Just looking at buying good rubber for the stivo rims.

Want to keep them for the fronts only, so i was considering even semi-slicks aswell.

Whats the Best Tyre you recommend also how long did those semi slicks last if you got experience ?

Anyone used Toyo Proxes T1-S - 205/55/16 91W as im thinking of purchasing these.

If you can afford Pirelli’s go with them, over the years and after a lot of different cars I came to the conclusion that Pirelli’s have been the best so far ;)

Prices i got for tyres, not sure what to choose from below.

Yokohama AVS V102

205/55 R16

$221 each

Toyo RA-1: an R spec road legal race tyre.

Price for 205/55/16 is $275

Bridgestone Adrenalin re001, 205/50R16, price $205 each

Firestone Firehawk tz100 which cost $156 each

I use toyo proxes t1-r in 205/55/16 and they are an excellent tyre but in this size the tyre will rub the inner part of the chassis on full left lock.

I think it's probably better to go 205/50/16.

I'm currently using C.Drives still, they just wont die. They are better than the stockos, but what isn't.

According to Yokohama the correct tyre for the Sportivo rim is a 195/55R16, but you can get away with 205/50R16. I would keep away from 205/55R16 since there might be some sidewall flex. S.Drives and RE001 are now out in 205/50R16, all reviews say the RE001 is the better tyre.

P7000 18 x 7 225 40 Series @ $660 a tyre, they last about 2 years with moderate to hard driving also best tyre ever in the wet ;)

My budget probably stretch up to $300 for 16inch, haha $660 a tyre is a nono for me.

How long did the toyo proxes t1r last you ?

2 years now and about 20% tread left but then again I don't launch it at every set of lights. A great tyre in the wet too !

My toyos are proxes t1r are pretty much 2 years & still goin good,I have an alternative set for track days but still run with toyos but the 888 series fantastic semis slick tyres,Pirellis are great but realistically at the price there set at if ur goin by 'best bang for your buck'?? ide recommend the toyo series or Yokos,Ide drive with the 888's to & from events ,max six laps (hard driving) great in the wet & dry,my daily driver set proxes t1r's are still sticky wen at a grippable temp & thats two years old,u cant get better than that?? recommended

my bro used toyo, pirelli, and currently yoko..

he said toyo finishes a lot faster.. dunno y.. korean brand mayb? :P

his pirelli lasted for around 2 yrs..

pirelli isnt that expensive... if you dont look at their top of the range products..

Pirelli's P6000 or P7 (4got) cost around the same as the yoko's A drive R1..

hes using A drive R1 now coz.. its a little cheaper.

im gonna go and get some quotes for the A drive/S drive tomorrow...

People have been saying good comments about the Bridgestone Adrenalin Re001.

They retail at $205 for the 205/50R16.

Proxes t1r's are not completely sure on the price.

I guess those 2 tyres seem like really good performers, so i gotta choose from them two.

Thanks for your help :)
