  1. It is my understanding that all HIDs retro-fitted in this fashion are illegal. So more comes down to how bright & colour you want to go before you get pulled up. 35W will do the job fine, 55W are brighter yes but up to you. Colour-wise 4300K = more yellow looking 6000K = white 8000+K = blueish Thanks for the post. I have found a few on eBay. Will post details soon. Cheers.
  2. Hi. Which eBay store did you get it from?
  3. Hi all. I have a 2008 ZR6 that I am very happy with except for lights and brakes. First I want to upgrade the lights to the brightest legal possible. I am not a technical person. I had a look at eBay but did not understand much. Could someone please help me in selecting something good and also advice where I can have them installed in the south side (Sunnybank) of Brisbane. Thank you.
  4. Hi. Just to update the status - toyota replaced the faulty vvti and now its working great. No noise. I am so glad i got the extended warranty..
  5. Thanks for that mate.....well it use to make the noise first thing in the morning till I had the 60,000K service. It was ok for a while but its back again. now first starts are ok. and yes, it does sound like that. I will try to record it and upload it. Cheers, Brett
  6. Hi all. My Aurion ZR6 is making the VVTI noise. First start of the day is ok. Generally most other starts make the noise. The longer I leave it off the more noise it makes during the next start. Took it to Toyota and they changed the oil - that fixed the issue for about 1000ks. Toyota dealer told me that it is very common on all VVTI. Any suggestions.
  7. Hi all. My ZR6 has done about 20,000ks and will be a year old in March. Recently I have noticed a weird smell from the Air Conditioner. It's only there for a minute or so at the start. Any one else with this problem.....
  8. Agree to all of above - mostly RWD/AWD - a must for this car. Also lot of rattles and needs better brakes.
  9. Hi, This is a common fault - keep going back to your dealer !!!
  10. Thank you 2007ZR6, I will take your specs to Toyota and see if they can fix mine. They changed the bolts but it has made very little difference. Once again - THANK YOU.
  11. do u seriously think they will say, "Oh yea, toyota had this problem, and yea, we are lame at making cars.. dont worry, giv me few more decades to build a proper car!" but they will "PROFESSIONALLY"(or should i say, the bullsh!t way) says, "Sorry, when you do face this problem in future, THEN book in your car.. coz we do build quality cars" :o my ***** I'm really not to fussed what they say! Overall, I am really enjoying my car, it is very well built, comes with everything I could want and drives a treat! The issue of pulling left is a small one, and whether it gets fixed or not, will not make the car any less enjoyable. I guess you must have had a different opinion / experience which makes me wonder why you have stuck with Toyota. This pulling left issue will result in increased fuel consumption and an increase in tyre wear. Make sure you get it fixed ASAP.
  12. go to http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=13268 re pulling left issue.
  13. Hi Mate, I had my kit installed by Toyota dealer but they must have got the kit from Fulcrum. I am taking my car to Fulcrum for wheel alignment. Toyota covered it under warranty. I guess I'll see how much of a run-around my local Toyota service department is going to give me. The whole warranty thing is the only reason why I will rather have them fit the part (considering TEIN USA quote the part cost at USD$157, I wouldn't think the the SuperPro one at Fulcrum would be that far off). I do have my limits of patience, and I'm not going to keep running back and forward having them do jack all to the car and trying to convince me that everything has been fixed and is fine. If that happens, I will just go to Fulcrum and let the "professionals" do it. For the amount of hours Toyota can waste on me, I'd rather work some overtime and pay for Fulcrum to do it. I'll see how I go. Good Luck mate - let me know how it turns out.
  14. Hi Mate, I had my kit installed by Toyota dealer but they must have got the kit from Fulcrum. I am taking my car to Fulcrum for wheel alignment. Toyota covered it under warranty.
  15. True True Very True my friend. Thank you for showing me the light....
  16. Thanks Mate.....apperciate your feedback.
  17. Has anyone tried the genuine Toyota seat covers and do they look good? Thanks.
  18. My ZR6 does about 12.4 L per 100 Ks in short run and about 8L per 100Ks in long. I don't know how accurate these figures are as there is always a lot of fuel in the tank when the fuel light comes on and it says 0KM in fuel range. On a full thank I get about 530K out of it on average driving.
  19. Your Toyota dealer will only fix this problem if you keep going back to them. Tell them what part number to put in - see my previous post. The only problem is that they don't know the proper wheel alignment specs. I would recommend going to Fulcrum for this.
  20. I have had the same problem since I picked up my ZR6. The dealer did wheel alignment twice and then they agreed that it was a problem. I just got my car back after 3 days. They changed Control Arm Bushes and installed a kit - SPF2904K. I am 100% sure that Toyota have no clue at all what they are doing. It has not fixed the problem. They told me that I would be very happy with the car after the new parts are installed. The car pulls left even if I am on the extreme right hand lane of a 4 lane high way. I asked the dealer if the TRDs had the same problem and he said yes, but it was not really a problem as it only happens on Queensland roads - BULLS**T. A friend of mine works for Toyota and she told me that Toyota knows about this issue and the only thing they are doing is wheel alignment. They don't even want to know about it unless you keep going to them. We were looking at buying more Aurions for the company directors, but have bought Holden Calais instead - much better car. No problems at all. Whenever I meet an Aurion driver, I tell him about the problem and they thought that it was only with their car. Please keep spreading this information so that Toyota does something about it. p.s. the fix from Fulcrum does void the warranty and you will always have to go to Fulcrum for wheel alignment as only they know the right specs for it.
  21. I have the same problem in my car - tried cleaning and everything - worked ok for a few days and the noise is back. TOYOTA SUCKS - will sell mine and get a Holden.
  22. CONGRATS MATE!! I just picked up mine about a month ago. Its a ZR6 Inferno as well. Best looking colour on that car. Overall I am happy with it. Only dissapointment is that the car pulls left a lot.
  23. e-mailing Toyota sounds like a good idea. I will try to find out an email address and will post in ASAP. We have to do something about this.
  24. I bought a ZR6 about 2 months ago and I am having the same problem. I have been informed by a friend that it is a factory fault and not something that a simple wheel alignment can fix. It can only be fixed by Fulcrum Suspension using part number SPF2904K. Hopefully Toyota does a recall soon to fix this problem. Keeping going back to your Toyota dealer.
