i think unless its done properly it wont be as affective as the CAI i know that the standard box isnt that great for air flow also they have a little plate inside the box that opens when in lift, you want somehting thats 100% open t all times not just MOST the time i WAS going to get a HSV or FPV box installed, AIR RAM it and K&N filter i was also gonna relocate the battery to the boot but it turned out to be too expensive, but personally i reckon i would have got BIGGER results from that then the CAI but oh well. Too late now ahaha

as for the BBQ meet i think most of us will be turning up at 7 cus thats roughly when it starts personally thats good time for me any earlier then i get TOO MUCH DAMN TRAFFIC and any later then by the time i get home ill be heaps tired early next morning for work LOL so are we all gonna be there by 7 we can all wait out side for a chat before we all head in

i agree i think the fog lights look hot BUT you can get fined for driving with them on anyways so in a way im helping myself 1 not using them so i dont ge fined 2 better performance due to direct air raming the air pod SWEET :D as for gtting fined for using foggies i know not many people actually get pulled up for this but trust me you still can if the cop wants to be a prick

hey i got an aussie made CAI they dont have a number like that on mine so what could i tell the police to relate it to the CAI emissions testing to prove that they are passable also unboxed air pods are legal they just have to be held firm with a bracket so that way they dont move around in your engine bay

i used motul 10w40(i think not 100%certain on that now) full synthetic once before and i was pretty happy with it BUT then somone made a comment that motul and the vvti motors dont go that well together even though i never experienced any problems i wasnt willing to take the risk for in the future so seeing as though castrol and toyota are in sponsorship together im gonna start using full synthetic castrol oil yet to go shopping to find the exact 1 im going to use yet hehe but i assure you it will no higher than 5w or lower than 30 cheers

i agree with ZAV when i first got the car i used to get heaps of axle tramp EVEN 1st to 2nd changes pretty bad (back then i ddint know what axle tramp was and thought i had a problem LOL) but now my tyres have a little bit of wear in them i hardly get any axle tramp at all actually now that i think about it i havent had any axle tramp for a good 2 months and im always breaking traction during 1st to 2nd changes aahahaha LOL

although i drive a rolla it sounds interesting waiting for pics cheers

it probably wouldnt hurt to go and check out your local auto wreckers just might be lucky enough to find a damaged hilux (in the rear) with 2 near new gaurds only thing you will have to do is get them fitted and painted

i dont go any thicker than 5W with my oils besides toyota's genuine oil is just castrol anyways so whats so genuine about it its just sponsorship also you can opt for full synthetic oil when you get your service done and they will use there genuine oil HEHE
