  1. Get the ZR6 mate................hehehehe.
  2. Not so long ago we told you to the TRD Aurion in both street and race versions, but the guys from the Toyota Racing Development decided to go further and compete in a very popular motorsport in Australia: Drag Racing! No joke, this is the Ultimate TRD Aurion, and believe it or not, it's still using the 6 cylinder engine good for 1750hp! maybe i am looking to deep, but to me that means it's the core engine that we get, but hell, we all know that it would tricked out to the max.
  3. http://www.nihoncar.com/en/news-810-The+Au...ralia!.html YIKES!!! They've done a rwd conversion!!!! Whats the bet it's just a silhouette shell just like NASCAR (and the GAS Camry, for a more local example) running a tubular spaceframe chassis and 2JZGTE. So basically nothing to do with an Aurion at all, except that it looks a bit like one. The article does say that it is using the same donk as ours (2gr-fe) and turbocharged but f$%k knows what they would have had to have done to the internals to get that sort of output.
  4. i do a fair bit of night shift so driving home in the pitch black and slightly fatigued is normal, and I reckon that last bit about the fog lights not helping at night is a load of $hit (not you directly mate, but whoever came up with that theory). I find that with them on I can light up the immediate area in front of the car and to the sides much better, this allows me to see pot holes and animal on the side of the roads much better than with them off. Just my opinion. I have my lights on all the time, black and all, i have been nearly speared into that many times in a white car let alone a black car, any extra bit of protection and I am all for it.
  5. Having just lowered my SX6, I wouldn't change my new setup for the world. Looks 1000x better and I can take corners and roundabouts under power with ease, it has taken me a few days to see the fruits of my hard earned $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ but I can now see the difference.
  6. i think the sportivos only have strut bracing on the rear, hence why the back seats don't fold down and there's only a ski post back there on them............which has gotten on my nerves recently.
  7. Go with the ZR6, thats my advice.
  8. agreed, the wood grain panelling looks dedset attrocious, a throwback to the 80's if you may.

okay, some better photos. from this to this more side on view next stop, B Boss Eleanors. I know they are becoming a very common rim, but I havent seen anything else out there that tickles my fancy, I think they will really compliment the cars black finish. Now I just have to find a spare $2k.....................

    My Aurion

Apologies that these photos aren't the best, it was a tad dark after I washed "Black Betty". She FINALLY got lowered today with Pedders Sports Ryder Springs, dropped it by about 40mm, noticeable visually for me at least. The ride comfort is still good, I can't say that the handling is all that much better, it didnt seem to do alot in that regards, a tad disappointed but I havent really "given" it to it around any real decent bends, so I will try it out tomorrow. from this http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii17/be...pg?t=1213259869 to this http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii17/be...pg?t=1213260019 more side on http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii17/be...pg?t=1213260062 sorry that these phots aren't great, I will get some more in the morning. I am also having trouble getting the photos to appear in this page, the forum doesn't seem to like photobucket anymore.................

  17. i will give it a go on the way to work tomorrow, i live near the highway so it's all good. I reckon 6 secs...................
  18. Thee 7.4 secs for the 0-100km/h, I swear if i flog mine it gets up there quicker than that.......I don't know who did those official figures but me thinks it was either a grandma or the car had 5 adults sitting in it.
  19. you need to put your photos onto a website like photobucket then with your post in here, put the URL of your pictures in here by clicking on the "add attatchments" part at the top of the reply area, that is where you put your photo URL........ good luck
  20. yeah I already removed all the ballasts and bulbs when it happened for the first time because I didn't wanna blow the bulbs. Also installing HID definately would not be acceptable if I have some problems with my headlights so yeah, removing the HID was my first move when the condensation problem came up and I thought it's because of HID but it wasn't. I replaced with original bulbs and it still happens. :( In this case, making the warranty claim is the last option that I have and I will do that on Monday. And I think I am able to get the warranty because I actually turned everything back to original, since I only have done HID and they are all removed now. Everything under bonnet is still same as original. I've done the parking sensor on the back bumper but I don't think it's gonna void the warranty cuase there's nothing under bonnet. Thanks for advice. :D If you didn't have a problem before the HID installation, I think you are being a tad nieve if you think that you didn't cause this problem. The toyota dealer are going to be able to know as well that you have tampered with the headlight seal, I honestly doubt you will get a warranty claim out of this.
  21. Toyota pride all the way!!! I only retorted because I honestly thought that there is nothing wrong with putting pictures up of your pride and joy in here, seeing as though it is the Aurion folder..............You have to admit, without trying to offend or generalise, most of us Aurion owners would be a tad older than some in the corolla folder (family people, needing a tad bigger car and all), which pretty much lends us to having absolutely FA spare time to filter through the Members ride section. I come in here once a day for 5-10mins, i don't have the time for much more, I want to be able to see pictures of A's with relative ease and that means that to help me, they need to be posted in here. I wasn't trying to be overly negative, but I thought it was a tad harsh to bring up that this should be posted in the members ride section...............
  22. The only problem i have had with mine is with the CD/head unit. Sometimes the volume knob on it won't work, then sometimes it won't let me feed a cd into it, there is weird text on the screen some mornings............has a servicing in about 3 months time, I want something done about it.
  23. I would rather that he posts pictures in here though to be honest, saves us from having to filter through 7375839010 corollas to try and find piccies of Aurions in the members ride setcion, i say, put them in here old chaps and keep 'em coming. the registry section is there for a reason as is the members rides section. If you do not post in the right section the mods can move it for you free of charge Not trying to argue, but I own an Aurion, I couldnt care less what people do with their Corolla, Caldina or Kluger, hence why I don't go to their section/and or members area because I don't have the time to sift out all the other cars in order to find an Aurion. The members ride is all well and good, but if he wants to put it out there mainly for us Aurion owners, then it would make sense for him to throw it in here. I don't think many of us Aurion owners are $hitty with him for putting it in here, in fact I think you will find 90% of us would be actually happy that he did put it in the Aurion folder, because, let's face it, it is an Aurion.....
  24. each to their own, but i aint a fan of that front grille, too 'open" for mine.
