  1. Only four beers? Lightweight :P Give it time and don't put too much thought into it - if it's going to work out, it will. I had the same thing with a girl I was after. We've now been together 6 months and we've both never been this happy :)
  2. Yep...Changin ur tyre to the same profile will fix the problem IMO... Any, why do u bother changin ur rims .5 wider? If u want, get a bigger ones like 18"? He needs wider rims to fit wider tires, obviously.
  3. Hahaha I love the diagram! Nice. :P Yeah i got out yesterday and put it to the Cig lighter. Works well. Works just how i want it. THanks. But as i did it I did something and now my parkers arent working prop now. At the start I wired it to my parkers and yeah dunno what happen. HeadLights and brakes work, Hazards do. Just no idicators or parkers, no dash. :( Definitely sounds like a fuse.
  4. Moving to QLD from NSW, I had planned to roll straight into my green P's as I did my license transfer after the new rules came in. When I went to go sit the test, I was told that I somehow ended up being on the old laws and go onto my opens in June next year :)
  5. Absolutely no damage to your engine at all (listen to Daryl). Unless you bounce off the limiter for a little while (Top Gear Australia anybody?), you've done no damage at all, even then it normally takes a while to do real damage, which is normally just bending a rod or two. Yea nothing serious though Sorry, that sentence was worded pretty poorly. I've changed it so it makes more sense.
  6. It won't, unless you have a very strange amp :P
  7. Absolutely no damage to your engine at all (listen to Daryl). Unless you bounce off the limiter for a little while (Top Gear Australia anybody?), you've done no damage at all. Even if you do bounce off the limiter occasionally, it normally takes a while to do real damage, which tends to be bending a rod or two.
  8. Clutch won't be much, but labour will be the killer. I'd probably say $500 minimum, plus parts. It's worthwhile upgrading your clutch and upping the pressure rating, but not by a stupid amount - driveability suffers.
  9. Haha, I replied in another one of your threads where I thought it would be rather obvious it was me, but you must have missed it. What's going on these days? I'm working near your place, if you need an exhaust done on your car come and see me @ Exotic Exhausts.
  10. Do you still have all those photo's from your 20th? I think you can see my arms in one, when I was helping Mark do his jumper up. I managed to avoid the camera all night Anyway, here's me and my girlfriend.
  11. Ok, is it just me or does this smell like advertising for that dealership? Anyway, my picture of the sky is better.
  12. 1U-FZE has been done, quite successfully from what I've heard. Both the engines you're talking about are quite heavy, so will upset the balance of the car a bit.
  13. I'm currently downing a leftover can of Inner Circle rum + coke, which are one of my never favourites. For non-alcoholic, any Easy Way tea is perfect.
  14. You really don't know a lot, do you? What about a new rear diff (I'd like to see the stock one hold up to a couple of hundred kW, especially for a forced induction engine coming onto boost)? What about a new gearbox? What about upgrading the brakes so you don't have a rolling death trap? I suggest you do a bit more research before you make statements like that in the future.
  15. That's on an engine dyno though, not into an engine bay - a complete different kettle of fish.
  16. The 1G's are a popular swap, don't think the 4A-GE would have the torque (and it's most likely going to be a FWD engine, requiring more work and money to first convert it to RWD) and the RB20's are quite overrated. Personally, I'd either find a RWD 3SGE cut w/ BEAMS (you can turbo it later down the track), 1JZ-GTE or a SR20DET (apparently they go quite alright in early model Celica's). It all comes down to how deep your pockets are.
  17. I believe I have on in the backyard somewhere (fairly sure it's a RA65). I'll check tomorrow for you and I'm happy to post stuff if you really want it.
  18. Your O2 sensor is quite possibly part of the culprit too, it would explain a couple of things. They are about $80 to buy and a piece of ***** to replace.
  19. Hmm, interesting. When I get a stock airbox back, I'll have a play around with a few things to see what works well. Now I have access to all sorts of pipe working tools, I could make a couple of anybody is interested.
  20. I guess everyone has different stories to tell. My family has been with AAMI for yonks and have never had a problem with them. I recently got into a bit of a bingle (not my fault), and within 24 hours of it happening, my car was being assessed and within 36 hours, it was at the panel shop. All I did was lodge a claim over the phone, rock up to their assessment centre for 5-10 minutes, and they took care of the rest. 'sup Daryl? :P I've never seen you around here before, but I recognised the car in your avatar immediately. My only real experience was with NRMA and they were excellent - everything got sorted out quickly and the car was getting repaired within a few days (the only waiting was on the panelbeater). My girlfriend is with Suncorp and they took months to sort out her writing her car off.
  21. If you're going to upgrade, do it properly (not that I'd call the Commonwhore engine an upgrade though). This calls for a blown 1U-FZE.
  22. Hmm, I don't know how a Honda Accord CAI would fit as the throttlebody is on the other side of the car, not to mention the airbox is plummed through the guard then into another silencer box
  23. http://www.k-mac.com.au/ Email these guys, they should be able to help you.
  24. Cat back, as in catalytic converter back :P I got a full exhaust (headers, stock cat, cat-back 2.25" and muffler) done for around $600 including labour.
