I broke my PC

Righto, So in my D drive I have a bunch of folders that we managed to save when my last PC died, amongst all them folders I had one called "my docs" which contained many more important folders including all my southpark, porn, music, and original tracks I produced.

I went to open this folder but accidently dragged it into some random folder on my D drive and now when I try to open "my docs" from this random folder it says "Access Denied"

Anyone got any idea how to fix it??

You will need to turn off 'Simple File Sharing'.

To do this:

Goto My Computer > Tools Menu > Folder Options > 'View' tab

Scroll to the bottom of the list under 'Advanced Settings' and uncheck the 'Use simple file sharing (recommended)'. Click OK.

Now go to the folder you want to try and access and right-click it and click 'Properties'.

Click on the 'Security' tab.

Click on 'Advanced' > 'Owner' tab

Then in the 'Name' list, select your name (Account you're logged in under) or Administrator if you're logged in as the Administrator.

Click OK, and then Yes, and then OK.

And you should be able to access it now.

If not, then go back to the part where you select your account under the 'Name' list and check that 'Replace owner on subcontainers and objects'.
