  1. Ive always wanted one a bagged surf or landcruiser.......never had the skills or time to do it....not to mention the $$$$$$$$$$

Big props to you, look forward to seeing the final product.

  2. I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to go that cheap for their Aurion/Camry V6.

Haha, Im not stupid enough dont worry. I was just driving behind a cr@ppy Lancer with a fart can & then a XR8 ute with fart cans...and wondered if anyone had done our car + what it would sound like. The XR8 ute sounded ok under heavy throttle but stupid at idle & cruising.

  3. If you can get a report that says Jax caused the problem then yeah go for it...but loose wheel nuts could be caused by a lot of things.

If it was parked in your driveway (with driveway on the left side of house) someone could have attempted to remove the wheels using the car as cover. Either yourself or something else could have interrupted then they have just bolted. The left side is also hidden from the street. Dont think they would be considerate enough to do them up again if interrupted. And then who's to say theres not an idiot out there who decided it would be fun just to undo some bolts, much like idiots who chuck rocks at cars.

Im not saying your wrong, just saying that the 23 days is a long time between the event & the fitment. If it happened on the drive home from fitment then hell yeah, skin them alive.

Best bet is to call OFT & see what their opinion is.

  4. I've been told a wheel/tyre package comes with these Achillies ATR Sport tyres...never heard of them. The whole package is $1,700 which is on the cheap side for 19" rims...Im hoping that costs weren't cut in the tyre department.

So does anyone have then or know about them?

  5. All i could get in the At-X was a small skid when i planted it till the traction control did it's thing. Then i tried to intentionally smoke them and as i said traction control came to the rescue.. Be interesting to see how long you could hold it for without out it.... Im guess a while

Road was very wet tonight, was going about 40km/h so i pushed the foot right down & it dropped back 2 gears, held wheel spin for about 5 seconds then shuddered & I let off the gas.

  6. In all honesty...3 year old camry, might be better to get a 2006 Aurion. The v6 is powerful, auto is beautiful, all round great car.

Should be able to pick on up for about $25k, up to you whether you want a sportivo or just base model at-x...all are great.

  7. Hi guys,

I've got an Aurion Sportivo...but hate the big wing on the back, hoping to get the little Camry bob tail wings that the Camry Sportivo's have.

What Im wondering is, if someone can take a pic on the underside of the boot lid, where the screws are to mount it....got my fingers crossed its the same as the Aurions or at least the Aurions holes would be covered.

If someone can, that would be excellent...free beer!

And if the Silver is the same as the camry...I'd probably be willing to swap wings with someone....

  8. Original post edited with DIY, pics of final result will appear tomorrow some time.

can u take a pic standing back?

i woulda left some chrome around the globe so it u can see the light tho

Ill take more pics tomorrow, had crappy camera + enough battery to take 2 pics only.

I originally started taping off a chrome ring around the two main lights, was going good but when I got to the projector one, around the bottom it was so hard to do. So decided not to do it anymore. Does look a little silly having the outer light all black, but I dont mind it.

  9. Well parents said they would take him for a couple of days to see how he goes...when I dropped in this arvo they had 4 different types of food, bought him a bunch of toys & he was asleep on Mum's lap even though shes not keen on pets......so I guess he is staying??

Ill keep this up in case.

  10. you dont put the headlight in WITH THE OVEN running!! next time, reheat the oven for 15minutes, switch it off, then put the headlight in for 8 minutes. NO MORE THAN 15mins!

Every other DIY I've read said put it on the lowest temp (90) & put in for 10 mins. Some replies mentioned heating at a higher temp then put the light in to melt in the ambient heat, but no one said there was a right & wrong way. Anyway, cant sue them, its all part of DIY'ing it, worked fine for the first one, just need to buy a new casing for the second. Ill do the other method to put them back together this morning.
