If you want my advice, I'd say don't bother changing the speakers for starters. For some reason, the headunit on the new toyotas (Corolla and Rav 4 as far as I know) have weird logic behind them. The EQ doesn't quite have the proper balance. Listen to it for yourself, use the fade option and listen to the speakers at the front, then fade it to the back. I don't know why but the ones at the back sound absolutely awful. I went to a Autotainment and they recently did a RAV 4 (same headunit as the new Corolla Conquest that I have), and they changed all the speakers and powered it via a 4 channel amp. Still sounded crap and customer wasn't satisfied, so the bloke ended up paying an extra 300 and bought a half decent headunit and apparently blew the customer away :) Obviously, thats what they said. Really though, if you're after good quality music, I personally would change the headunit first as well. The back speakers wouldn't make much of a difference...and if you're going to get new speakers at least power them with an amp. I've been going around looking for a new sound system as well..

lol u will find that the middle of ur tyre wears out well before ur sides die.. your tyre placecard recommends 32psi all around and usually add 10% to tht to improve handling and fuel economy (apprantely) so 34 is prob what u wanna run it on normally but 42?! dude.. on a cold day maybe you can get away with it.. imagine on a hot day and a long run.. it will get up to maybe :S 48 psi? ouch! deflate those tyres!!! have them on 34 or smething but on the day put them up to 38 or 42 if u like :) PM ME YOUR FULL NAME PLEASE!!! BEFORE THE END OF THE WEEK or i would hv to make up some random name for u my full name in asian. sook mi gud :)

What he said. If you're doing city driving you're not going to hit 700km. Over taking at full throttle uses less fuel than having to propel the car to start moving from still motion. Basically, like Kenneth said, unless you're driving 100kph (or 80kph, results show on average you get the most km out of travelling at this speed) over a long duaration, you're not going to get 700+. Use the functions on your trip computer and you can see how many liter's you're using per 100km. So best thing to do is, don't thrash your car if you're really fuel conscious.

i don't drive a stivo but i doubt it'll get 700km. driving conservatively means keeping the rev under 3500rpm. hitting lift 'only' 8 times in one tank isn't being conservative mate. i wonder how you drove on the previous tank if u say u drove quite hard. thats my 2 cents.

Personally I am very interested in the full potential the Dual VVTi can make to the 2zr. I believe with even a little bit of tweak here and there on the timing of the variable valve alone (keeping the emission standards in mind) it can better the 100kw that the engine is currently putting out. I'm looking all over the internet as well to see whether there are any mods available to date, but when I was in Hong Kong a month ago and asked a few shops they said parts were still not available as it is still quite a relatively new model. I'm happy to wait it out as long as the improvements the mods give are of significance. Regards, Jase

Speeding on the road is bad, but sometimes when you're not paying attention you can go 10kph above limit easy. As much as I hate people speeding on the roads (I actually drive like a grandma most of the time), I must admit I too at times go over the limit. My advice, get a Whistler Pro 78 scanner.
