  1. there are a few things wrong with the video. some i will show and tell you about as i do this mod. i have lots of differant types of films at my disposal. much look the same as that but the video didn't exlaine a few things. 1, why does the film not crease, film is very touchy and he seems to be very rough with it. 2, that tailight should be pretty melted by this stage, heat guns emit alot of heat 3, he didn't offer an answer of how to avoid dirt. u can prolly imagion how sticky that film must be to stick to a car and remain there for years to come. dust and other **** floating around would stick 2 that film in about 2 seconds thus leaving a crap job. wish me luck with this mod though
  2. yeah i gotta say i liked it. i was hooked on it for a while there.
  3. spotted a couple of stivo's cruise past parklife at about 9:30ish last night. didn't catch plates sorry. both dark colours (blue/black) one has altezza's, lowered, zorst the other just zorst i think.
  4. its an electronic rust protection box. it is hooked up to the battery or power source and like guni said, it sends negative charge around the car. mind u it costs about 400 bucks to get it put on your car :P. not sure if it actually works but we sell heaps at work.
  5. i have been tinting for a few years aswell. i strongly reccomend not trying to do it yourself. took me a year to finally get it all right on most cars. depending on your location i might be able to help you out., like pointing you in the right direction with your tint. oh an a big no-no is getting the tinting done when buying the car. we charge the car yard 220 for a lightish/crap film, they charge the customer 400+ for it. if the customer brought the car to us we could have a better film (darkest legal ect) put on for alot less that 400. i work for quite a well known tinting place that does alot of well known car yards around the innerwest.
  6. ok let me set you straight here a 20v is NOT supercharged so it is p plater friendly 20valves come in two variets silver top and black top the silver top gives you around 120kws the black top gives you around 130-140 kws the black top is lighter but the trade off is its also a bit weaker both come with quad throttle bodys the black comes with vvti. the supercharged motor is the 4agze the block for this is good for a performance 4a motor as it commonly has oil squirters in the block for extra upper cylinder lubrication/cooling. if the sx your lookin at is a 90 model i wouldnt say itd be a series 2 im pretty sure the sx seca was the only one that came out with a second series that was produced roughly 92-93 and they were the only model to come out with power windows the trim options were also alot better as well. im fairly sure thats correct feel free to jump in and correct me anyone Silver top had 121Kw's and Black top was 127 from memory Both have VVT... but not VVTi NO ADM corollas had the Silvertop/Blacktop engine. The series 2 SX hatch was renamed the GTi but had lex equpment... no Electric Windows/ or Mirros and didnt come with alloys, just steel rims with Grey Hubcaps (rare as rocking horse *****) Series 2 had bigger front brakes, different front bar. Series 2 hatches had a reflective Garnish on the rear. Series 1 SX Seca and Hatch was definable but the Added "lip" on the front bar. the blacktop has vvti, silvertop has vvt and not all sx hatches came with power windows either. i had a ae93 that was a 1989 model. one of the first produced. mine had no power windows but also had the garnish. initial d dude. i suggest joining up to sydneyrollaclub.com and searching on their. the forums have alot of members who drive ae9x and can provide a mountain of information. and by the sounds of it, your not ever going to be able to make a AWD ae9x. this was covered on SRC and after a lengthy discussion, the relization that it is not possible hit. it will require alot of time money and knowledge.
  7. according to rolla boy then yes. i was under the impression that ALL sx's are ae93's the csi, csi ltd, csx ect were ae92's and the rv seca's were ae94's. i have had a csi ltd seca (4afe) and a sx hatch (4age) (later with a 20v) i defiantly recommend buying the sx straight out. the price is roughly the same these days. u will be kicking yourself if u buy a csi man trust me. i am sure u know that the ae86's are RWD, more expensive, older and dont have as many features as an ae92 sx. when i had the csi all i wanted was an sx, i then got an sx and all i wanted was a 20v engine i got a 20v blacktop then all i wanted was lift :P.
  8. there is a white ae93 sx corolla in new zealand that is AWD. mind you though it is on a gt4 engine ect. it would cost in excess of 25 grand to try to get a fwd corolla to be a awd.
  9. spotted a black trd aurion in at work number plates are TRD. he bought the car for about 54 grand a month ago.
  10. awesome song ^^^^ morgan page -- the longest road
  11. it is not actually a film that goes on the headlight. we always get people coming into work asking for their headlights tinted (tint-a-car fivedock) tint needs to be shunk or go on a flat surface. healights are plastic so shinking wont work and most are curved so u can't tint them. u will prolly find it is a spray that u spay onto the headlights, a bit like smoke screen but in differant colours.
  12. spotted BNS18L on queens road five dock on wednesday. also spotted a white sportivo lowered to the max on parra road. also been spotting a white yrx 3dr yaris, lowered, aftermarket tailights and 18's in thornleigh alot lately
