Hi Guys,
What is the cost for this TRD CAI Group Buy and where are you getting them from in the U.S.?
lol~ uve been asking about this CAI since the 2nd GB...
anyway..price is... should be around $31x-320.
LOL!!!
I know hey XploShun.
I've been wanting this TRD CAI for so long but I never get around to confirming my place!
So it's $320 yeah?
Is that including delivery?
Are you still getting them from the eBay seller in the U.S?

mendaciously?? not sure why you would lie about cleaning your wheels, maybe you meant meticulously
anyhow I have some acid wash at work that you literally spray on then wash off almost immediately and they are clean like new!
Leave it on too long and it will eat the wheels!!
Cant remember the name/brand will check it out tomorrow and let you know.
Oops! Apologies for my typo up there...I did mean 'meticulously'!
I think I would be too scared to spray the acid wash stuff on though
Knowing my luck it will damage my wheels!
I too usually pick those tar spots off with my nail but they still leave a bit of a mark behind.
This is what I dont know how to get rid of!

Hi guys,
This is for all the Corolla Sportivo owners out there who mendaciously keep their stock wheels clean, (me being of of them!)
I was wondering if anyone has any special way or methods that you can get behind and clean the rim.
I manage to do ok and get rid of all the grime, but I still have some yucky old black spots that just wont go away.
Does anyone have the same problem and can recommend a cleaning product to remove this?
Cheers

tensioner is non adjustable but yeh if its a belt squeel itll be that
putting grease on the belt sometimes helps strangely enough but it rarely works for long
Sorry if this sounds like a silly question but where is the tensioner belt located????
-
yep, get the power steering fluid flushed and see if it helps things.
You can do it yourself too, there are plenty of how too guides floating around the internet on what to do.
The service manual actually covers it pretty well also.
Thanks Dylan, will def check out the power steer fluid and do the flush out :)

I've missed something... where do you thing the chirp is coming from?
Chirp and squeal
Chirp and thud
Chirp and knock
Simple, unidimensional chrip coming from <insert here>
Simple, unidimensional chrip coming from the fan belt

Hey guys,
Just noticing that my steering is a little stiff and hard of late.
I thought it was because of my low tyre pressure but once I put air in the tyres it didnt really do much difference.
Usually my steering could be done with ease, now u sorta have to put a bit more grunt into it.
Could it be power steering or it's fluid?
Car was last serviced in Dec '07 by Toyota.

**BUMP**
Still need some help on this one ;)

Get them to adjust the accessory belt tensioner. If that doesn't solve it move onto a new belt then a new tensioner.
Thanks SuperDave.
Where abouts is the accessory belt tensioner?
Can you do it yourself?

Hey guys,
I've noticed that when taking off I am getting a cherping kinda sound when taking off and in low revs.
When my Sportivo was taken for it's Toyota service I mentioned it to them and the mechanic told me he lubricated the fan belt.
Im not much of a mechanic or techo but does this sound right?
Any help would be great.
Cheers

Is it a good idea to use a steam cleaner on ur factory rims though?
Might look good at first but it may end up with defects afterwards like dry patches, removal of clear coat and blotches perhaps?
-
The face-lift front lip def come painted guys :)
Just follow Big Bum's part numbers.
Seen them in the flesh and all and they are almost half price compared to what they were say 12 months ago.
They are a great price considering its a simple fit and install without the hassles of getting it sprayed and colour matched.

Those black spots are either tar or brake dust eating thru the top coat...
Try and scratch the marks off with your fingernail and see how you go...
Degreaser is safe on wheels, after all, it doesn't effect the paint in your engine bay ;) ;) ;) ...
So does that mean those black spots cant be removed?
Surely they can be as they dont feel like they have eaten into the alloy at all

I use ArmorAll leather conditioner and the shine fades VERY quickly too.
I'm going to try what punk_rolla suggested too. Thanks mate
Rad.
It is...TEH SHIZ.
I've run out though. Time to go back to Saddleworld (Last time I was there the girl asked me what sort of horse I have. I told her I had 180 of them, and that they're always at my feet.)
Where is Saddleworld?
I want to try this stuff out!
Are there any known side effects on the leather?
-
try spraying on engine degreaser, leave it on, then get the high pressure cleaner out and give it a shot
is the engine degreaser safe to use on the factory painted wheels though?
-
Still trying to get rid of those darn black spots that are seen within the inner rim of my stock sportivo wheels (behind the spokes)
Does anyone have any recommendations or provide feedback on how to clean and remove these yucky black spots? :(
I have used Meguairs Bug n Tar remover but it didnt really help.
Any help would be great as I want my wheels squeeky clean :)
Cheers

Do any of you guys know of a workshop manual for the install of this TRD CAI for FACELIFT (2005) 2ZZ SPORTIVO'S?
-
Where r u guys getting the TRD short shifter from?
And what is the install procedure like?
Cheers guys :)

Hi Guys,
Ive been trying to find the best procedure and way to clean my Sportivo leather seats but I cant quite get the
expected results.
I have been using Meguiars Leather Foam and work fantastic upon the first initial giving an excellent shine coat.
However, after leaving the product to dry and soak in a little, once u sit on the seats the shine and product disappears.
It's like the foam hasn't even soaked in as it leaves a body shaped mark on the seats once you get off them.
Has anyone had this same problem or experienced this same issue?
If anyone can recommend a fix or work around for this that would be great.
Cheers
Cheeky I get the same from using the Meguiares foam, it's great at first but it doesn't seem to last very long...
Hey TRDYUS,
It's weird why the product dosent last very long....it could be because perhaps our leather is too new to absorb the product contents in???
