it comes, and dont listen to anyone else.... give it a try for yourself, and you like, keep, if you dont, then just remove, remember " be your own pioneer" ... ( sorry if i stole that not sure if i did or not ) anywayz tc.
  21. yeh they are pretty hard, if u can get into the wiring behind the fitment thing, and just turn it, it should be enough, but also try and use your other hand, to push a couple of things out of the way, for the drivers side, try and unclip the water spray thing, for where you put water into, might make a bit more room, but yeh, you sort of have to try and get underneath everything to get to fitment to turn it. P.S. expect to see alot of cuts on your hands after :P
  22. mmm would have... but didnt want to affect the stock wiring / harness, and didnt have a solder... btw update... still no HID's even after Relay. Big problems coming my way, going to have to fork out some more money ... grrrr.
