  1. I have decided on coilovers, im waiting for a few quotes next week so i'll keepo you guys informed on what i find out. There is one strange thing though, when the guy checked the car series it was a 125, i thought it would have been a 123.

  2. I watched it last nite as well, and although i havent been a huge fan of batman in the past, i reackon this one is awesome. The new Batman is pretty cool, and the storyline is great, not to mention Michael Cain and also Katie Holmes(Keep an eye out for her nipple pokies near the end of the movie :D ). Great action cant wait for the next one.

  3. I would also look at the 22r-e since you have a budget these engines are plentiful in the corona celica and hi-ace. Thye dont make alot of HP but have plenty of torque from their 2.4 liter capacity. Very reliable and run on unleaded. If you mod the exhaust and the air intake you should get over 100kw easily and 220+ Nm or torque. If you want HP from that era, if you can source a rwd 4age then go for that. I wouldnt go for the 1gg, an import engine fairly old and hard to find parts. If not done right youre looking at alot of cash and a big headache.

    Cheers

  4. I know, but at the same time i dont want my car to clean the streets around the city either. Im just after a nice low look, and i dont want the ride to become harsh. I have to admit i havent considered coilovers yet, i am still uncertain, dont know much about them. I can get whiteline low springs for $115 a pair, dont know about the koni's. The car wont be used for track purposes I dont see the point in going overboard for a setup. Coilovers to me seem like they are too full on for the street.like i said i dont know much about them.

  5. Now i gotta figure out on a suspension setup   . Time to Pimp that ride   :D

Back to the RAV 4 look hey Lucio. Ahh... All that body roll again!

I recommend talking to you know who about getting trade prices on the whiteline (Koni) shock & spring setup with swaybar. For what it will cost you real good value :)

3 more track days have been booked in throughout the year after the next one in July, so no excuses about being away. You have a choice of August 17, October 26 and November 22. Warning though once you do one you'll be hooked. Just fitted some 19" enkei's (same as I had on the sportivo) to the RX8 so as I can keep the stock alloys for track tyres.

    Cheers mate

Funny you say that, sounds just like Peekay, how was the trip with the honda boys??

  6. Thanx for the advice BlkZR, ive read that article before, and i hit lift once already(oops) couldnt help myself, feels quite mild compared to the 03 model with the CAI, you can really tell the difference. I wont drive it hard, just let her run in normally. Now i gotta figure out on a suspension setup :unsure: . Time to Pimp that ride :D

  7. First Impressions from the 03 model......the 05 feels more refined, feels like it has more low down torque, and the leather is not as firm as the 03 model, its more plush, also worth a mention is the great sound system. Havent used lift and ill try not to for the first 1000k's. Real happy with the car, let the mods begin :D

  8. That article is a load of crap, and you cant even find those cars at those prices. What they dont mention is the hastles in finding a second hand car that has not been thrashed to the s**thouse. That article if you notice is all about killowats and price, because thats all that matter in a car rite??? what a joke, i am dissapointed and dont feel any confidence in what these motor journos say about cars because they are biast 9/10 times and write crap 9/10 times.

"Nissan's delicious, rear-drive 200SX coupe can also be found for this budget, a 1998 example with 111,000km costs about $18,200."

DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!! c'mon its a car not an edible item, and where are you going to find one like that in stock form, and in the colour you want.

  9. It's a sensitive issue the exhaust because its not a cheap mod, and if not done properly it will stuff up the car's performance. So far the CES is the only exhaust that has been prooven by some of our members. MAybe you should PM them and see what they think or use the search engine on the CES. Personally, i will get a CES as soon as i get the bloody car. CES, TRD CAI, and Unichip.

  10. The Best colour is Black, but its the hardest to clean. To show you how much i like it, my first car was black, and i insisted my second car to be black too.......you just cant beat black. If you cant get black get red, they are nice and dont fade. Dont get a blue, its like a cheap black :P doesent look as good yet you can see the dirt just as bad. Get silver if you dont have time to wash your car, it doesent show and swirl marks, however im saving that colour for when im an old fart and drive a merc or something prestigious. White???? looks good with dark tint, but gets dirty quick, not many around for the corolla sportivo, but what looks crap is the mudflaps which are black, you need to paint them white. Bird**** looks bad on white.

  11. What are the adj. konis worth???The reason im asking is that my old car i had the eibachs and they worked terrific with the stock shockers, but they didnt lower the car a hell of a lot.
