NAME: Rowan AGE: 18 SEX: Male STATUS: Working on it ;) REASON FOR BUYING: I absolutly loved the aurion since the day they came out and always read the write-ups on them in the wheels and motor mags. So as soon as i left school and got into full time employment i got stuck into saving a bit of money. I sold my bike and boat to help get there abit faster and there was too many weekends that i nocked back my mates when they asked me to go out just to save that little bit more lol. I had a 03' corolla that was half done up at the time, so it was sad to see it go because of the great fuel economy and it never missed a beat. i had a few options in the end which were narrowed down to and Aurion, XR6 (thank *** i didnt go that way) and a celica. XR6 because it was manual and rear wheel drive but that was eliminated becuase ever 3rd car you see is an XR6. so then i wnet through a stage of getting a celica which i sometimes would still have liked to get but the stock ones look nothin too special and it would have cost a bit to make them look good (skirts, suspension, rims). And also when it somes to sell it i would think they would take a wile to get rid of. And then it was the aurion, i couldnt think of anything better, did not have to do 1 thing to it it was just already done. Beautiful looks, goey engine and great interior. so with my heart set i went a brought one from the auctions for a great price and i couldnt be more happy. and finding this site is such makes it so much easier and everyone on here is always too happy to help out. What sort of Exhuasts did u end up putting on? were they the same as mine? oval SuperCats?

I was actually checkin them out on friday night when you had ur car parked at indro. I thought that was quick last week he didnt have exhasuts lol...look sweet by the way!! :D

just in regards to the fuel economy issue that i was havin just after i got the exhasut. ive been getting the old man drive it for the last couple of day cos he has to drive pretty far on the hiway and the economy has become very normal again and is back to its about 8 average. so it must have been the ecu just needing a bit of time to reset itself very releaved !!!!

Could be a contribution but i ve done about 600k's since ive got the exhaust and have been doin 90% hiway use. ive toped my tank up 3 times just to reset the computer and each time it was about 2.5L/100 more than before the exhaust. But as 'apg39' said they recomended a little wile for the ecu to fully adjust to the change. there about a 7x4 inch oval and about 13inch long. the luckey one that i was looking to fit onto it. are very much the same size but there were alot more expensive

it was tint film and i just applied it with a heat gun

no worries ill try and do one tomorow...even tho it is a component of the engine, toyota saya that they dont really mind if the rear mufflers are changed but they do get a little bit touchy wen you go and replace the cats and center mufflers etc.

very close...i dont think u would be able to pick that it had an exhaust wen u drove past it on the hiway unless u took alot of notice. but its about the same just with a little deeper note, not droney wat so ever. under acceleration on normal roads it is the loudest at about 2100 rpm but still not loud at all compared to the commies and falcon that get around with exhaust on.

Do it come on!! even the guys that worked there were like that would have to be one of the nices sounding 6cyl's we've heard...i was like wow :P

Hey guys, thanks to 'TRD Aurion Owners' advice i took my car to pipewerx this morning now we sound the same :D I got dual SuperCat resinators in replace of the rear mufflers. it cost $420 inc. tips and installation and it sounds absolutly brilliant i couldnt be happier with it. I didnt want cannon style mufflers and i didnt want anything too load. These have a great sound with no raspiness and best of all its quiet on the hiway B) heres some pic's guys

oh i c. my quite little celica is not welcome :( magyar i remember lookin at your semi slicks at pinelands once and u tellin me that it handled a treat (im the one that was looking for a 7th gen at the time as was asking you about lift timing....ring any bells lol) so why dont u come and show us the goods hahah

yeah, if i pull my finger out, i'll be doing an exhaust system and intake as the first steps... i just need some time to get it organised... :( im getting mine done at pipewerx this friday...cant wait :P
