  1. I would happily join you in the mankini fest. :D
  2. Oh btw count me in. Simone might come along as well with her cupcakes for everyone to share and enjoy :P
  3. Considering all the posts on this forum asking for help you certainly have a funny way of getting some highly experienced installations and ideas on this forum. you my friend are a idiot First and foremost, I am not your friend. Secondly, I am not an idiot. Out of respect for the forum, you could have contributed to certain questions people have posted before bombarding us with your 'expertise' on audio installs. To me and the general forum users, you're just here trying to get business. I will personally make sure none of the WA crew will come to you for your great rates, no doubt about that. As a matter of fact, you're the idiot. Moreover, you definitely won't be my friend. So bid farewell, good day to you sir. ;) Yes I was after business only, that was the whole point. You did not have to reply with sarcasm on your first post, a small explanation would have sufficed. The friend suggestion was purely intended to provoke your small mindedness, which apparently succeeded. Sir is also a title of respect, but I will not waste my time thanking you for that courtesy. Hey, you're right!! It is respect and courtesy. Although, for you to not thank me just shows the low grade of person you are ;) I'm sorry you don't take sarcasm too well, I didn't know it made people upset!! Ah well, I'm sure you can build a bridge and get over it...or not. P.S. RoM2nV: LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! :D

  5. And I have been in the love industry for 8 years and very experienced in bed, specializing in the motion of reverse cowboy. You don't see me advertising my skills on this forum with 400 odd post to my name, let alone being your first one <_<
  6. there is no price, they don't sell an intake system for the zre's, becuase no one has enquired with them, they haven't bothered to make one up. CES have since said to me, that they can do a custom job for people that want to take their car to them, but if you want them to send you a kit then they need to have enough interest to actually make a kit for the ZRE. if there is enough interest for people who actually WANT to get a kit for their car, not just have thought about it, or are interested then they will make one up. is there anyone here who is actually wanting a kit? Yes I do, within a reasonable price. Otherwise, if it's too expensive I might as well get one made in Perth.
  7. I am. But I own the ZRE Sedan. So I'm not sure if engine bay space available would be different? Let me know. I am definitely keen on the results. Sadly, I'm in WA. Otherwise I'd have given them my car to do tests on. Please notify them on my behalf to find out the differences between the engine bay space in a sedan and hatch. Cheers, Jase
  8. I have money to spend, but not a gambler. I'm more of a "putting money where I know works" kind of guy :P
  9. The 'R' just stands for right hand drive. So that logic might mean 'H' is for hatch. Did they make a sedan/wagon/other shape Auris somewhere in the world? i think that the sedan in aus is also a zre152 becasue it uses the same 1.8 litre engine. Just to clarify that too. Yes we have the Auris in Australia, but also the sedan equivalent. The Asian version (apart from Japan) equivalent is called the Altis, but Australia decided to keep the Corolla brand name. In Japan, many variations of the Corolla exist to my knowledge. From what I can gather, the Fielder is the wagon version. Also, the Axio in Japan is the our Corolla Sedan version offered only in Japan too. So my guess is we got the watered down version of the Sedan. Just a guess!
  10. Well, let's get this thread back on track so here goes! These are a couple pictures of my missus (who makes the WA TOCAU crew cupcakes on occasional meets - especially for Jeremy) and I on our trip around Asia this time last year. #1. Riding in the Space Wheel, Ocean Park, Hong Kong. #2. Great Wall, Beijing. P.S. Trying to out do Simo and you, Nellie. :P
  11. To answer your question in a simple way, yes you can buy a CAN BUS to allow access to steering wheel controls but you'll need to purchase it on top of when you buy the HU. As for the wiring, I did mine a few months back with a mate of mine. The new Toyota wiring loom was not available as the new cars have changed their colours. If the lack of availability is still the case, then I'd suggest you to get it professionally installed (only costs $80 or so) and saves you from screwing around. Took my mate and I over 3 hours to match each wire then splice and solder etc. As for your stock HU, it was tuned to maximize the speakers that they gave you. If you alter your system (changing speakers or adding a sub etc) it will not recognise the alteration you've made...i.e. you can't tune it. It does not allow equalisation which means you can't make your soundwave as flat as possible meaning one frequency will stand out above the other significantly. In your case, adding a sub will mean massive bass and no melody (treb or mid). Coming from a classical piano background, I'm sure you'd understand why I'm insistent on correct sounding systems.
  12. Hahahah yeah the quaddy they used on the ES300's. 3VZ-FE. I use to thrash the shizzle outa that car too, except its auto so i can't redline it..until it overheated cos the radiator decided to bow out. fixed it and now its my old man's vehicle for doing the dirty work like towing and beating the bushy area and so forth. for man that engine never dies. it overheated like i swear...possibly 10 times whilst i've been driving. smoke comes out yadiyadiya and it's still alive today. toyota reliability ftw!
  13. Ohhh trust me before you do that go get a decent HU with RCA output to replace your stock headunit. Unless you want to redundant your left right balance and use telephone wires to hook it up. and your system will be balls deep in terms of sounding like absolute dog crap.
  14. spotted ken. sitting in his work desk not doing work. instead going on tocau.

It was the same deal with 9th gen with the E120 for Japan and E130 for oversea market) Your information is not quite correct. There are two body codes for the Corolla and related vehicles, but they are not for JDM and export markets. To break down the VIN/Model codes: The first two letters (ZR, AZ, NZ etc.) are the engine family. For other Toyota vehicles and previous Corolla generations this is not usually an exact reference to the engine family but simply a related reference code. For the ist/xD/Urban Cruiser the ZS and NZ engines become ZC and NC for example The next letter is the body type, for the Corolla and related vehicles this is the E-body. In practice this is merely for classification purposes, e.g. the last Celica officially being a T-body but in practice more E-body, although the two are now closely related anyway. The next two numbers designate basic versions of the model type, e.g. a new generation or other major variant (e.g. T26 for the Allion/Premio twins and T25 for the late Avensis). For the Corolla family this used to be simply generational, but from last generation this was split into the standard body, E12, and the wide body, E13. In that generation the Corolla sedans, wagon, hatchbacks and the Corolla Spacio MPV were E12s, while the Matrix, Vibe and later Corolla Verso were E13s. In this generation, which uses the same platforms, the sedans and wagon are E14s, and the widebody Auris hatchback, Vibe and Matrix wagons and Corolla Rumion MPV (2nd gen Scion xB) are E15s. The next Corolla Verso should also be an E15. The next number refers to the specific engine or powertrain: thus ZRE142 is an E14 with the 2ZR engine, an NZE141 an E14 with the 1NZ engine, ZRE144 is an E14 with the ZRE engine and awd. As you can see the number does not always refer to the engine model number. For the ist/xD it is either 0 for fwd or 5 for awd, e.g. ZSP110 and NCP110 are fwd versions, while NCP115 is awd. There may be another letter immediately after the engine number referring to a minor body variant, e.g. ZRE142G-AW refers to the E14 Corolla Fielder wagon with the 2ZR engine. Further information is coded after the dash. The first letter is another model variant designation. For the Corolla F designates the Corolla Spacio and replacement Corolla Rumion (E12 F and E15 F). The E13 Matrix was the A variant (?), and the Pontiac Vibe the B variant. The sedans are either A (the JDM model formerly sold in other RHD markets and Europe) or G (the Asian-American model now sold in all markets outside Japan). The Auris hatch is now the E15 B model, while the more expensive Toyota Blade, with 2.4 L 4-cyl or 3.5 V6 is the E15 C. Presumably the Matrix and Vibe are now E15 D and E15 E, and the Verso is an E13 H, but I don't have anything to confirm that. The last letters encode further model details, including a more specific body style code (5-seat, 8-seat, 3-door, wagon, van, hatch, sedan etc.), a transmission designation (M manual, T 6-speed auto, A 5-speed auto, P 4-speed auto, X CVT etc.), trim level etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm guessing it is still the E family chassis, but whether a 14 class will fit into a 15 class is another matter. Whilst saying that though, the S runs the 1.8 version we have and the XRS is taken from the AZ engine in the camry 2.4L. In saying that, wouldn't you presume the S over there has the same specs as the one we have here then? I do not see Toyota being so stupid and running an entire different chassis to ship to US while having another 1 here. Not exactly cost effective. And from my thinking, since Super Street damper series of the tein catalog has only 1 for the E14 chassis, would that mean either: an E14 is compatible with an E15 OR the Corolla over in the states is running a E14 Chassis. I got the above quote form this site. http://10thgencorolla.com/forum/showthread.php?t=234
  16. Just an update on those who are keen. I've been browsing a bit on the net for Coilovers, and realised there's a Tein Super Street Damper Coilovers for the corollas put on a Corolla S (equivalent to the 1.8L sedan we have here) I'm still unsure on the part number, but here's the link. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3077866 Any ideas? Went on Tein website but can't find jack. If anyone can shed some light on price and part number and ride feel it'd be great.
  17. Today I saw a black WRX Wagon (New style ones) with a huge f-off exhaust. Funnily enough, it was driven by the local authority enforcers! Really though, if you're driving and you see a car like this and can't tell it's a blueboy then u can't blame anyone else if you got pulled over for doing silly stuff. They stick out like a sore thumb with its antennas that resemble something like a spaceship.
  18. Angelo. He's still got it for sale I'm pretty sure.
  19. yeah! dont want anoter shiat happenin again like the skid pan.. I'll bring my 1995 Camry V6 just for laughs.
  20. A monoblock is a single channel powered amplifier. Usually used for powering subs since all power is concentrated on one channel.. William, a lot of the stuff you ask can be googled. Maybe try google them before asking the questions. you'd be surprised how much information is covered on the world wide web.
  21. yeah sure thing man! but before that i`ll have to get more sleep 1st! :D if not errr..i dont htink i`ll make it in thepic anyway xD speaking of which the stupid camry which decided to stop suddenly that caused massive chaos at the round about (for me at least) =.= try accelerating full on and then you find out you have to brake the next second with a 3m gap... idiots.. ROFL lucky you stopped in time otherwise you'd have been paying for my new rear bumper ^.^
