If you are leaking oil you are going to have 5+ litres along the underside of the car which is going drip where ever you park. Its a lot of oil to lose in a short amount of time.
I have a gen4 V6 Camry with 208,000km on it and it doesnt use any oil!
As a short term thing the thicker oil is probably worth a try. How many kms have you travelled since the problem started?
-
Did you or the people who service your car change brands of oil around the time this started to occur?
I had something similar with my first car were I changed to a Castrol oil and it all of a sudden started to use oil. It became a case of going to the servo to check the fuel and fill up the oil. It also didnt appear to be visibly burning the oil.

With a US sourced TRD supercharger kit and the standard 4psi pulley you will get 155kw @ front wheels. Did it on my 99 Touring Camry no issues with the engine.

You can try Osram Night Breakers. I have a set which I bought on ebay from a UK seller. They have the standard wattage but are brighter and make a it a bit better. The down side is that they will only last about half the life of the OE Philips bulbs.
I think PIAA also have something similar.

If it didnt need to be there Toyota wouldnt fit it in the first place. I think you should find another one.

The ER300's held there own in a tyre test carried out by Wheels or Motor a couple of years ago. This was in a 17inch size but it was against "performance tyres" I think they came 3rd overall.
Not everyone needs or requires a tyre for cutting laps at QR. The wet weather performance of the Adrenalin's is not equal to other performance tyres either.

I'd love to know why they would create such a pointless pipe that has a rubber hose in the middle - given the pipe doesn't flex as it's all attached to the engine!
I just found my Aurion has this same part, and there are already signs of the rubber pipe starting to become damaged. I might just get the part separately and have them install it at next service, or see if I can get it replaced under warranty as I have contacts in this particular dealer who might be able to help. I think it's simply too risky to just wait for it to occur... I don't want to be seen like a typical Holden or Ford that is seen constantly broken down on the side of the road with the bonnet up! Not to mention the mess leaking oil would create through the still-shiny engine bay :P
I don't think going by what DJKOR has said that it is worth the pain of trying to DIY... I got the Aurion with the hopes that I would no longer have to do what I despise doing so much on the ancient old Mitsubishi Magna!
Just make sure they fit the updated part as there have been cases in the US where they pipe has been replaced under warranty but it was done with the old type.
Note: This part will not fit a TRD as the supercharger belt is in the way. The pipe is a different shape as it goes backwards and down the front of the head. It does still have a rubber hose in the middle so the same issue will more then likely be present over time.

They originally come with Michelins which can cost around $200+. If you are someone who uses their car for commuting either of those would be a good all round tyre.

Who can sell TRD grill.
I would to buy.
Please read the FAQs in the Aurion section.
-
I would mod the standard grill so that the TRD one sits in it. Just use the V for the lower fixings to the bumper and the TRD grill fixings for across the top.
For me I would have the TRD grill in body colour and the modified standard grill piece in black to make the sportivos black accents.

Yes I believe so its as if he was just turning the ignition on. I will give it a try later to confirm.
I find that my mobile phone can cause interference.

Thanks for the info... when it die on me,it will fire up straight , once when i park it at car park and when i try to start the car the engine just won't fire up, the dash light and power all come up except the engine, i tried couple times and suddenly it fires up.. i don't know what's going on...
Radio/electrical interference can cause issues starting as the key is not recognised. There is a section in the owners manual about it.

There a lot of things in the advert that dont make much sense from the price being to good to be true for a 08 model with extremely low kms to having it listed as 4wd and metallic paint which it isnt being white. I say BUYER BEWARE with this one. Also is the car where the ad says?? Being that it does have VIC plates.

There is one area that you can see a bit the air filter so it is ok. I thought the same thing first time removed/replaced the filter.
Cheers Supa!
I was kicking my self for not taking a picture before hand.
Is my filter dirty? I really don't know. Ive got another 5000K until my next scheduled service.
It will be fine until your next service. The white filter medium doesnt stay white for long!

Yep we saw him. Did a huugggeeee burnout, but he must be a noob at drag racing because he had some trouble staging.
Its an impressively quick car thats for sure! And sounds awesome going down the strip.

Loving the wheel spin :)
I didnt and the traction control was on!
May have to try one more time when I have some new tyres.

Spotted TRD Aurion Browns plains video easy (cant remember the colour, busy eating maccas)
That was probably me :D

A Toyota service dept. will do it for $25-30

just on the cam gears and lightweight pulleys anyone got any info about them?
Waste of money on a stock engine. Plus replacing the standard harmonic balancer with a light weight crank pulley usually ends in disaster.

I hope to be there around 6pm. Car is being serviced today so will need to give it a check over before heading out.

Gee I dont know about this :P
It looks to be 132mm wide and 89mm in height. Seems to be slightly smaller then the area that it sits in.

Hell, it even fits the Gen 3 Camry here in the US with the 1MZ-FE engine, lol.
Actually, it fits the Gen 3 3VZ-FE too, lol. Just needs a few mods. But it actually bolts up perfect to the 3VZ. :)
It won;t work on most of the Gen 5's int he US because they had VVT-i. The non VVT-i ones should work.
Adam our gen5 came with the 1mz without VVTi. No 3mz for us in the Camry.

It may be the reason it was sold/traded in.
Time to accelerate those turbo plans!! Have a look on Toyota Nation as there are a couple of guys on there with 2az turbos. There is also a supercharger kit for the 2az.
