  1. I've got throttle controller and the difference is really noticeable. Accelerator pedal is more responsive when I press/depress it and the acceleration time is faster. Car feels a lot better too. I can recommend you this device :)
  2. Why would I be hold the button continuously? I am going to use a rocker switch instead of the momentary button. Maybe you did not understand my point? Well, I believe that probably it's me who did not understand your point :D
  3. I found this. Don't know if it's useful in my case. There's something about latching relay.
  4. Exactly. And it doesn't change modes, just turns off. Can I use a special relay? I read about it somewhere. When it starts getting current, it connects for some time, then disconnects automatically.
  5. Here are the pics: Throttle Controller (unit which you connect between the throttle pedal connection slot and the connector + switch unit with button): Inside of the switch unit:
  6. I just thought that it may be quite basic thing... Will post up a pic of the inside of original controller tomorrow (going to sleep now as it's getting late here) :)
  7. Guys, probably you were right. Now my TC is ON all the time while the car is running. No matter in which position my new switch is. I'm just wondering, how did that one guy make it work... I'm also thinking where does the TC get it's energy from? It's connected to the throttle pedal, so probably it's getting it from there? When it had the old switch, it wasn't connected to any other source where it could've gotten it's power from. Could you please explain, how does a momentary switch work if the TC gets it's energy from throttle pedal? Does it "activate" something which starts letting the power through and the TC starts working or what?
  8. I've been thinking about that. But I can say that I know one guy who did this and tested the system using multimeter. According to him, everything's working just fine!
  9. Yes, it's a momentary switch. TC is made by Russian company called Jetter Electronics. Actually, I allready found out how to connect a relay: 30 = positive from car 87 = positive from TC 85 = ACC 86 = ground and connect the TC's negative to some grounding source inside the car. What I'm thinking about now, is do I really need to use a relay? I suppose that my TC doesn't consume very much amperes. So maybe just connect it straight to positive and negative and install my switch in between positive or negative wire?
  10. How did you do it? Do you have a link for the company? I am interested to know more about this, because in Finland it's not legal to put film on windows. So maybe this technique will help me and make it possible to get tinted windows :)
  11. I've got throttle controller with a button which is not fixed. I want to install a button which would stay ON permanently, so that I wouldn't need to turn my throttle controller on every time I start up the car. There are three wires on my TC. Plus, minus and the LED. Here is the relay I'm going to use. Which is the correct order I should be using while connecting cables to the relay. I've got 2 position switch with LED.
  12. Nice! Why did you remove the front windows glass? You tint it with film or something else, maybe spray?
  13. You can use Lamin-X stone chip protector film to achieve that effect.
  14. One reason (for the others complaining here) can be that the engine hasn't been cleaned and you resetted the system by disconnecting your car battery. Obviously this is not your case aznjack26. Your case is probably that the engine was cleaned, but system wasn't resetted by the dealership. As your car is "learning" all the time and adapting to your driving style, it gets used to the state of your engine. If the pipes are dirty, it adapts to them. When you suddenly clean your pipes, the system remains adapted to the "old", dirty pipes, and it takes time for it to get used to the new situation. This can be fixed by disconnecting the negative terminal from your car battery for a while. Rest of you guys just probably disconnected your battery without cleaning the engine. Your car "forgot" what it had learned and it obviously takes some time for the car to get used to the present situation again.
  15. Great-looking car. Will be interesting to see the progress! Do you happen to know the part number for Greddy front strut?
  16. Does anyone know how to remove the number plate holder from ZRE? Removed the front bumper but found out that it's attached using round nuts. Cannot use any tool to open them up. On the outside there are holes in the middle of the screws but they are round aswell... Quite strange, maybe I am missing some point?
  17. I found out that Charlie (flipsta24) posted some pics of his Cusco bar in ZRE Strut Brace thread. There is a pic of of it when it's outside the engine bay and it looks 100% symmetrical
  18. Actually here in Europe we have the same engine cover on facelifted ZREs as in that pic above. It's because facelifts have Valvematic engine instead of VVT-i...
  19. Found the part number for Greddy front strut and thought someone might find it useful, so here it is: 14013040
  20. Doesn't seem to be fully symmetrical... :( Maybe I should just go for TOMs?
  21. Thanks for all your replies! Yeah I think it's not bent, just coming more "forward" on one side... I was looking at TOMs aswell, could get it for AU$ 400 delivered. Little bit of hesitation because of the price though. Thinking about Cusco aswell, it should be symmetrical regarding to the pic below. BUT I'm not 100% sure if the one in the pic is for ZRE as it's not installed. Could be for any car really I managed to find the C-One parts from Estonia. There is a guy who first said he couldn't get them, but then he contacted me and said he found someone who's able to deliver front strut and sway from C-One... So, now for some real world experiences regarding TOMs and Cusco, will they really fit? I don't like the looks of Greddy, but painting it would help for sure, so would be grateful for the part number :)
  22. Hey guys! Going to order C-One front strut for my Auris (Corolla ZRE) and was wondering wether it'll fit or not. The problem is my car is LHD, so if the strut isn't symmetrical, it won't fit as it's bent to fit RHD car. This is what I mean. This would've fitted to my car, but it doesn't fit on a RHD car (pic from RHD car)... This will fit to both ones as it's symmetrical: This is the C-One, but it's hard to tell if it's bent or not... I've looked through all the pics I could find, no success. So I need some real world experiances! Hope for your help guys :)
