  1. Hey IZZ, did you end up painting your calipers? How'd it go? ...... Wouldn't it be swell if this was in the Rolla forum.... :P
  2. By all means, help me get a grip on reality Steve and tell me what features exactly will be implemented for my donated money. Hmmm Googles $1825 annually (5x365), gee I hope you can find hosting that cheap.....
  3. I'm going to go and say that you SHOULD have read the entire first post. One OT thread in the Corolla forum for Corolla users to have a chat versus countless repeat-simple-question threads. Nice choice ← i read the first post, this is just gonna turn into a random post thread, so it can stay here ← Yeah man, better not risk it....
  4. I got the tyres for $170. It's a once off, but man am I stoked.
  5. Aww man, don't make me tear up in front of everyone....
  6. I'm going to go and say that you SHOULD have read the entire first post. One OT thread in the Corolla forum for Corolla users to have a chat versus countless repeat-simple-question threads. Nice choice
  7. Yeah I'm gonna go the Holotypes, I know they're not everyone's taste but I've thought they were cool since I first saw them. I'm getting Michelin Pilot Preceda's 205/45/R17 88V's for the sweetest price, I'm so wrapped!
  8. Preface: Here's an initiative that I'm gonna go ahead and test the water with. The 'chat thread' concept has worked on many other forums I have frequented in the past and I think will work quite well here. The chat thread is a thread for random (often off-topic) chatter amongst us Corolla drivers within the Rolla forum. I know we have a general forum, but that's all the way up there and we're all the way down here. It'll keep the noob-question new-posts down hopefully. Randoms will be able to drop in here, ask their question and have it answered/refferred easily. So, hopefully you guys are in the mood to let this one slide and we can have some good off-topic chat happening in this thread. Here's a couple to get the ball rolling. I watched my first full episode of '24' on monday night and it was pretty awesome, too bad there's only 3 episodes to go in this season.... better late than never? Also, I ordered my new tyres this morning and will be picking them up tomorrow along with my new 17's early next week. I'm so pumped!!!
  9. Mate, I'm sorry for biting back, and for the record I understand where you're coming from.
  10. I can agree with the sentiment of having the events more clearly shown. I missed the Melbourne Dyno day because I didn't even know it was on. It's so far to scroll down to the Meets & Events forum.... :P About being a mod, look, alright, i'll do it. Power me up shiznets!
  11. If TOCAU 'ran out of money' and had to close, I would run it from my website, just one extra database, big deal. Seriously man, I doubt they're struggling to scrape together the $25 annually or whatever to keep this site running. Especially with the added money they make from the Google ads. If the owners/operators of TOCAU made a request to users for funds, and gave a reason, sure I would definately donate a little. But another user saying that it's 'p1ss poor' that I dont give money, is no incentive at all. As far as the original posters, well, original post regarding domain names, I'd just like to add that toc.com.au is available. But BigBum's point is a good one, most people have this site bookmarked. It's no small feat to shift peoples 'brand awareness' to a new domain name. edit: Go.d damn it, why the f.uck can't we say 'p!ss' in here. There's an improvement idea! edit2: And G.od?! Seriously wtf, lighten up.
  12. I was under the impression that it's the people that make this a community, accumulated knowledge that is shared freely. Not Invision, not the domain company and not the host. Assume I donated $10,000, how would that help it grow into one of the best Toyota communities around? I'm not trying to have a go at you, sincerely, this is the site suggestions section after all. What could be done to improve this place if money was not an issue?
  13. NO Not at all ← Oh, I thought once hosting costs were covered, the cream from the google ads would be shared with paying members. Meh. I don't think it's p:ss poor that I don't pay for this website.
  14. The financial members get a cut of the Google ads revenue I assume?
  15. I wouldn't rule it out here. Not soon, but don't rule it out completely.
  16. Hi D Major, just curious, have you seen any gains in torque with your custom intake installed?
  17. Haha awesome, I knew it coz Liam told me about your Celica. It's Adrian. That really cool guy, remember?
  18. Hahah, oh ****, I didn't even notice that. You're a champ! A bored champ, but a champ :D
  19. Bummer, missed the vids :( Hey -[Ez]-, you're not Errol from my high-school are you? I went to Loyola.
  20. Welcome to the club! Personally I find the search function to be a bit of a hit & miss affair. Boost your chances of finding what you need by using the 'advanced' search functions (linked to in the search form). But still, that's no guarantee. I don't mind repeated questions, just be sure not to make multiple threads as some people around here don't appreciate it.
  21. Not sure if the stalk is the same at all, it's off a current Camry Azura, being a Toyota I figured it might just clip into the Rolla. Most parts seem to be practically universal. Well, I guess the foglights are a no go for me. Anyone know if any of the Rolla range has body colour foglamp covers? (The plastic inserts). At least they'd be better than the black.
  22. When I had those lights fitted to the wagon, all the wiring was there under the bonnet, but the interior bits couldn't be found, at least they weren't behind the driver's side dash, where I wanted the switch. I have a feeling, based on the switch design, that it is meant to fit in one of the "landscape" spots on the middle of the dash, and maybe the rest of the wiring is hidden in there. Will be interested to hear more if someone finds it. ← In the interior all the under bonnet stuff is wired into the indicator stalk. If you pulll apart the steering wheel colomn u'll find that there's a few looms that go into the indicator stalk. If we fork out extra cash, all we need to do is to plug in the new stalk that has the switch and all will work with the stock wiring. There doesn't seem to be a need for an extra relay or fuse doing it this way as the internal fuse box seems to already have a fuse there in the fog section. ← I've got a stalk, but no wiring :( Time to pick apart my mates Conquest I'd say. I don't think he'd mind as it's a lease car. :P
