Car looks nice. What size rims are those??

Did you cut your nice TRD intake??? If so why??

The front bar looks awesome is that original or the one from carmate....

Yeah dude what's the deal with your TRD CAI?

That kit is looking rad though, keep going! I wanna see it finished!

First of all thanks all for looking! Now inregards to your questions

Car looks nice. What size rims are those??

Did you cut your nice TRD intake??? If so why??

The front bar looks awesome is that original or the one from carmate....

My rims are 16's will make them 17's P1 Racers or Wedsports SA70's (depends on how much money i get from my future project haha)

Yes i did cut my intake, i was having problems fitting it and the little rubber brace TRD provides was too short. Mine is only a 1zz and since the engine is smaller/lower (compared to the 2zz), it didn't sit properly

- it was in the path of the battery

- would put pressure on my right head light,

- the pipe would block the headlight cover so if the bulb goes out id need to take out the intake to change it

Also the pod would hit the chassis at the bottom. Now it fits perfect! and MORE then enough clearance for a fog light (but that wont be the case with this new kit :P)

+ it looks sexier with the S tube

Unfortunately yes it is from carmate - id hate to say it but their service wasnt that bad LOL. But the kit didnt fit at ALL but i was prepared for it. Took me about 40 minutes to get it to sit into place, and about another 20 minutes to make it flush on the right side

Left side is next, it should require the same amount of work i done on the right side (hopefully  ) Would be quicker if i had a jigsaw haha. Using a hacksaw and angle grinder sucks :P

As for the Intake, as above

do you have any more shots or your rear?

and do you have a muffler/tip on it?

Nah im still running the stock exhaust so its pointing down. If i do get an aftermarket one id prob keep it pointing down somehow.

Everything in my car was pretty much DIY.

Special thanks to

Mark/Mish & Dylan for doing the coilovers installation

Zarate Garage - Toyota specialists in HassallGrove :P

Dsports - doing all the paintings

Anyways - hopefully in a month or so it should all be looking shmick! got to go snowies so ill be painting and installing my bar after July !9th.

Future Mods

Hehe, finally ive started playing with my car again.

Here are some new pics

(the front bar hasnt been screwed on yet :P - i jus test fitted it and i had to go yumcha for fathers day. I was using my camera fone to take these pics, so when i come back from lunch ill be taking some proper pics with my camera and the front bar properly screwed in)

As i said, kit was from carmate and it required some modification to make it fit. As you can see it fits quite well after i played with it. The only problem now is that gap between the top of the front bar and the hood. I actually fixed that when i sent it to painting, but im guessing when they put it into the bake it mustve sagged back down (since i didnt use any new fibreglass to remould it). Im not game to remould it cos its already been painted. But i dont think its that bad. When i get it for a respray ill fix it up.

Ill be puttin on a TRD badge onto the mesh, painting the mesh black and filling the other 2 holes with mesh. And of course putting on my number plate :P. Ill be stopping modifications once im short shifter comes in and next year hopefully if im still interested ill be putting in some forced induction :D :D

ps. i love the rims jaze LOL.

Got the bar on properly now, with a black mesh. Snapped one of the clips cos i pushed the bar in too hard on the right. Now it doesnt sit as flush until i buy a new clip.

Well here are some snapshots with my proper camera.

Conclusion? im 70% happy with the result, i mean only spent $550 compared to the $1500 c-one version (that incldues paint).

Here are the problems with the bar. There is a gap near the bonet, originally i fixed it but like i said it mustve sagged back down when it went into bake during painting (i used el cheapo fibreglass and not much of it)

Right side doesnt sit as flush as when i trial fitted it due to me being a total noob and snapping the clip.
