  1. Hey guys, Have had major cases of technology problem, within a month my work laptop died, monitor died, wireless mouse and keyboard died and desktop PC died. So I has the need to purchase a new computer (tower only). Already forked out to get a new monitor so I need a new tower since the PC i have is now over 6 years old. The list I have at the moment. ATI Radeon HD 4870 or 4890 (Any recommendation guys? Also I found a version of 4870 512mb sapphire but a 1gig version with another engine running it but was $10 cheaper? I didn't understand it....but if you're curious check the www.netplus.com.au website for graphics card) intel quad core 8 or 9 series (any recommndations which one?) a motherboard recommendation? atm looking at asus P5Q3 but if theres anything better please do tell! :P RAM 4gig doesn't matter which brand so no biggie just 2 x 2gig sticks and a 500gig WD HDD my budget is set around $1k but I don't mind couple another couple hundred over or even $1.5k as long as I can justify why I'm paying that. I need such a reasonbly good gfx card due to my work, i spend a lot of time running various programs (design) video/picture for editing. and yes, i admit i do pla the occasional games :) please let me know cheers, jase
  2. U dont have to HATE!!! Theres nothin wrong with my INTAKE!!! My mate also got his done n there isnt n e thin wrong wit his!! Dont HATE guys!!! Not all Carline workers r D1CKs!!! GTL05T. no no !!!! i meant the one i went to.. i just tried to warn people.. but i must say good work of getting one done locally @ least you are enjoying it now while others still have theirs in a box somewhere.. i'm not hating dude!! its just, the Carline place we went to over here in Perth are really pricks. major attitude problems :(
  3. From what I gather it's only Injen (Part: SP2079) and a Weapon-R one from America which is a short ram intake and from what I heard aren't very reputable. As you said it yourself, I'd rather pay more to get something I know has reputation. Not someone welding a few pieces of 2.5" pipes together.
  4. :( I feel your pain mate. Nothings worse than having to lose money for being a guinea pig.
  5. how much? hahaha!!! Already got one done!! LOL!!! It'll sound gunn BRO!!! Good Work Champ!!! ZREs REPReZENT!! Is that the Injen one? it looks like it comes in 2 section? it's not ken. he got it done locally at some shop. jeremy, they sell in the states for about $300-320 USD. prob shipped to hear would be around $400. JDMyard tried to sell me one for $470 which I believe is a total jip.
  6. Building a business is hard. Buying out an existing business with a reasonable reputation would be much easier, especially at this time and day (If you have the money). Everything is set up and in place, all you need is minor twitching of certain areas to make it work the way you want it. Otherwise; First of all you will need to target a wider range of market as you don't want to put all your eggs into one basket. Secondly, you will need to build relationships with other car yards or dealerships (as Dave said) in order to have a constant flow of business. Thirdly, measure your possible fixed & variable costs involved. I don't know about running a workshop, but running an office alone is hectic enough to realise I won't be running my own business for a while. Others things are minis cure compared to the three points mentioned above. At the end of the day, a business is about having turnover & cashflow running through it, coming out with a good profit. The good thing is, you're starting during a time when the world is in a recession and much easier to source parts/employees at a lower price. Just remember you'll probably have a stick it out and break even for a while before the economy takes off again and you start building a huge inflow of work, hence mulla in hand. Get your accounting mate to do some serious number crunching, and if you do decide to go ahead, utilize the internet. Once you get it going, the internet advertising side is virtually free (maybe a few fixed costs @ a couple of hundred dollars per annum) and limitless to what you can do. Good luck!
  7. I swear you have a money tree in your backyard.
  8. just give the rights to me. i'll use my powers wisely and ban all those who oppose capital ruling.
  9. I had to admit I admire ****nal too. Especially their way of playing the football on the ground. That's the way it should be played, not the 'kick-it-up-the-field-and-get-the-biggest-bloke-to-hold-it-up-if-it-gets-to-him' tactic. Speaking of which, it looks like David Villa is going to be moving to Real now... Who do you guys think should Man U buy to replace the loss of Ronaldo? With 80 mil + the 25mil per season budget, i reckon ribery, benzema, valencia, schweinsteiger, Micah Richards or glen johnson to get some speed down the right back flank. :)
  10. OK, so now Kaka has signed for Real and a bid of $80GBP has been accepted for C.Ronaldo. How is this all going to work? An entire line up full of attackers? If the current trend is to continue, it means rumours of David Villa, David Silva are also going to sign. It means, theoretically they have Rual, Huguain, Kaka, C.Ronaldo, Arjen Robben, David Villa, David Silva, Sneijder, Van Der Vaart, Van Nistlerooy, Saviola, Guti, Gago, Diarra, Drenthe...all these players competing for spots in both attack and midfield. I am aware they're trying to sell a few players, let's say they get rid of nistlerooy, saviola, robben which are reported to be. they still have 12 players competing for ....dare i say 7 spots if they play 3-5-2. Do you think they need that many? If they run into debt again will the government bail them out like last time by buying their stadium. i think these figures are bloody ridiculous. altho as a man u fan im glad ronaldo is sold. pest he is.
  11. it only beeps if u drive faster than 20km/h. if it beeps it means you haven't gotten your seat belt on whilst you're driving at a significant speed. why would u be swiping your card for work parking over that speed? :|
  12. +1 Cos I can just wake up when I hear your car and come say hi :) Like the day of the barbecue when I forgot utensils and ran back to get some :P
  13. mish, does this mean i have to vote again? or have u taken down what i said already? winner gets cupcakes from simone. and some bromance from me
  14. rofl wtf. why is my name on the list? im not going... simone is.
  15. Add on to the list. Those of u who can make it 1. J e r e M y 2. Kenneth 3. Haiison 4. Simone 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10.
  16. still not quite a CAI with the length, might still be sucking in hot air, but good work mate. looking forward to hearing what it sounds like.
  17. spillage. Just keep it quiet, because I was trying to mention the fact that this has been organised before and never took off. Sorry but you weren't around long enough to find these threads have come and not enough interest has been mentioned. What I'm trying to do is back up others and let them know of other alternatives, if you have nothing constructive to say then please just don't comment at all. I'm sick and tired of you trying to constantly give other people crap. There are other ways to convince people in getting something developed for their car locally, without degrading someone's social standing.
  18. No offense SB, as you know I'm as reasonable as they come. But with the amount of senseless dissing you should have done this a long time ago. To all those curious about CES, I've mentioned emailing them and I've also called them. I have expressed my interest from day 1 SB started a thread about making a CAI months ago, yet when I called CES they simply said because I'm in WA they can't do anything. Simply get a test car in and they'll finish off their design. Needless to say I felt a little 'disappointed', therefore I never brought the issue up again. For all those who were wondering, SB can confirm I've messaged him plenty of times regarding this issue and nothing has come about either there was not enough interest of there was no test car or the test car decided to pull out. Therefore, if Injen are happy to make one then I'm more than willing to pay for something offshore. I've been quoted ridiculous prices in Western Australia to get a CAI fabricated i.e. $700. As WA boys know, everything over here has inflated prices. Regards, Jase
  19. I'm sure with Jamie's experience, he can perform with any type of seats in the car for michelle ;)
  20. Andy sent it to a few of us WA boys through email... I'm pretty sure it is an Earwig, but never in my 23 years of life have I seen something as big as this in Earwig form. It looks like a cross breed between a roach, a grasshopper and a giant piece of turd. can someone shed light on this? Every time I look at it it sends s shiver down my spine.
  21. If it is an open fist fight (no rules, no gloves, no padding), I say Bruce Lee :)
