I recently had to replace the standard tape player in my 01 echo after not having the security code.

Toyota wanted $45 to decode <_<

I figured, it would be money better spent on a more recent head unit.

I purchased this unit

which acording to the faceplate is mp3 compatible.

I assumed that if I were to place a CD-R containing mp3 files, it would play them

Instead, it says something to the effect of 'no music found'

I know it's a factory Toyota head unit, but don't know from what vehicle.

If anyone has a manual which describes the operation of this unit, would it be possible to get a copy ?

I'd settle for the section that describes how to play a mp3 from disc :spiteful:

Cheers,

Steve
