  1. are you running hub rings with your alloy wheels? if they are not located perfectly on your hubs, then you will get a vibration, even if your tyres are perfectly balanced.
  2. do some research on what the numbers mean. the 40 profile is actually the height of tire wall calculated as a percentage of the width. 40 profile is where you want to be mate.
  3. how can i unmod myself... this joint has just become the straw that broke the camels back.
  4. flush your radiator..... sometimes if you have a blockage in your radiator, you can get Hot points in your radiator which can cause this to happen. I had the same prob in my SX.... which i solved with new thermostat and new rad cap... make sure you have the correct pressure cap for your car! and that it is infact sealing.

  7. remember that if you convert your 4AFC engine to either version of the EFI head.. 4age, 4agze, 4age20v you will need to do the rest off the car too... ECU, EFI tank and lines, i am sure there is heaps more involved. IMO.. better off just buying a cheap car with a 4AGE already in it.
  8. the car needs +/- 0 offset wheels STAT!!!!! beautiful MX5 mate

  10. thanks for all your comments here guys. I just dont want this thread to turn into a **** fight for people calling each other reckless or whatever. Like i said, i always choose routes that enable you to drive as fast as you want, without breaking the speed limits. I guess the purpose of this is for people to wake up and drive withing their limits. We have no place for reckless or careless driving. I just want everyone to enjoy the drive... sound fair?
  11. nudges bars are currently being made to cover the back order.. and will be available at your dealership soon.
  12. Hi everyone. i Just wanted to say something in regard to the nature of our cruises here in Melbourne, and if anyone here thinks that i am talking out of turn please let me know. So far from the last 5 out of 6 cruises I have had a hand in organising there has been some form of incident involving a forum member losing control of their car. The last weekends cruise was no exception. Without naming anyone publicly to avoid causing any grief or humiliation, i want to make it very clear about my expectations as a moderator or cruise organiser. Firstly i understand that inexperience can have a lot to do with driver error, and not knowing the cars limits, but more importantly your own. People who have not had cruise experience, or have little experience on the road in general, such as P Platers or any member who is not familiar with their car, need to curb their enthusiasm. I always chose cruise routes that have speed limits, but more importantly, speed limits that are nearly impossible to break. This gives us all a chance to drive our cars around bends quickly and enjoy some true fast paced cornering without feeling the least bit apprehensive about the police, or breaking the law. This however does not mean that you HAVE to keep up with the person in front of you. I state very clearly at the beginning of each cruise that if you are looking for a more sedate experience, please take yourself to the back of the pack. If you are not confident, or if you are unsure of your car for any reason, take yourself to the back of the pack. I am not trying to be the big bad ogre, or the voice of reason... all i am asking is to please take into consideration your abilities and your cars capabilities. The last thing we want on any of our social meets and cruises is to have to be ringing someones parents or the ambulance. Least of all... we spend all our hard earned monies on these cars, our pride and joy, and its heartbreaking to see them all bent up being loaded onto a flat bed truck. I hope i haven't offended anyone, but i feel that as a group we need to talk about ways in which we can better organise cruises, or drives, so that we don't have to see anyone hurt, or have their car damaged. i really want us to all take responsibility for our own actions, but if you have any ideas about how we could better structure these days i would really like to hear it.
  13. Now that is a brilliant idea!! How about a December TOCAU X-mas Meet & BBQ up this way??? Leaving the way clear for Go Karts in November (cool!) and possibly someone else can organise something for October? Stickers is a great idea Andy, had a few people ask me on the weekend about the rounded/oval one I've got on my rear window but I know we don't make them anymore. I wouldn't mind some form of URL sticker but the last one was a bit plain for me, didn't think it really worked with my bigger Racing Development TRD sticker - vanity queen that I am!! hey Tash Hoping to have the go kart event here in melbourne for the christmas break up. Dwee can hook us up here in melbourne for that time of year withh a great group discount. Just think that it would be better for the numbers for aachristmas even to be in Melbourne.... hope thats cool with you?
  14. hey just on the loud thing... If anyone thinks that this is going to be any sort of "sound off" they are mistaken. we really dont want any unneccassary attention... Some cars are modified in ways that members of the constabulary need not know about. if anyone objects.... There's always this.
  15. sounds good mate! do you want to invite any other Toyota clubs?
  16. great meeting you the other morning. Hope to see you on a few more meets. Andy.
  17. anyone ith suggestions for the next meet shoot me a PM and we can work together on making sure its a success. I'm gonna spend some time and Money putting together a new Sticker for us as well. For sale at the next Meet!
