Front Discs

Recommended Posts

Ok i have front disc rotors that are in need of some maintenance and i get some shuddering either when its wet & when it wants to have a bitch lol .. or do they need to be replaced? dont know what would be the best option i know one disc is groovy and the other is smooth as.

Getting disks machined or buying new ones?

if i were to get them machined where and how much would it cost?

i know new ones cost start from about 100 bucks each

Shuddering means that the discs are in need of machining...

Measure the disc thickness and compare that to the minimun thickness specified by Toyota...

You will need an extra mm more than the minimum thickness for machining as it takes off around .8mm...

If your discs are almost on minimum thickness or on it, then yeah, replace the discs...

Disc Maching will set you back around $50 or so...

As you said, new discs start from around $100each depending on brand and model...

I bought some RDA slotted front rotors for the sportivo 2 days ago which cost me $165 for the pair, it's not as expensive as you think if you are prepared to shop around.

...:g:...

Maybe I'll get sick brakes next. Do they look good Dylan? Nice slotted discs and red calipers would make me happy in pants
