  1. Did you change over the whole lot? The booster etc?
  2. TRD front and rear strut bars, eyelids, mesh grill. ← Seconded. Mostly the strut bars for me, not so much the eyelids and grill.
  3. le mans is le lying. I got quoted $150 for those pedals from Rick Wolany Toyota. Course, I got them through work instead, but they can be had.
  4. I've been wondering lately, perhaps some of you might know, where can I find illuminated 'Corolla' scuff plates (inner door trims) ? Similar to the ones in the Lexus RX400h.
  5. Probably a dumb idea, but have you tried Dans throttle body coolant bypass mod? Maybe it could help.
  6. Hi there, I couldn't afford the Stivo either so I've got an 05 Ascent Sport. As far as mods, yeah you can go the CAI, and cat-back exhaust, new springs, wheels etc etc. If you want some inexpensive minor mods to start with, read up on some of Danz posts regarding grounding wires and a throttle body coolant bypass, which I have not yet tried but it has definately got my interests piqued. Regarding your question about the difference in engines, the Stivo has a completely different engine to the standard rolla. It's a VVTL-i engine, the 2ZZ-GE as opposed the standard VVT-i 1ZZ-FE Corolla engine. I'll let the Stivo owners explain the Lift capabilities of their engine, but know that it is the same engine as found in the Celica, so you know it's a different beast all together. I'm interested to see what else comes out in this thread as I'm looking for mods to start on my car.
  7. I've found it only happens to me if I drive a little hard when it's still running cool. Is there a chance of a new mapping being issued?

    Help needed

There is a countermeasure for this issue which will be available in Sept/Oct. It involves an ECU replacement. I'd say wait till then and see your dealer if you find you have this issue.
  9. Don't ban me, I'm just geting comfy here. :(
  10. If I come across any more, I'll let you guys know.
  11. Thanks for the PM's, sorry I've only got two stickers so the first two PM's got them. mx83toy & eddy_torrezz Sorry again to those that missed out.
  12. Hello all, Not sure if this sort of post is kosher, if not, please let me know. I've got a couple of red Sportivo decals that I'm willing to give away to the first two people interested enough to send me a PM. The decals are from the current model L4 Camry Sportivo and are red with an embossed silver edging. I believe they will fit a Corolla Sportivo perfectly. Decals will be sent by standard post. I can post a pic if necessary.
  13. Dude, don't waste your time. Like I've been trying to tell you, and like xoom reiterated, engineering and production wont do anything / wont even find out about your problem if you simply keep ringing up Toyota. Taking your rolla into your dealer with a clear record of the conditions that cause the problem, so that they can reporoduce it themselves will likely get a Field Technical Report raised (as yet there is not a single one for this issue). When the FTRs start building, the issue gets escalated, and something will be done about it. You might as well save your phone money.
  14. It's pretty awesome to drive I must say.
  15. The only way it will be escalated through Toyota is for more FTR's to be lodged.
  16. I spoke to a number of people in Technical Services Operations who attempted to search for any FTR's related to the problem, as well as a gentleman from the dealer helpdesk. Unfortunately it turned up nothing related to our problem. The best advice I got was to monitor the vehicle and take specific notes when the issue occurs, such as your driving condition prior to the issue, the weather conditions, engine temperature, air conditioning system status, etc. to try to make it as repeatable as possible. The most significant step in trying to have the problem fixed is to physically reproduce the issue for the dealer.
  17. Hi all. I'm suffering the same issue as the original poster. It hasn't bothered me too much, but I'll definately bring it up at my next service seeing as my car is still under warranty. Slightly related; how long do you let your car warm up before driving? Is that a common thing? I'll see what I can find out about the idling issue through work.
