  1. Hi guys,

I have a plastic sign that has my business adverstising on one of my cars and it is now time to sell my car but the only problem I have is that the plastic signage was actually glued down on the car by the signwriting company.

I am now just wanting any feedback or any information for the best possible methods or procedures to remove this from my car without damage its precious paint work.

If there are any panel beaters or anyone who has any expertise in this type of thing or who has perhaps

experienced this same problem I would really appreciate your assistance.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Cheers

  2. Does wax have any cutting agents in it?

    wax is wax therefore no.

meguiars scratch x does since it cuts to eliminate fine scratches.

meguiars nxt i am also using since it is new age stuff.

for wax i swap between using meguiars and not so popular t-cut color fast? i think that is what it is called. i like the idea the wax is the same colour as your car. so if black, you get black wax plus a chip stick for any chips around the car.

i found that the colour wax blends in and hides a lot of small marks around the car.

i like the sound of the chip stick....where can u buy that from kcorro?

  4. have a look at the plastic pop out screw on the bottom of the panel that the passengers right knee would rest on (at lest thats my technical description of that area). I had the EXACT same symptoms as what you described and I found that that screw was loose, allowing the panel to vibrate. Used to drive me nuts till i fixed it.

At least thats one of the rattles eliminated...

    hey shadow,

thanks for your reply. sounds like you have experienced the same problem.

only thing is though, i cant see the plastic pop out screws as u have described.

the only plastic screws i have are those on the foot well kick panel down below.

there are plastic round clips under the glove box area but do not have grooves to adjust or tighten :(

let me know if i am blind or missing something! :)

    cheers mate

  5. Hi Guys,

After searching the forums for this particular topic I didnt get to find my exact answer so I was hoping I could get more feedback from this new thread instead.

It seems I am having a constant vibrating noise coming from the passenger left side.

Even when the car is in idle you can hear the vibrating noise....kinda like a something is rattling in the glove box yet the noise sounds like it is coming from the air vents, dash, lower window/door frame.

When I applied my hand on the dash and its surrounding areas the vibrating noise had stopped.

Could this be the same issue where it's related to the foot rest kick panel by tightening those plastic screws?

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

    Cheers

    :)

  7. Hi Guys,

I have been noticing that everytime I go to clean my stock stivo rims that the back/inner part of the rim

has small black spots and bits of dirt which I can't get to come off.

Ive tried using a soft head toothbrush, Meguiars 'Hot Wheels' spray, mild detergent and a sponge to try and get rid of these small marks but nothing. :(

Was just wondering if anyone was experiencing this same sort of thing or you can advise the best way

to clean and get rid of these markings. Perhaps a specific wheel cleaning product?

    Cheers

    :)

  8. Hi Guys,

Sorry if this is a lame or dumb question but I have recently noticed that whenever I take off or down gear to 2nd gear and take off I hear a churping kind of sound.

I was just wondering if this was normal ?

At first I thought it was perhaps I was still getting use to the clutch and not giving enough throttle

Would appreciate anyones feedback or comments.

    Cheers
