  1. No need to remove the trim. Just remove the small hatch which is on the inside. Put your arm in there, you will sense two clips. Push them towards each other while pushing the assembly out at the same time. Then, from the outside, just disconnect the connector from the assembly and replace with the new one. Good luck! :)
  2. +1 +2 BTW the car looks great! Keep up the good work :)
  3. Nice ride mate! Could you post some pics with your parkers/brakes on? It'd be interesting to see how the LED lights look in action...
  4. White would've been better I guess...! Still nice though.
  5. There are new tail lights available for Auris. They are being produced by DepoAutoLamp and do look like this:
  6. Great idea! I love rims painted in exotic colours. Wondering why silver ones are so common, car makers should start painting them in different colours. One great idea would be to start colour coding them with car's body. That would be something different at least.
  7. Is your lens tint film Lamin-X or something similiar? I'd like to get some too, but haven't found any other than the one I mentioned...
  8. Those are RH ALURAD rims. The model is Crossline in 8,5x19 with 35mm offset. Latest pics of the car incl. some new mods:
  9. No problem guys... Yea it's not that easy and is quite challenging, but not impossible :) Dutchie, your HU did not fit or what? I thought you were just planning to order...
  10. Yes, that is the player I am talking about. It will fit on ZRE hatch without any problems, but will have to be modified to fit Corolla sedan. I meant that IF someone with hatch model (like dutchie) would somehow end up with sedan HU, he could modify it to fit. I believe the same thing can be done to fit hatch HU to a sedan. Sedan HU is 10mm higher and 4mm wider + the shape of the front is different. It cannot be installed so that it'd fit smooth inside the console without any gaps. The guy bought a HU for sedan but fitted it to a hatchback. Left, original, right, new one Front comparsion He deleted the front panel Bought some aftermarket facia designed to fit ZRE hatch And just connected them together. So that the front panel would fit the HU, but at the same time it would follow the shape of his front console. Ready product If you have ZRE hatch, just buy TYT 802 which I posted pics of in this post, if you have hatchback, buy WI-8928CE mentioned in my previous post.
  11. Head units are different in Corolla sedan/Corolla hatch. At least that's how it goes here in Europe... Some have managed to fit HUs designed for sedan to their hatchbacks after doing some modifications though. Some guys have fitted chinese HU to their ZRE hatchbacks and are very happy with it so far. The model is WI-8928CE and it looks like this:
  12. Guys, I believe you did not understand how my system works at the moment. When the switch is in mode 1, all of my lights are off if my engine is off. My headlights turn on automatically when I start my car in this mode, so I don't have to touch the switch. I want the exact same thing to happen after the mod too, but the difference would be that my foggies would light up instead of headlights. In mode 2 my headlights turn off and only my parkers are on. If my foggy switch is ON, my foglights do turn on as soon as I choose this mode. I want the exact the same thing to happen, but so that my foggies would turn off and I could activate my headlights if I wanted to. In mode 3 my headlights are on, my interior lightning on, and my foggies are on (if the other switch is in ON). I want my foggies and interior lightning to be on in this mode, and the headlights aswell if I'll have the other switch in ON position. Hope you get me now. I think it's a great idea as I will be able to save automatic light function, use my foggies only in mode 1, use my headlights in mode 2 with other switch in ON position and have them both on when I select mode 3. I could keep the other switch permanently in ON position 24/7 and all I'd have to do is use the other switch to control everything! I suspect that my local car parts seller doesn't know how to do that I can always ask though...
  13. I have two switches for my front lights, one for the main lights (parkers, low beams) and another one for the foggies. Here is how they look and work: What I would like to do is to modify them so that I'd change the functions between switches. After that I would be able to control my foggies using main light switch which means they would also work exactly like my main lights at the moment. Why I want to do so is that I'm going to install DRLs into my foggies and I want them to light up when I start the engine, and my low beams to stay off until I'll switch them manually on (when it gets dark). Here is how I want them to work: I've been thinking that I could make it work by simply connecting the main light plug to foggies and foggy plug to front lights. I could do it by extending the cables in the engine bay. I could also just swap the wires at some earlier stage, for example near the fuse box. Even though I think it's theoretically possible, I don't know if it is in practice to make it work. I don't have any idea of how to locate the right cables if I will be doing the thing near the fuse box as there's so many different cables ones in there. Any ideas?
  14. Sorry for what happened, but you guys were lucky to survive without injuries. Car can be always fixed! That's what I was going to talk about actually... When you'll take it to the repair shop, could you please ask/see how will they be removing the side mirror mount? I am willing to colour code mine but not sure how to remove it.
  15. You can go for some sub which can be placed under the seat. Or then buy some low-profile sub, like Pioneer TS-SW1241D and make for it a custom enclosure which can be fitted under the spare wheel, like I did.
  16. Why not to paint the headlights in white instead of black. Would look different and stand out and still look great!
  17. Nice idea and looks cool... But why not to just buy some waterproof SMD strip and stick it there by yourself...?
  18. Here is how it works on my ZRE: Turn power on and set counter to "ODO" Turn power off Turn power on, within 5 seconds, press and hold the trip-reset button After 10 seconds, fasten the seatbelt (the interval has to be exactly 10 seconds) The display will show B-on Release the trip-reset button and press it again. The display will show B-off Turn power off and release the seatbelt. DONE!
  19. Nothing wrong with the rims, they'd just require some different car...
  20. Thanks for the info John! The price just isn't too tempting... <_<
